'Didn't Take It Well': Harsh Gujral, Sudhanshu On Janvee's Reaction To 'Jhaar Phoonk' Remark
The Traitors: Sudhanshu Pandey and Harsh Gujral spoke about the latter accusing Janvee Gaurr of practising black magic.
Actor Sudhanshu Pandey and comedian Harsh Gujral were a part of Karan Johar-hosted The Traitors. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, they reflected on their much-talked-about dynamic with Janvee Gaurr. They reacted to Harsh accusing Janvee of practising black magic, and how the offhand comment snowballed into an uncomfortable silence.
Harsh Gujral recalled how he was the only one who initially struck up conversations with Janvee. 'Ek hi banda tha jo Janvee ji se baat karta tha, wo main tha (I was the only one in the house who spoke to her)," he told us. 'Maine bola tha mean nahi kiya tha. Uske baad usne baat hi nahi ki. Is baar mili thi toh theek thi (I told her that I didn't meant it but she never spoke to me in the house after that. But she was fine when we met recently)," he added, explaining that though he didn't intend to hurt her, she stopped talking to him after that incident.
Sudhanshu Pandey, on the other hand, shared his perspective on why things may have soured. 'Aap live show mein camera ke aage 'jhaar phoonk' wala bana do toh kya lagega? (You are doing about black magic on live television)" he said, laughing at the memory. He added thoughtfully, 'She comes from a very different background. She probably did not understand the whole scenario well. She is a single mother, lives by herself. Aadmi ek zone se aata hai, aisi cheez mazaak mazaak mein bol di (Everyone comes from their own zone). She didn't take it well."
Both actors pointed out how regional stereotypes may have played a role in how their words were perceived. Harsh, who hails from Kanpur, admitted, 'North ka tone hi aisa lagta hai ke kuch galat hi bol raha hoga (People generally tend to misunderstand the tone of North Indians)." Sudhanshu chimed in, 'North ke logo ko pata nahi kyu log iss nazar se dekhte hain ke wo zaleel aadmi hain (I don't know why people look at North Indians as if they are indecent or disrespectful)," to which Harsh quipped with a grin, 'Hum thode bohot toh hain (We are a little bit)." Their banter made it clear that while they may come across as brusque to some, their intentions were never malicious.
Meanwhile, Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther went on to win The Traitors.

Uorfi Javed opens up on secret love story with a Delhi boy who's nowhere on Instagram, says, 'He is very...'
Uorfi Javed, known for her out-of-the-box fashion, is now trending not for a bold outfit, but a bold revelation. In a chat with Mashable India, she casually confessed she's taken. Yes, Uorfi has a boyfriend. And he's as low-key as she is out there. A soft-spoken Delhi guy with no digital presence? When teased about her sky-high heels, Uorfi spilled the first clue, 'My boyfriend is 6'4.' She then shared, 'He is from Delhi. He is very, very shy. He has zero posts on Instagram. His digital footprint is nothing. We meet every weekend.' Turns out, every Friday to Sunday, she flies to Delhi just to see him. A love story in motion, quite literally. How did they even meet? The way she met him sounds like a scene from a romcom, but with a twist. She said, 'Coincidentally kahi mil gayi thi mein. We just happened to be at a place at the same time. Very, very weird first meeting. Uske mummy papa bhi waha the.' At the time, the guy was actually exploring an arranged marriage set-up. But destiny had other plans. 'Maine shaadi tudwadi uski,' Uorfi joked, only to add that nothing had been finalised yet. What about Uorfi's past? Before this Delhi mystery man, Uorfi was in a much-talked-about relationship with TV actor Paras Kalnawat. They met in 2017 during Meri Durga but split five months later. Paras even got tattoos inked for her, but Uorfi didn't look back. 'Even if he tattoos his whole body, I won't return,' she once said. What else do we know about Uorfi? Born in Lucknow in 1996, Uorfi has three sisters and a brother. Beyond the headlines and viral outfits, she's made her mark on shows like Bigg Boss OTT and The Traitors, where she emerged as the winner. But now, it's her mysterious romance that's turning heads, with someone who doesn't even exist online.

Mrunal Thakur opens up about ‘nazar' due to oversharing things amid dating rumours with Dhanush: 'Don't want to jinx it'
Bollywood actor Mrunal Thakur is rumoured to be dating actor Dhanush. While the two are yet to confirm the speculations, fans are convinced about their alleged relationship. Amid this, Mrunal opened up about the importance of being mindful about what one shares about themselves with others. She talked about believing in 'nazar' (evil eye). Talking to Instant Bollywood, Mrunal said, "There are a lot of things I still need to do with my career, a lot of boxes I haven't checked. But I will talk about those things once I do them, because I don't want to jinx it by talking about them. I believe the whole nazar thing, 'bohut nazar lagti hai' (evil eye jinxes things)." She asserted that having boundaries is important. "Boundaries. One should think before speaking about oneself. You should control how much you are telling the world. Sometimes we end up saying the things we want to do or are doing currently, and we jinx it ourselves. I have a very different personality in that sense, because someone might talk about the number of releases they have next year. I don't want to talk about it; everyone knows what's coming and what's not. I don't like to constantly think and talk about the things that are happening in my life." "People ask me about my work and how I deal with the pressure, but I don't feel it. I am a very positive person, so I don't have to necessarily work on it. I don't even feel tense or pressured before a release," she added. Her statement came in the wake of dating rumours between Mrunal and Dhanush that spread like wildfire. Reportedly, Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur's dating speculations began when he attended the Son of Sardaar 2 actor's birthday on 1 August. He was also seen at the special premiere of her latest film. A News18 Showsha report claimed, 'Yes, it's true that they (Mrunal and Dhanush) are dating. But it's too new and they've no plans of making their relationship official before the public or the media. At the same time, they're unfazed about going out and about and being spotted. Friends are truly rooting for them as they're quite similar and compatible when it comes to their values, choices and thoughts'. Dhanush was previously married to superstar Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwaryaa. After 18 years of being together, Dhanush and Aishwarya parted ways in 2022.

Ranbir Kapoor Looks Dapper, Waves At Paps As He Visits Bhansali's Office
It should be noted that the shooting of Love and War is likely to begin soon in Mumbai. Reports suggest Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal will have an intense face-off in the film. Over the last few weeks, Ranbir Kapoor has repeatedly been snapped visiting Sanjay Leela Bhansali's office in Mumbai. Looks like the duo, who will be reuniting for Love And War soon, are preparing to begin the film's shoot soon. Amid all this, Ranbir Kapoor was once again spotted outside the Bhansali office on Wednesday afternoon. In a video that surfaced on social media, the Animal actor was seen getting out of his car as he entered Bhansali's office. The actor looked dapper in a white t-shirt, which he layered with a blue shirt and matching jeans. He was all smiles as he waved for the paparazzi and paused to pose for the cameras. Watch the video here: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Snehkumar Zala (@sneyhzala) It should be noted that the shooting of Love and War is likely to begin soon in Mumbai. Reports suggest Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal will have an intense face-off in the film. However, the makers have not made any official statement regarding the film's development or plot as of now. What Did Ranbir Singh Say About Reuniting With Bhansali? Earlier this year, Ranbir talked about the project during a meet and greet event in Mumbai when he said, 'Love and War is something which is every actor's dream. To work with brilliant actors like Alia and Vicky and to be directed by the master – Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I worked with him 17 years ago. To work with him again, I can say this with so much of clarity that I haven't met a human being who works so hard, who understands characters, emotions, music, Indian culture, Indian value system, as much as Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Just to be on his set, it is tiring. It is long. The process can be a little daunting but eventually, as an artist, it is so satisfying. He really nurtures art. As actors, it's truly been amazing so far." What Does Alia Bhatt Think About Her On-Screen Reunion With Ranbir Kapoor? Last year, in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Alia Bhatt also talked about the film and her reunion with Ranbir when she said, 'I, as an audience, am more excited to see him [Bhansali] and Ranbir collaborate, again, after so many years. I am like, 'wow, what's that going to be like?" Talking about reuniting with Vicky Kaushal, Alia continued by saying, 'Vicky and I coming together again; Ranbir and Vicky created magic with Sanju. So, it is a lot of combinations." Love and War is scheduled for release on March 20, 2026. First Published: August 06, 2025, 20:06 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
