What is Luka Doncic's status for Slovenia's friendly match on Tuesday?
Fortunately, he was diagnosed with a mere knee contusion, and it was reported that the ailment wasn't thought to be serious.
Doncic was expected to participate in practice on Monday, and it was determined that he's good to go. Therefore, the Slovenian national team announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he will play in the team's next friendly on Tuesday versus Great Britain (translated into English).
"myteam ready for tomorrow's match against Great Britain at Stožice Arena at 8 PM.
"The captain, Luka Dončić, will also play in the match!"
Before suffering his injury scare on Saturday, Doncic had poured in 26 points and five assists in the first half of that contest versus Latvia.
After Tuesday, Slovenia will have one more friendly on Thursday against Serbia. It will then kick off its official EuroBasket schedule on Aug. 28 by taking on Poland.

Lakers jersey history No. 4 — Ron Harper
Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary. As the Lakers approach their 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years. Let's take a look at Ron Harper, who helped the Lakers win back-to-back NBA championships in the twilight of his career. When Harper started his pro career as the No. 8 pick in the 1986 draft, he was an acrobatic high-flyer. He averaged 22.9 points, 4.8 assists and 2.5 steals a game as a rookie and was the runner-up in the Rookie of the Year balloting. While the 6-foot-6 guard continued to put up strong numbers in subsequent seasons, he suffered a torn ACL and torn cartilage in his right knee during the 1989-90 season and started to lose his vaunted athleticism. He signed as a free agent with the Chicago Bulls in 1994, and he started to reinvent himself as a defensive-minded role player. He started alongside Michael Jordan in the Bulls' backcourt as the team won NBA championships in 1996, 1997 and 1998 under coach Phil Jackson. When the Lakers hired Jackson in 1999, he brought Harper with him to L.A. Harper served as a buffer between Jackson and the rest of the team as the Lakers attempted to learn the complicated triangle offense that made the Jordan-led Bulls so successful. He started in 78 of his 80 games during the 1999-2000 season, and while he was limited to 47 games the following season, he still contributed to L.A.'s second straight world title. Today, Harper is also known as the father of Dylan Harper, who was taken by the San Antonio Spurs with the No. 2 pick in this year's draft after a successful season at Rutgers University.

Hugh Freeze suggests multiple QBs could see time Auburn's season-opener at Baylor
Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze caught the attention of Auburn fans during Monday's airing of the long-running radio show "Tiger Talk" with host Andy Burcham. During the show, Freeze was asked if there was a possibility that all three quarterbacks on Auburn's depth chart: Jackson Arnold, Deuce Knight, and Ashton Daniels, could play in the Tigers' season-opener against Baylor next Friday night. To which he responded, "Yeah." Whether he truly means that or if he is using it as a tool to confuse Baylor's game plan, it was enough to cause a negative reaction from the Auburn fan base, due mostly to past games such as the 2016 season-opener against Clemson, in which Sean White, Jeremy Johnson, and John Franklin III ran the offense from the quarterback position. To shed more light on the situation, we will rewind to earlier in the day when Freeze spoke to the media one final time in the preseason. During his time with the media, he shared that he is "pleased" with both Knight and Daniels in the backup role, and feels that "there is a place for both, depending on the scenario in the game." He also says that it has been difficult to fully evaluate Arnold and the rest of his quarterbacks due to the "no contact" policy at practices. "Our offensive staff is frustrated when you're in a scrimmage and you don't feel like you're getting maybe the yards that you would've gotten because the whistle is just getting blown," Freeze said Monday. "Somebody gets near (Arnold) in the pocket and it gets blown. Then you watch the film and you're like, 'I'm pretty confident he got out of this one.' I don't know what would've happened afterwards. I would've loved to have seen. I don't know how you do that until it's real. We've seen enough tape to know he has that ability. You see it out there. We called a few today and are still blowing it pretty quick. I have to see the film, but it looked like you're clicking off five, six, seven yards there. Not just him, Ashton (Daniels) and Deuce (Knight) also." Freeze and the Tigers have just over a week to figure out the pecking order and strategy for quarterbacks before taking the field for the season opener.
