Oldham battle from behind twice to earn promotion to Football League
An early own-goal from Manny Monthe had given the Shrimpers the lead, but was cancelled out by Joe Garner's penalty after Monthe had been brought down in the area.

Oldham boss Micky Mellon unsurprisingly named the same starting XI which won 3-0 against York in the semi-final, only to see his side concede their first goal of the play-offs with just four minutes on the clock.
Gus Scott-Morriss pounced on a loose pass in midfield and chipped the ball into the area for Charley Kendall to chase and his presence was enough to pressure the unfortunate Monthe to loft the ball over his own goalkeeper.
Garner came close to an equaliser when his header from Tom Pett's corner came back off the post and Oldham felt they should have had a penalty when Mike Fondop went down in the area under a challenge from Harry Taylor.

Taylor did not appear to get much of the ball but referee Elliot Bell waved away the appeals and the Oldham fans suffered more frustration in the last minute of the half as Fondop missed a golden chance to equalise.
A defensive clearance was charged down and left Fondop through on goal, but after clipping the ball over goalkeeper Nick Hayes he could only look on as it drifted agonisingly wide of the post.
It took less than a minute of the second half for Oldham to finally get back on level terms, Garner calmly scoring from the penalty spot after Monthe had been brought down in the area.

Neither side was able to find a winner in normal time but Southend regained the lead just seconds into extra-time, goalkeeper Mathew Hudson parrying a deflected cross from Scott-Morriss straight on to the head of substitute Chambers-Parillon to head into the empty net.
Oldham refused to throw in the towel and Norwood got them back on level terms for the second time when he latched on to a long ball through the middle and took a deft touch around Hayes before slotting the ball into an empty net.
And just two minutes later Oldham grabbed the winner as Harratt's curling cross evaded everyone in the area before nestling into the far corner to send the Latics fans wild.

Nick Townsend leaves League Two Newport County for Eastleigh
The 30-year-old goalkeeper entered negotiations with the Exiles at the end of last season but opted for a fresh challenge after seven years at Rodney Parade. The Antigua & Barbuda international, who racked up 209 appearances to become a County great, will now drop out of the Football League to play for the Spitfires. Eastleigh finished 13th out of 24 in the National League last season and Townsend will play under a boss who is a former goalkeeper, former Southampton, Wimbledon and Ipswich stopper Kelvin Davis. It is fair to assume that the contract length and financial package made the move to the south coast more attractive than staying in League Two on fresh County terms for stalwart Townsend. Arguably the Exiles are only still in the fourth tier thanks to his performances, particularly in a vital run of wins in February. Ker balances Wrexham AFC going for it and consolidation
It's a topic that Reds' executive director Humphrey Ker has touched upon, with the club having momentum following back-to-back-to-back promotions from the National League. However, coupled with ambition is the realisation there's plenty of infrastructure work required at the club. Speaking to Gabby Logan and Mark Chapman on The Sports Agents podcast, Ker said: 'It's an interesting one, because we talk a lot in the building about momentum. Like, we know that a huge amount of the success we've enjoyed this year was built on the foundations of two seasons ago. 'Our starting XI on the game that we clinched promotion against Charlton... if we hadn't got a couple of injuries, I think you might have had seven, maybe, players starting that game who had been with us in the National League. 'So, for us, that momentum is really important and you think, weirdly, despite all the many, many challenges and that we've got infrastructure issues, we don't have a training ground. 'Our stadium's very small, there's a lot of things that make it a little bit more difficult for us at present, this might be our best shot to go through the Championship.' Ker touched upon the subject of clubs in the second tier with Premier League parachute payments, which has been reduced with Luton Town's relegation to League One. While a fourth successive promotion would be welcomed by the club, Ker wouldn't actually mind a mid-table finish as Wrexham prepare for their first season in the second tier in over four decades. He added: 'I mean, realistically, if someone offered me 10th place now, I'd absolutely bite your hand off and would not worry too much about promotion. 'We're about to pump a load of money into this brand new stand, which is more than a stand for us. It's going to be a club shop. 'It's going to be offices. It's going to be a whole raft of things that go beyond just having an extra 5,000 seats in the stadium. 'We've got to do a training ground as well. We've got an awful lot of stuff we need to do.'
