Mabrian, part of The Data Appeal Company – Almawave Group signed a strategic partnership with the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) to provide industry-led and reliable data-driven insights that support the sustainable growth of the travel industry as Knowledge Partner. As part of this collaboration agreement, in which The Data Appeal Company – Almawave Group also takes part, both companies will give WTTC access to their comprehensive travel intelligence databases, offering in-depth data analysis and insights on key industry trends: air connectivity, traveller's sentiment and interests, demand profiling, accommodation supply, and event impact analysis, among others.

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Tourism on Tuesday announced the formation of a cross-sector advisory board for TOURISE, a new global tourism platform aiming to reshape the industry through collaboration across technology, sustainability, aviation, entertainment, and education. The 14-member board, chaired by Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb, includes senior figures from organisations such as the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), Amadeus, TikTok, Cirque du Soleil, and the Saudi Tourism Authority. The board will guide TOURISE's strategic direction and shape the agenda for its inaugural summit in Riyadh, set to take place from November 11-13, 2025. The move underscores Saudi Arabia 's ambition to position itself at the centre of global tourism policy and innovation, while promoting cross-industry collaboration on issues such as sustainability, equity, and sectoral diversity. 'TOURISE is driving cross-sector global collaboration, and the formation of the Advisory Board ensures we are uniting diverse perspectives from across the global tourism ecosystem,' Al-Khateeb said in a statement. During Q1 2025, Saudi Arabia recorded a 102 per cent surge in international arrivals compared with Q1 2019, far exceeding the global average of 3 per cent and the Middle East's 44 per cent, the UN report showed. 'This outstanding growth underscores Saudi Arabia's position as a key player in both regional and global tourism and underlines its unwavering commitment to advancing the sector,' the report noted. Growth aligned with Saudi' Vision 2030 goals The gains reflect Vision 2030 strategy to diversify the economy and attract 100 million annual visitors by the end of the decade. The kingdom has significantly ramped up investment in tourism infrastructure, from mega projects like NEOM and the Red Sea to hosting major sporting and cultural events. A recent report by the World Economic Forum (WEF), produced in collaboration with Kearney and Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Tourism, said tourism is set to outpace global economic growth. The sector is forecast to contribute $16tn to global GDP by 2034 — more than 11 per cent of the world economy, according to WTTC estimates. Saudi Arabia is positioned at the forefront of this shift.
