NTPC Simhadri was conferred with `Gold in Excellence' in OOH Advertising and Silver for Excellence in CSR at the Tusker awards 2025, organised by the ICTEP Council in Trivandrum.
The event was graced by Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament, who delivered a keynote address, and G.R. Anil, Kerala Minister for Food & Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs, and Legal Metrology, according to a release here on Sunday.

'No one had any doubt," he added while replying to his son's question on Pakistan's repeated denial of involvement in the attack. 'Let me say very clearly that India would not have done this without convincing evidence," the Congress leader replied. However, Shashi Tharoor admitted that the media in 'two or three places" did raise the question. 'India is not the kind of country that would undertake a military operation without a solid basis," Tharoor added during the press briefing at the Council of Foreign Relations in the US. Who Is Ishaan Tharoor? According to his LinkedIn profile, Ishaan earned his bachelor's degree from Yale University in 2006, majoring in history and ethnicity, along with race and migration studies. During his time there, he was honoured with the Sudler fellowship. Ishaan began his journalism career in 2006 as a reporter for Time magazine, eventually becoming a senior editor based in New York City. In 2014, he joined The Washington Post, continuing his work in Washington, DC. From 2018 to 2020, Ishaan also served as an adjunct instructor at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, where he taught a course titled Global Affairs in the Digital Age, as noted on his LinkedIn profile. He recently gained widespread attention for a surprising exchange with his father, Shashi Tharoor, which caught many by surprise.

'I'll tell you why not': Shashi Tharoor snubs Trump's mediation claim over ceasefire
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who is leading the Indian diplomatic outreach programme in the Americas, dismissed the idea of any mediation between India and Pakistan, stating that there "can be no negotiation with unequals." Tharoor, while responding to a question during a conversation at the Council on Foreign Relations, said that negotiations 'cannot happen, especially when one side consists of terrorists and the other their victims.' "Mediation is not a term that we are particularly willing to entertain. I'll tell you why not. The fact is that this implies, even when you say things like a broker or whatever, you're implying an equivalence which simply doesn't exist," Tharoor said, as quoted by news agency PTI. Since May 10, when Trump announced on social media that India and Pakistan had agreed to a 'full and immediate' ceasefire after a 'long night' of talks mediated by Washington, he has repeated his claim over a dozen times that he 'helped settle' the tensions between India and Pakistan. Details here Trump also claimed that he told the nuclear-armed South Asian neighbours that America would do a 'lot of trade' with them if they stopped the conflict. However, the Indian government has already rejected Trump's claim of mediation between India and Pakistan to stop military actions from both sides. About two weeks after the horrific April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir in which 26 civilians were killed, India launched Operation Sindoor targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on May 7. Washington, June 6 (UNI) Congress MP Shashi Tharoor who is leading an all-party delegation to the US, was asked a question by his son Ishan about Pakistan's denial of any involvement in the Pahalgam terror attack. Ishaan Tharoor wanted to know from his father whether any country had asked for evidence of Pakistan's involvement in the attack on April 22 and about Pakistan's consistent denial of its involvement in the attack. "Have any of your government interlocutors asked you to show evidence of Pakistan's culpability in the initial attack ? And what do you say to the repeated Pakistani denials of having any hand in the initial attack ?' Ishaan asked. Shashi Tharoor said India would not have retaliated the way it did if there was not convincing evidence against Pakistan. "I'm very glad you raised this. I didn't plant it, I promise you. Very simply, no one had any doubt, and we were not asked for evidence. But the media have asked in two or three places. Let me say very clearly that India would not have done this without convincing evidence. But there were three particular reasons I want to draw your attention to all of you. "The first is that we've had a 37-year pattern of repeated terror attacks from Pakistan, accompanied by repeated denials. I mean,Americans haven't forgotten that Pakistan didn't know, allegedly, where Osama bin Laden was until he was found in a Pakistani safe house right next to an army camp in a cantonment city.
