Danny Miller struggled with the "boredom" on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'.
The 'Emmerdale' actor won the 2021 series of the popular ITV reality show but revealed that it was tedious spending so much time at Gwrych Castle in Wales – where the series temporarily relocated to during the coronavirus pandemic.
In an interview with New! magazine, Danny said: "I hated the boredom. Even with great people, there's only so much you can talk about.
"What I loved was showing people who Danny really is, not just Aaron, my character. It was an amazing feeling, to be myself on a show I've loved since childhood. It felt like a real achievement."
The 34-year-old star revealed that he was taken aback by how meagre the food portions are on the programme.
Miller said: "The one shock is how tiny the portions are of food are. You can't believe how little rice and beans you get. Plus, no condiments – that was tough."

Danny has portrayed the character of Aaron Dingle in 'Emmerdale' since 2008 but has revealed that he would love to play an "underworld gangster" in the future after some of his pals starred in the BBC drama 'This City Is Ours'.
He said: "My friends Jack McMullen and James Nelson-Joyce have just done 'This City Is Ours' – it's brilliant.
"Playing an underworld gangster would be a dream. But I'm happy where I am right now."
Danny's alter ego Aaron is set to get married to his partner John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) in upcoming episodes of 'Emmerdale' – although the day is thrown into chaos when John's dark past catches up with him – and the star has teased some "special" scenes on the ITV soap.
He explained: "Well, it's one of our special episodes. We've started exploring a lot more now than ever before.
"It's really interesting because it's done from John's imagination, which makes it very different.

"With so many soap weddings, you have to find ways to make them feel fresh. It's set across three days and it's lots of fun – but of course, there's drama and angst, too."

How to watch The 1% Club for Soccer Aid celebrity special
Comedian Lee Mack returns to present the show but this time he'll be joined by 100 celebrities and sports stars. They will be put to the test in the quiz where 'the questions have nothing to do with remembering facts, but are all about logic and common sense', explains the Radio Times. The aim will be to make it to the end, answering the 1% question correctly to take home up to £100,000 for charity. How does The 1% Club work? ITV said: 'Find out how clever you are as Lee Mack presents the quiz where it doesn't matter how good you are at quizzes and where 100 contestants could win up to 100,000 pounds.' As pointed out by the Radio Times, the show isn't about knowing facts, it's about using your brain to answer the questions. Each player gets one pass which they can use to help them skip a question but once they have used it, an incorrect answer takes them out of the game. If they make it to the 1% question, they will be asked to go down to the stage for the final question where they'll see if they are winners. Who will be on The 1% Club for Soccer Aid? While a full lineup hasn't been revealed by ITV, some promotions for the show have seen a few famous faces preparing for their stint. Among those famous faces are comedian Paddy McGuinness, rapper Aitch and Love Island narrator Iain Stirling. Brother and sister presenting duo Scarlette and Stuart Douglas will go up against each other in the quiz with Stuart saying he hopes to do better than his sister. Tonight's show will see 100 celebrities and sports stars try their luck at The 1% Club (Image: Magnum TV/ITV) Sports stars Greg Rutherford, Jill Scott, Tony Bellew and Chris Kamara are also in the audience, hoping to score some big money for charity. James Martin announces Saturday Morning break as he makes exciting summer plans
James Martin bid his Saturday Morning viewers a fond farewell as the show is being taken off the air for the summer - and he did not explain exactly when the show will be back James Martin has revealed he is shunning exotic holidays and choosing to relax in the UK as his Saturday Morning TV show is paused for the summer. The 52-year-old TV chef took to the air for a final time this weekend ahead of an extended break. The star has been hosting ITV's James Martin's Saturday Morning since 2017 - but fans will have to go for several weeks without seeing him on screens. On Saturday, the host explained that his show is being put on ice for the summer. He did not give an explicit time or date that the long-running series would return - but did shed light on what he would be doing in the interim. After thanking his guests and co-stars, he engaged in some banter with his crew. When the episode came to an end, James announced: "That is also for the series. Me and the crew are heading off on sunny holidays. Different climates." Turning to his team, he asked: "Where are you going?" A crew member could be heard replying that they would be going to Portugal - leading James to reveal he was looking forward to a staycation rather than jetting off to the sun. He revealed: "Yorkshire for me." Saturday's episode brought to a close the current season of the show - which was forced to be shorter than usual due to a conflicting event. He told fans: "Because of the Derby on ITV1 this afternoon, it is a shorter episode than usual today. But we still have time for one more dish." When the episode ended, he made sure to explain that he was grateful to his guests, crew and viewers for making his show a continued success. He said: "That's all we have got time for today, a massive thank you to all of my guests." He continued: "To my food team, you can sleep better now. Daniel and Sally, and of course, Harry Redknapp and Carly Paoli." James later teased when his show would be back on the air - but did not commit to an exact date. He said: "We will be back here with more top chefs, other brilliant guests, and more delicious recipes later on in the year." And signing off, he told viewers: "Until then, thanks for watching. Have a wonderful, fantastic summer. I'll see you out there wherever you are. Thanks for watching, see you again soon, goodbye for now." ITV has been making headlines in recent weeks over the brutal changes they have been making behind-the-scenes, reportedly leading to staff redundancies and even reports Lorraine Kelly is considering quitting the network after her number of shows per year was cut in half and her time slot hugely reduced. ITV revealed last month: "From January 2026, Good Morning Britain will be extended by 30 minutes to run from 6am to 9.30am daily, and will transfer to be produced by ITV News at ITN at their base at Gray's Inn Road in London. GMB will be made by a dedicated team within ITV News at ITN. "This change will see ITV bring all its national news gathering into one hub, with Good Morning Britain benefitting from the journalistic and production resources already in place for national news bulletins, for the website and for digital platforms including ITVX." It was added: "Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women will continue to be produced by ITV Studios and will be broadcast from a new location in central London." Drastic changes have not yet been made for weekend scheduling.
