Love Island: Everything To Know About Casa Amor's Cach
With the infamous Casa Amor just around the corner, the tension is only set to rise even higher. In case you need reminding, the twist sees existing couples forced apart, with each partner being tested by new arrivals in Casa Amor and the main villa.
One fresh face ready to shake things up in Casa Amor is Cach, who has already got everyone talking despite having only just stepped foot in the villa. You might even recognise him from a previous dating show...
Cach, whose real name is Cacherel Mirjah Mercer, is one of the boys joining Love Island for Casa Amor alongside Boris, Ty, Jamie, Martin and Chris. Cach lives in East London, and works as a professional dancer.
When it comes to dynamics in the villa, Cach has admitted he isn't afraid to rock the boat - making him a perfect contestant for the ultimate Casa Amor test. 'None of them were together to begin with. No one is boyfriend and girlfriend, they're all saying they're open,' he said, adding he has his eye on Shakira, Billykiss and Emily.
And as for his type, he's admitted it's 'Someone who's emotionally intelligent, beautiful, charismatic, caring, affectionate, and I'd say an intro extrovert.'
From what he's said, it sounds like Cach has his eyes on the prize - but is adamant he will maintain his values throughout the process.
In a pre-show chat with ITV, he confessed: 'I think I'm gonna get into trouble, I feel like I'll be the joker of the group!' adding I'll also be the person people come to for advice... and a bit of eye candy at the same time. People expect me to be a bit of a menace when it comes to dating, but if you get to know me and my values I'm the complete opposite, I'm a modern day Romeo!'
You might recognise Cach from his appearance an another dating show called Are You The One? UK which aired back in 2022 on MTV. He was 20 at the time he appeared on the show, and went by his real name, Cacharel.
The show followed a group of singletons as they are put together in a house to find a match which has been chosen for by science. And there's a £200,000 prize fund up for grabs if they are correctly paired up when the series comes to an end.

Samie Elishi shows ex Sam Thompson what he's missing as she poses for sultry snaps in a thong bikini during Bali getaway
Samie Elishi showed ex Sam Thompson what he's missing as she posed for sultry bikini snaps on Monday. The Love Island star, 25, flaunted her jaw-dropping figure in a colourful skimpy two-piece during her Bali getaway. Samie had a matching cover-up on her daybed while sunbathing and accessorised with stylish sunglasses. The influencer went make-up free for the Instagram pictures, which saw her sprawled out on all fours. It comes after the pair reunited just weeks after splitting, as they were seen attending Rehab's Rooftop Spa launch party. Last month, a source revealed the pair had ended their two-month romance after things 'fizzled out' between them. But in footage obtained by MailOnline, Sam and Samie could be seen chatting at the bash alongside his former Made In Chelsea co-star Lucy Watson in London's Shoreditch House, hinting the pair's romance could be back on. The pair joined a slew of stars, including Stacey Solomon and Mel C, at the party, which celebrated the release of the REHAB Retreat Range, their first body care collection. A source revealed: 'Sam was in good spirits as he caught up with Samie at the rehab event. They were queuing for drinks and they were chatting away. 'He gently stroked her arm to make sure she had a drink and the pair were laughing away with Lucy Watson and her partner. 'Samie was never far away from Sam during the party where Mel C performed an incredible set and everyone was dancing. 'Sam and Samie chatted away to other guests but kept making their way back to one another before eventually leaving at the same time.' Just hours before attending the party, Samie revealed on Snapchat she was heading to the event before jetting to Bali for a girls trip the following day. Sam, 32, started dating Samie famed for her appearances on Love Island, in April and the couple were later spotted passionately kissing after attending Olivia Attwood 's birthday party. It was Sam's first public relationship since his separation from girlfriend of five years Zara McDermott, 28, who is now with former One Direction singer, Louis Tomlinson . A source confirmed that the pair decided against taking their romance any further due to their busy work schedules, which in recent weeks has seen Sam raise over £1.6million for charity UNICEF after he conquered a 260-mile endurance challenge. The former I'm A Celeb winner said taking part in the mammoth task, where he transported the Soccer Aid match ball from London's Stamford Bridge to Old Trafford in Manchester, gave him the focus he needed to overcome a difficult start to 2025. Meanwhile, Samie, who Sam had introduced to close friend and Staying Relevant co-host Pete Wicks , has been jet setting with various brands following her stint on Love Island: All Stars earlier this year, including to Mykonos, Greece , with Space NK. A source told MailOnline: 'Sam and Samie's romance just fizzled out, there was so much attraction between them initially, but their busy schedules made it difficult for them to spend quality time together. 'For Sam, it was his first relationship since his split from Zara and the feeling is he would rather concentrate on work before getting into another long-term commitment.' Last week, Sam admitted that he is 'not ready' to date again, telling pal Pete on his podcast Staying Relevant : 'Louise thinks I should go out with Emma Watson , who plays Hermione Granger in Harry Potter '. Laughing, Pete replied: 'I think you have more chance with the ginger fella'. 'Ron! No, Louise thinks I should go for British thespian because she thinks its a little different, classy is the wrong word, but well to do', Sam added. Pete joked: 'Opposites attract, she wants you to go out with someone opposite to even you out.' Confirming he won't be dating for a while, Sam bluntly confirmed: 'No, I'm going to work on myself. No dating, I'm not ready and I've realised that'. MailOnline revealed Sam and Zara split following five years together on New Year's Day after the couple spent the festive season apart. Zara had grown especially close to her ex-boyfriend's family given Louise, her fiancé Ryan and son Leo, three, live next door to Sam in west London. The former Love Island star turned documentary maker was first spotted with singer Louis in March and the couple have since holidayed together in Los Angeles and Costa Rica. Sam and Louis both played in this month's Soccer Aid despite obvious tensions around their dating lives. Footage of Louis appearing to snub Sam circulated on TikTok after the former boy band star grimaced and ignored the Chelsea favourite once the match had ended. After achieving his UNICEF challenge, Sam reflected: 'I have never been so low but also so high at the same time... One of the things that I will say is that mentally I don't think there was a better time for me to do that. 'On Thursday, I left a lot on that road, I left a lot there and it was one of the most mentally freeing times I've ever had in my entire life. 'We rode and ran for the longest duration, all the way down the Welsh border and we finished in Liverpool, you know I'm a bit of a talker, but it was so hard, you just had to channel something. 'I left a lot of the year that I've had on that road, and I didn't speak for an hour and a half. I was riding the bike while crying for an hour and a half just tears streaming down my face just riding like I have never ridden before. 'I have never felt so emotionally depleted but also at peace.'

BBC boss breaks silence on MasterChef's future after Gregg Wallace saga & John Torode asked to QUIT over ‘racist remark'
TIM Davies has broken his silence on MasterChef's future after a bombshell report into Gregg Wallace's inappropriate behaviour and John Torode's alleged racist remark. The investigation, which upheld 45 of 83 allegations against Wallace, 60, dropped yesterday. The dossier also upheld a complaint that an unnamed person used a racial phrase once several years ago. Torode confirmed to The Sun last night it referred to him, but said: 'I have absolutely no recollection of this, and I do not believe that it happened.' Speaking about whether MasterChef has a future, Tim Davies said today: "I absolutely think it does, I think a great programme that's loved by audiences is much bigger than individuals. "It absolutely can survive and prosper, but we've got to make sure we're in the right place in terms of the culture of the show." The BBC Director General was also asked about whether John Torode would remain on the show. "There has to be follow-up, so the BBC, in some ways, we're quite simple on this, if someone is found to not live up to the values we expect, the independent company, Banijay, in this case, to take action and report back to us on what they have done," he said. "These aren't BBC employees, but we absolutely expect action to be taken, that's the first thing I'd say." His statement comes in light of the BBC Annual Report which was published today. The scandal-hit BBC boss has been given a sizeable pay rise to earn £544,999 a year. The broadcaster's annual report revealed the Director-General's pay packet swelled by around £15,000 or 2.5% over the past 12 months - despite controversies including those involving Wallace, Bob Vylan and a Hamas documentary. Masterchef meltdown as BBC asked John Torode to RESIGN over 'racist remark' before Gregg Wallace sacking The Beeb is required to publish the pay and expenses for all senior leaders earning over £178,000 annually "in the BBC 's public services", according to its report. Davie - who took up his current role in 2020 - was paid an estimated £529,999 in salary and taxable benefits in 2023-24. He insisted today: "I simply think I'm in a place where I can work to improve dramatically the BBC and lead it in the right way." He added: "We will make mistakes, but I think as a leadership and myself, I've been very clear, and I think we have been decisive. "There's enormous, massive noise and different opinions about what we should do, but I think we have been clear. "We are making the right decisions. We're being transparent on what we do, and I think that's what counts. "I would also say that under my tenure I've set a very clear stall out in terms of impartiality." Asked by The Sun why Davie had received a £15,000 bonus despite significant failures throughout the year, BBC's chair of the board Dr Samir Shah said: "His pay has been frozen since 2021 and I think that it is reasonable. "There is little doubt that Tim's pay is significantly under [the going rate]. "If you look at the figures, trust levels have gone up - if you look at the report, the actual performance of the BBC has been exceptional." He added: "I have no problems with awarding him with what is a very small bonus - which still ends up [with] his salary being significantly lower than any of his peers in the sector." It comes as departing Match of the Day host Gary Lineker ended his time with the Corporation by topping its pay league for the eighth consecutive year, raking in £1.35million. He ranked the top highest earner, closely followed by presenter Zoe Ball who takes home an eye-watering £515,000 a year. Alan Shearer, Greg James and Fiona Bruce were all in the top three earners. is your go-to destination for the best celebrity news, real-life stories, jaw-dropping pictures and must-see video. Gary Lineker named BBC's highest earner for the final time
Former Match Of The Day presenter Gary Lineker has topped the list of the BBC's highest-earning on-air talent for the eighth consecutive year and the final time. The 64-year-old, who left the BBC early at the end of the last Premier League season in May, was reported to have earned between £1,350,000 and £1,354,999 in the corporation's latest annual report for 2024/2025, for his work on Match Of The Day and coverage of European football. Radio presenter Zoe Ball was the second highest-paid, earning between £515,000 and £519,999, for her work on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show, which she left on December 20 last year. Ball has since returned to a new Saturday afternoon show on the station, which she began hosting in May 2025. Match Of The Day pundit Alan Shearer was the third-highest earner with a salary of between £440,000 and £444,999. The former Newcastle United striker will continue to analyse football on the BBC in the new season with Match Of The Day's incoming presenters Kelly Cates, Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan. His pay also covered work on the BBC's coverage of European football competitions, such as the Uefa Champions League. BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show presenter Greg James came fourth on the list, earning between £425,000 and £429,999, for work which also included his Radio 4 show Rewinder, while Fiona Bruce and Nick Robinson were the joint fifth-highest earners, with both earning between £410,000 and £414,999. Bruce's pay covered her work on Question Time and other presenting work on BBC One and coverage of the UK general election, while Robinson's included his presenting work, Political Thinking and Today podcasts, and his work covering the UK general election. The publication of salaries comes after former England striker Lineker left his presenting role earlier than planned following a social media row after he shared a post about Zionism which featured a depiction of a rat, historically an antisemitic insult. Lineker issued an unreserved apology for the incident, and will no longer front the BBC's coverage of the 2026 World Cup or the FA Cup next season. The rest of the top 10 was made up of BBC Radio 5 Live presenter Stephen Nolan, who earned between £405,000 and £409,999, TV presenter Laura Kuenssberg, who earned between £395,000 and £399,999, BBC Radio 2 presenter Vernon Kay, who earned between £390,000 and £394,999, and journalist Justin Webb, who earned between £365,000 and £369,999. The annual report and salary reveal comes as the BBC has made headlines over its coverage of the Glastonbury Festival, the Gaza: How To Survive A Warzone documentary, and a report into Gregg Wallace's behaviour on MasterChef. On Monday, Wallace's MasterChef co-host John Torode confirmed he had a standalone allegation of racist language upheld in the same report.
