Love Island: Everything To Know About Casa Amor's Cach
As Love Island's go, season 12 has already been pretty explosive. We've seen backstabbing, fights, new twists, and of course, plenty of romance - and we're only halfway through the series.
With the infamous Casa Amor just around the corner, the tension is only set to rise even higher. In case you need reminding, the twist sees existing couples forced apart, with each partner being tested by new arrivals in Casa Amor and the main villa.
One fresh face ready to shake things up in Casa Amor is Cach, who has already got everyone talking despite having only just stepped foot in the villa. You might even recognise him from a previous dating show...
Cach, whose real name is Cacherel Mirjah Mercer, is one of the boys joining Love Island for Casa Amor alongside Boris, Ty, Jamie, Martin and Chris. Cach lives in East London, and works as a professional dancer.
When it comes to dynamics in the villa, Cach has admitted he isn't afraid to rock the boat - making him a perfect contestant for the ultimate Casa Amor test. 'None of them were together to begin with. No one is boyfriend and girlfriend, they're all saying they're open,' he said, adding he has his eye on Shakira, Billykiss and Emily.
And as for his type, he's admitted it's 'Someone who's emotionally intelligent, beautiful, charismatic, caring, affectionate, and I'd say an intro extrovert.'
From what he's said, it sounds like Cach has his eyes on the prize - but is adamant he will maintain his values throughout the process.
In a pre-show chat with ITV, he confessed: 'I think I'm gonna get into trouble, I feel like I'll be the joker of the group!' adding I'll also be the person people come to for advice... and a bit of eye candy at the same time. People expect me to be a bit of a menace when it comes to dating, but if you get to know me and my values I'm the complete opposite, I'm a modern day Romeo!'
You might recognise Cach from his appearance an another dating show called Are You The One? UK which aired back in 2022 on MTV. He was 20 at the time he appeared on the show, and went by his real name, Cacharel.
The show followed a group of singletons as they are put together in a house to find a match which has been chosen for by science. And there's a £200,000 prize fund up for grabs if they are correctly paired up when the series comes to an end.
