A hidden fly trap that can zap all the creepy crawlies lurking in your home without ruining your perfectly curated home aesthetics. You can plug this into an outlet, and the tiny light will lure in those pesky pests by the dozen.
A Nex Playground — you don't have to actually exit the home to make sure your kids are burning all the energy they need to. This console (which is fully controlled by motion play rather than a remote) is toddler-friendly and comes with five super fun starter games, with more than 20+ games in the library available if you get their Play Pass. The Nex is great at tracking, no matter how tiny the player is, and has so many fun AND educational games!
A set of breathable, seamless thongs if you're the type of person who "never wears thongs" or "hates thongs." These are incredibly comfortable to wear all day, and they've even been compared to $$$ brands like Skims and Victoria's Secret. Finally, a thong you won't feel the need to dig out or readjust every five seconds or so.
A mason jar cold brew maker that will save you some money in the long haul when you start cutting down on those early morning Dunkin runs. Say goodbye to the days of being late to work while stuck in a ridiculously long drive-thru line; your perfect cup can be made right at home — no heavy machinery or electricity required.
A stackable oval gem ring beautiful enough to use as a pseudo wedding ring when you go traveling — because if you lose this, you won't be crying into your piña colada, as this gorgeous piece costs less than your fancy lil' cocktail. "Best 10 Bucks I Ever Spent": 23 Phenomenal Things From Amazon's "Internet Famous" List Reviewers Wish They Could Give More Than 5 Stars
We hope you love our recommendations! Some may have been sent as samples, but all were independently selected by our editors. Just FYI, BuzzFeed and its publishing partners may collect a share of sales and/or other compensation from the links on this page. Shopping · "I can't believe this $6 product is better than the Nars, Bobbi Brown, and Charlotte Tilbury products that I have tried." —one *very* impressed reviewer after discovering this under-eye brightener Fun fact: Amazon has an "Internet Famous" section curated with TikTok-viral products. Here are a few of the current ones so beloved by reviewers that they are *definitely* worth the hype: 1. A sling backpack that checks all the boxes for style, functionality, and convenience. It's surprisingly spacious and has all the pockets you could dream of, and two of them are big enough for full-size water bottles. It's perfect for bringing along while traveling, hiking, and visiting theme parks. (BTW, reviewers say this fits perfectly inside lockers.) Promising review: "I would give this sling 10 stars if possible! Been searching and searching for a sling that will stay on my shoulder (a huge feat), is comfortable, phone easily accessible, has organization, is not too small or huge, holds water bottle, constructed with premium fabric yet looks professional rather than like I'm ready for a day in the woods. This is it!! An awesome bag! Can be worn as a sling over the shoulder or as a crossbody. Perfection." — Amazon Customer 2. A nifty gadget called the Bug Bite Thing because the mosquitoes are out and making their presence very known. This suction tool is designed to extract the insect saliva or venom left under the skin when you're bitten or stung and provide relief from itching. See it in action on TikTok! Promising review:" Best 10 bucks I ever spent! Oh my god, where has this simple, effective, ingenious device been all my life, and why hadn't I ever heard of it before? My 7-year-old got a bumble bee sting (yes, they DO sting and it HURTS). A few days later, I got stung by one. Then my 3-year-old got stung by one. Upon using this, it immediately stopped itching. I'd give this product a million stars!" — Me 3. An adorable pool floaty designed for your little future Olympic gold medalist so that they can learn proper swimming posture. It has four adjustable layers you can add or remove as needed to customize the float assistance and get the perfect buoyancy for your kiddo's swimming level. It's suitable for ages 3–12 years old, and they must weigh over 20 pounds. Promising review:"I've given other products 5 stars before, and if I could, I would give this one 10! My daughter is four now and always wearing a life vest, but I knew that she was ready to swim. I came across this while looking to upgrade her life fast and thought that, with the price being so reasonable, I would give it a shot. I could not be happier with the experience! She really wears the thing out too, using it three to five times a week and jumping in the water. It's so much better than a life vest because it goes with their natural buoyancy rather than encouraging complete dependence. If you're thinking about getting this, don't debate any longer — go for it, you won't regret it!" — ToddlersMom 4. A three-pack of vintage-inspired polarized sunglasses because you've been guilty of misplacing, sitting on, or stretching out your other shades by wearing them like a headband a few too many times. And let's be real — doing all that to a $200 pair of Ray-Bans just isn't it. Promising reviews:"I've been buying these for years. They replaced my Ray-Bans that look identical! Fit great and with the price point, I don't have to worry too much with my kids and being on the go!" — Jessica M "I wish I could give them 10 stars. So cute, made well, packing was perfect and came w accessories" — Chassie Price: $18.99 (available in 12 sets of three, as well as two-packs and individual pairs) 5. A heavy-duty Shark vacuum with a detachable canister so you can move freely from room to room, reaching tricky areas like stairs, blinds, and even those ceiling cobwebs! It boasts *impressive* suction that can easily transition from carpet and hardwood to tile and linoleum, with a built-in HEPA filter to lock in dust and allergens. Its two attachments — a wide upholstery tool and a narrow crevice one — can efficiently suck up debris before you fall victim to goldfish crumbs between your toes (a sensory nightmare). To give context for the photo on the right: The reviewer first cleaned their living room with a Bissell, then followed up with the Shark. You can see how much more dirt and hair the Shark picked up that the Bissell left behind. Promising review:"Holy mother of god, this vacuum is incredible. It sucked up so much dust and dirt from my carpet, it feels like a brand-new carpet and as if I've never vacuumed my floors before. 1 0/5 stars, would HIGHLY recommend this vacuum. A random video on Facebook of this vacuum sucking up glitter and various bits and sizes of confetti convinced me to buy this." — Maria Yuhas 6. A cruelty-free Catrice "Instant Awake" Under Eye Brightener making waves for its ability to hide and brighten dark circles. Your old concealers might start to feel a bit jealous of this one's color-adapting formula, lightweight feel, and seamless blending. To use, apply this in thin layers to avoid creasing, then follow with your favorite concealer and setting powder if you like. If you don't like applying products with your fingers, they also make a triangle-shaped puff that's perfect for using with this. Promising reviews: "I would give this product 10 stars if I could!!! This stuff has me in complete AWE!! It is a game changer, light, easy to apply with your fingertips, and looks AWESOME alone or paired with your favorite powder foundation! I'm going to be purchasing more and hopefully this product will be around a long time!!" — Cattipillar08 "I can't believe this $6 product is better than the Nars, Bobbi Brown, and Charlotte Tilbury products that I have tried. I didn't even set it, and it lasted all day in the 100-degree Arizona heat yesterday! I also have very sensitive skin, and this did not cause any reactions." — Charlene B. Psst — these are also available with matching setting powders for a more matte look! 7. A pair of scrunch workout shorts the gym girlies are saying is a copy of the often sold-out Dfyne leggings — and at almost half the price. Reviewers describe the fabric as thick, stretchy, and squat-proof, with the right amount of compression. Take this as a warning, though: You'll have to pick your jaw up off the floor after seeing how good it makes your bum look. Promising reviews:"Dfyne is always sold out, so I decided to try these. I put them side by side with my Dfyne shorts, and they're the exact same quality, just no brand names." — Anon "There are a lot of workout bottoms for sale. These are popular for a reason. The high waistband gives reassurance as you move through your workouts. I may experience slight roll down if I'm doing a lot, but it's nothing like what I've experienced in other shorts/workout pants that were horrendous with roll down. I wash mine in my washer/dryer regularly, and I'm not encountering any issues. I'm comfortable wearing these as everyday shorts, I like the longer cut on the legs instead of being cut too close to the booty. 100/10 would recommend." — haley 8. A power scrubber brush, which attaches to your drill to do all the hard scrubbing for you, saving your elbow grease for something else — like popping open a bottle of wine after a long day's work of cleaning. Useful Products is a US-based small business established in 2007 by car wash owner, electrician, and former bodybuilder Anthony LaPolla that specializes in drill-cleaning brushes and attachments. Note: Each color of the Drill Brush attachment corresponds to the type of bristles they have, and each one is best suited for a specific type of cleaning job (for example, the yellow brush has medium bristles, best used for bathroom cleaning — bathtubs, showers, tile, and porcelain). Be sure to check the listing for which color is best for your intended purpose before buying! Promising review:"Watch out sliced bread, there's a new unit of measurement in town. I used the larger diameter flat brush for 90% of the shower. Glass, tiles, floor, I drilled it all. I used the toilet brush-shaped head for corners and the slopes, and the smallest brush for hard-to-reach spots. There were spots of mold my wife and I tried to scrub in the tiles grout that we could never get out. After subjecting the mold to the unbridled power of my drill and these brushes, it went running and screaming to the drain. After ceasing my maniacal laughter, I stopped to marvel at the fact that something we've scrubbed with hand brushes for hours, literally, was clean in a matter of seconds. Since I cannot rate items 100+ stars on Amazon's limited rating service, I was forced to give this product a mere 5-star review." — Daniel Rose 9. A mess-free, reusable Bluey aqua art pad, aka the ultimate lifesaver for parents (or fun aunts and uncles) to keep little ones entertained without the mess while on road trips, in waiting rooms, or even just a chill afternoon at home. Just fill the provided brush pen with water and let them go to town! The set comes with one spiral-bound pad with four aqua art sheets, four story sheets, and the water brush pen. Promising review: "The best invention ever. If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would. These are the best coloring books ever. You just add water to the pen and they can color away! They're reusable and don't make a mess, so you can use them at home, in the car, without tight supervision. I can just give my daughter the coloring book and not worry that my whole house will be covered in crayon or marker. And the best part is that it fades and she can do it again and again!" — michelle kelly 10. A Bissell multipurpose portable cleaner because this little wizard is capable of handling all the messes life throws at you, from the spilled coffee stain on your car seat to the mark your potty-training pup left on your new rug. It's portable and has a large tank, which = more cleans in between refills. It's like watching a spell unfold, turning that mess into a memory. Each cleaner comes with a trial size of Bissell's Spot & Stain Formula, which is also available on Amazon for $12.99! Check out a TikTok of the Bissell cleaner in action. Promising reviews:" Wish I'd bought this years ago. Best thing for cat puke. It's really that simple. Use a good shampoo additive, and ta-da! Like magic. Works so much better than any other method. Seriously." — Charlee L. "This machine is amazing. Easy to fill the solution, clean with and clean out after. I would give it more time than 5 stars if I could!" — Jacqueline 11. A Revlon one-step hair dryer and volumizer (with nearly 400,000 5-star ratings!!!) allowing you to dry and style your hair in one fell swoop, which means you can hit snooze a few more times in the morning and still come out looking like you just stepped out of the salon. Unlike other hair dryers, this one can be held closer to the roots and scalp for a higher volume and lift and helps you curl hair at the end while it dries. It comes with three heat settings and is designed to work on all hair textures — reviewers with 2a–4c hair mentioned it working for them. Promising review: "I always read the reviews before I buy them. If I could give this product 1,000 stars, I would. Just buy it and see the difference to your hair. I have thick, wavy, shoulder-length hair. This hair dryer got my hair really salon-perfect. It cuts hair-blowing time in half and leaves my hair frizz-free, silky, and soft. Love this product soooo much that I threw out my blow-dryer and brushes. I now only use the Revlon!!!!!!!!"— Antonella M. 12. A fast-paced game of Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza that'll have everyone laughing all day long, no matter what age. It's pretty straightforward to learn, and you're able to pack it up and play it anywhere. It's perfect for family fun *or* a new addition to drunk game night — but don't be fooled by the cute design; reviewers call it "mind-bending" for a reason! Amazon It's recommended for ages 8 and up! Here's how to play: You deal all the cards out to your two to four players, and everyone keeps their mini deck face down. Everyone takes a turn putting a card down in the middle of the table, saying one of the words "taco," "cat," "goat," "cheese," and "pizza," in that order. If the picture on your card matches the word that's said, everyone slaps their hand on the card in a pile as quickly as possible. The last person on the pile has to take the stack and add them to their cards, and whoever runs out of cards first wins! BTW, Dolphin Hat Games is a small business that specializes in family-friendly card games! Promising review:" So much fun — I wish I could give it more stars! I have had such fun playing this with my 6- and 8-year-old grandchildren! It is easy to learn, but so much fun. Even better, it is a game you can fit in when you don't have a ton of time (it can be played quickly, unlike Monopoly, haha...). Quick-moving and hilarious — you won't be sorry you made this purchase!" — MiniDiana 13. A bottle of multi-use Bio-Oil ready to tackle whatever you throw at when you're channeling your inner Gordon Ramsay and have a mishap that leaves a souvenir scar, or your skin decides to go full desert mode, leaving you wondering when you moved to the Sahara. It's loaded with the good stuff (vitamin E, chamomile, a hint of lavender oil) to improve the appearance of scars and marks and hydrate your skin. Promising review:"If I could give this 10 stars, I would. Last year I broke both arms and had surgery on a few things, which left me with nasty scars. :( As soon as casts and bandages were all gone, I immediately started using this oil. I don't use very much, just a couple of small drops, but oh man, can I see a difference. I will always have the scars; nothing I can do to take those away, but this oil has changed the color of the skin on and around my scar to its natural color. Like I said, I don't use much at all — I purchased it a year ago and still have over half the bottle left." — Sara 14. The fan-fave Nyx makeup setting spray that every makeup enthusiast should have in their arsenal. A few spritzes of this miracle elixir will lock your makeup in place, preventing it from smudging, melting, or fading away. It's perfect for those days when your foundation seems to have a mind of its own. This personal makeup assistant comes in three different finishes — matte, dewy, and plump. Fun fact: The reviewer in the second photo said they worked a 12-hour shift bartending and thanks to this setting spray, their makeup still looked fabulous. Promising reviews: "If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Makes my makeup last all night!" — Jillian "Amazing makeup setting spray. I was very skeptical at first because it looked too good to be true for the price, but this little bottle works like magic. I apply my makeup early in the morning, and it lasts the whole day without melting down. Even in the warmest days, my face is never shiny or oiled, and I tend to sweat a lot on my face. I have very sensitive skin and suffer from rosacea, and this product does not irritate my skin. I'm sold. Already bought a second one for my makeup bag." – Feisty Shopper 15. A clear stadium bag perfectly sized to fit all your essentials: your phone, ID, credit cards, a small bottle of sunblock, and even a mini fan to keep you cool when you're dancing your heart out at all those upcoming music festivals. Promising review:"Bought for concerts and festivals — holds everything needed and then some! Nice thick and flexible clear plastic with very strong stitching and a very comfortable adjustable strap! I went to a festival, and there were some massive torrential downpours that sprung up. I was pretty well soaked to the skin. NOTHING inside the bag got wet at all! Not in the outside pocket nor in the main bag compartment! Absolutely giving this bag 5 stars, and would give it 10 if I could!" — Leeta Nor 16. Kitsch's overnight heatless curls set capable of creating dreamy curls while you catch some z's. Imagine going to bed with your hair wrapped up in a super soft rod, only to wake up with curls that are nothing short of fabulous. And here's the kicker: It's all done without an ounce of heat. This product is designed for use on all hair types! Promising review:"I had low expectations for this product to work because curls from a curling iron fall out of my hair pretty immediately. I was blown away by how well these heatless curls turned out, though! It's easy enough to do, but there's a bit of a learning curve to getting the curls tightly wrapped. It takes less than 10 minutes, and my hair is ready to go when I wake up. I'm a side sleeper and find it a tad uncomfortable to sleep on, but it's a small price to pay for curls that last all day, in my opinion. I'd give this 10 stars if I could — truly a game changer that's made my mornings so much easier." — Stephanie 17. Levi's Cinch Baggy Jeans to solve the age-old problem with denim shopping: that ANNOYING waist gap. These have a built-in cinch band, letting you bring in the waist for a customized fit that feels tailored just for you. And they offer just the right amount of stretch, moving with you so you can enjoy both style and comfort without feeling restricted. Promising reviews: "If I could give them 1,000 stars, I would! I have been on the hunt for jeans for so long, and I finally found them." — Zoë Van den Berg "This is one of my favorite pairs of jeans. I have been looking for something in this fit for some time now. I am usually a 32 and quite curvy, which causes waist gaps in most jeans. So I ordered the 32 and 33. They both fit quite well. I went with the 33 because it's longer and more roomy around my hips, and gives me the baggy fit I wanted. The cinch waist allowed me to tighten the waist. It really is perfect, and I just ordered this in another color." — Peace 18. E.l.f.'s Halo Glow Liquid Filter that not only serves as a radiant, blurring primer but also mixes seamlessly with your moisturizer or foundation for that "I woke up like this" glow. And for those days you're feeling extra, a little dab on top of your makeup makes for the most natural-looking highlight. But wait, there's more! It's packed with hyaluronic acid and squalane, which means your skin gets a delicious drink of hydration every time you wear it. Promising reviews: "With this, I can just skip the primer and even the moisturizer (but I still try to at least get some sunscreen in there, which we all know is very important), which saves me a ton of time and also allows me to be able to go out to run errands, etc. without worrying about my makeup/skin/how I look! And for such an affordable price, it's a very rare value!! Believe me, please, when I say that this product is true 'magic-in-a-bottle' that smashes all those other similar products to bits!" — Tami "100 stars!! Perfect as a base for your foundation if you're going for the glass skin look. Leaves a dewy finish and feels great." — Shelly Melanson (Magner) 19. A bottle of Paula's Choice salicylic acid liquid exfoliant useful for clearing out pores and evening your skin's texture and tone. It's gentle enough to use daily, unlike those other gritty face scrubs that feel like you're sandblasting your skin. Promising review: "12 out of 10 stars. Wow, just wow! I waited two weeks to post, and my skin has totally transformed in those two weeks. My dark spots are nearly gone, pores are definitely less visible, and my skin just feels so clean and clear. I notice a huge difference when applying makeup now. I use it with a toner, and I use it only at night, just because I'm not great at applying SPF during the day. This will definitely be a part of my skincare routine now." — Lauren 20. Kinetic Sand, a delightful sensory toy that brings the beach right to your fingertips, minus the sunburn and sand in weird places. Color Wow's "Raise The Root" thickening and lifting spray so you can get (and keep) instant volume and body-ody-ody during these humid summer days. It works by acting like a spring at the roots of each strand, giving your mane that extra oomph without weighing it down. For that va-va-voom look, simply spray this product onto your damp *or* dry locks, focusing on the roots. Style your hair as you wish, and lock in the volume by using a blow-dryer for results that last all day. Promising review: "If I could give this product 10 stars, I would! I have a cowlick at the crown of my head that I struggle with daily. Saw this product and bought the small one to give it a try. Oh my gosh, it works!!!' Even the next morning (which, after sleeping, is at its worst), and it was still covered, I was shocked. Now I wish I had bought the bigger bottle. Truly the best product for this reason I've ever used, and I'm a hairdresser, and I've tried many, many products. Highly recommend." — Jillian Feltz 22. A handy tri-fold mirror that hangs right on your bathroom door, giving you a 360-degree view of your gorgeous self while you snip those split ends, touch up your roots, or braid your hair. Promising reviews:"The mirror is very easy to set up and perfect for its price! It's portable, nice, and of good quality. 100/10." — Oracio Lopez "This has helped me so much to do my root touch-ups and toning at home. I can see better the sides and back of my head. The size is perfect, and the height is adjustable. It's folds conveniently into a thin mirror, making it easy for me to store in my small bathroom cabinet." — Jenny G 23. A jar of 40% urea cream if the skin on your feet is A) thick, B) rough, C) cracked, or all of the above. This cream helps slough away corns, calluses, and dry patches while bringing your ~sole~ back to life with some much-needed rehydration. You can use it on feet, elbows, knees, and hands. It's made from natural ingredients such as aloe vera, safflower oil, chamomile, and tea tree oil. Promising review:"First off, I NEVER write reviews. But this is such a miracle product, I had to say something. I have had the hardest, driest feet with major cracking for almost my whole life (nearly 50 years!). I have tried numerous products. I pretty much had given up. But then my neighbor recommended this cream. I was skeptical at first, but after using it for about a month, I could not believe the change! My feet are SO MUCH BETTER! Not the hard, cracking feet anymore! Even my nail tech shakes his head in disbelief every time he sees my feet. He just can't believe it! He now recommends this to his clients! I use it 5-7 nights a week. Put the cream on the feet, put on some socks, and leave it all night while I sleep. I cannot stress how big of a miracle this stuff is!! I am still in shock at how good it is! I wish I had before pictures, but it was REALLY BAD!! Not anymore!!!! I would have given this 10 stars if I could!" — Shari Curley

The Oura Ring 4 Fixed My Sleep. Here's My Honest Review in 2025.
I love my Oura ring. Ask any of my friends and they'll tell you that it's become one of my main personality traits over the past year and a half, that if I had a cartoon character, she would have a gold ring on her pointer finger. I'm never seen without it (if I am, get ready to hear a panicked 'Wait… did I lose my Oura ring?' in three… two… one…) and the minimal weight slips below the level of consciousness so it's basically a part of me. In the time since I last updated my 2023 review of the Gen 3 Oura ring, the company released a brand new iteration, the Oura 4. Checks out, as they've historically released a new version every three years. And because of the aforementioned making-it-my-whole-personality thing, I knew I had to do a full test of the new version. After wearing it for six months, I'm ready to give you my full, in-depth, scientifically-proven (okay, I'm not a scientist, but there's lots of ~health data~) review—it's broken down into sections that are easy to scroll through in case you're looking for something specific, with tons of pics and anecdotes about what I loved and didn't love. Note: If you want a more in-depth walkthrough of how I picked out my ring and set it up, you can read the full breakdown in our Oura 3 review here. The fit metrics and process of ordering a size kit are both still the same, just make sure you're specifically ordering the Oura 4 size kit—either on their website or on Amazon! So, the Oura Ring is a health tracker. But what does it actually track? 'The Oura Ring boasts temperature sensors, a suite of LED lights to measure heart rate and blood oxygen, and an activity accelerometer to provide you with accurate insights to support your overall health,' says Jason Russell, Oura's Senior Director of Product. Once data is collected via the sensors, you're given three scores each day to help you interpret your stats at a glance: your Sleep Score, your Readiness Score, and your Activity Score. It's a number out of 100 that grades your sleep, your movement, and how prepared your body is to take on the day based on tons of data points from REM and deep sleep to heart rate variability and your body temperature while you're asleep. You also get a stress rating and resilience rating, and you can opt into Cycle Tracking as well. While the basic concept and experience you know and love is still the same, there are a handful of useful new features that the Oura team rolled out with the fourth-generation ring. And pssst: While the new hardware features are unique to the 4, the software and app updates will be available for anyone with any version of the Oura Ring! First up: Major redesign! The app used to have a fixed design but now, you'll see different stats and scores highlighted depending on what time of day you open up your app. Whatever is most helpful or notable will float up to the top throughout the day, whether it's an exceptional sleep score or an elevated body temperature. Huge news for anyone who doesn't want to get into the weeds of HRV charts and just wants to be given the most important highlights! Visually, the bumpy domes on the inside of the Gen 3 have been removed and replaced with flat sensors for a more comfortable wearing experience. This new ring also has smart sensing and increased accuracy, which didn't pick up on any life changing new data so it wasn't a huge, measurable impact on my life, but someone who tracks their heart rate or body temperature more closely will appreciate this. I also find that the battery lasts a lot longer, allowing me to go several days without charging rather than having to juice it up every other day. I was a perfect size 6 in the Gen 3, so I ordered the size 6 in the Gen 4, but that ended up being so loose that I was experiencing gaps in my data. I exchanged it for a size 5, which I wore on a smaller finger. A word to the wise: Because the Oura 4 has flat sensors on the inside instead of the Oura 3's raised sensors, it's going to be slightly looser even if you get the same size you had before. Don't assume you'll be the same size in the newer Gen 4! To avoid this, order a sizing kit beforehand. And if you have an older Oura ring that you're upgrading, transferring your data over is incredibly easy—just click on the battery signal in the top right corner of your app, hit 'Set up a new ring,' and follow the tutorial (it took me 30 seconds…max). The Oura Ring 4 will cost $349 for Silver or Black, $399 or Brushed Silver or Stealth, or $499 for Gold or Rose Gold. In addition to that, there's a $5.99 monthly subscription cost to use the app that displays and interprets all of your data. Would I say that's cheap? No. But the monthly subscription cost barely makes a dent compared to other health apps (WHOOP costs hundreds per year) so you're really just making a one time investment that you'll be able to wear for a couple years. I'm not proud of it, but I used to check Instagram and TikTok first thing in the morning. Like, as soon as I opened my eyes. I can't say I've fully kicked the phone habit, but I'm no longer going straight to brain rot the second I'm awake, because now I check my Oura app as soon as I wake up to get the full download on my sleep. When you wear the ring overnight, it collects data on when you fell asleep, what sleep stages you were in throughout the night, how your breathing, heart rate, and temperature changed through each phase, and how long you slept for. That's insanely valuable data, people, considering the fact that it's hard to monitor your own sleep while you're, well, asleep. Once you check your app in the morning, you'll receive a sleep score from 0-100 based on your numbers as well as whether your stats were higher, lower, or about on par with the usual. I found that I tended to average in the 80s, but it really depends on how stressed I am! Oh, and your Oura Ring will track naps, too. Whether it's an accidental 30 minute couch snooze or your attempt at falling asleep in your dinky economy seat that only lasts 15 minutes, your ring will pick up on that and adjust your daily sleep score accordingly. Ah, the elusive Readiness score. What does it actually mean to be ready? What is 75 points ready vs. 90 points ready? Do I have to cancel all of my plans if I wake up with a 56 as my readiness score?! All good questions. To put it simply, it's a rating of how ready your body is to take on the day based on how well you've been sleeping and how your resting heart rate has been trending recently. If you've been clocking under six hours a night with a heart rate that won't calm down (a symptom that usually correlates with drinking, by the way!) your readiness score might be lower than usual. This, paired with your Resilience level (which basically measures your current stress levels and how you're recovering from it), is a great indicator of how much your body is able to take on. But you don't have to be tied to it. Sometimes getting a great sweat in on a lower Readiness day helps me bounce back from it, whereas other times it's permission to skip that workout class and cancel your nighttime plans in order to get better recovery sleep. The Oura Ring is meant to make your life better—so think of a high Readiness score as an encouragement to try going the extra mile, and a low Readiness score as a reminder to be kind to yourself if things feel harder than usual. When I reviewed the Oura 3, the weakest point was probably the fact that the old software would think that certain activities (walking, emptying the dishwasher, going up the stairs) were other activities (boxing, swimming, sports). But I can confidently say that the activity tracking on the new ring and new software has improved. It correctly picked up on the fact that I was boxing, skiing, and kayaking without me needing to manually tag each activity, and it's nice to be able to see my route and cardio zones via the Oura app when I (very occasionally) go on a run through Central Park. In addition to activity detection and running features, the Oura Ring also tracks your steps and caloric expenditure, if you're into that kind of thing. I don't do a ton of cardio and I'm aware that as a New York City resident I clock plenty of steps per day, but it was nice to see the correlation between heavy activity days and how quickly I was able to fall asleep the following night. The Oura Ring may not be the most comprehensive training tracker on the market. It doesn't claim to be! It is, however, hands down the best middle-of-the-road option out there. It's chic, non-intimidating and accessible, it looks pretty on your hand, and it gives you comprehensive activity data with zero pressure to close activity rings (you know what I'm talking about) or stand up every 30 minutes. It's perfect for someone like me, who wants to remain active and have a general awareness of it—but not at the cost of my sanity or how cute my accessories are. I was confused about a lot of things during my teenage years, including my period, which was pretty high up on the blind-navigation list. Basically, it would come every 25-40 days, and it was a complete shock every time. But after learning how to track my cycle via body temperature over the past couple of years, I've gone from being like, 'My period is here AGAIN?!' to being like, 'Yeah I know I'm getting my period at some point today because my temperature dropped.' Confused? Basically, your body temperature typically sits below baseline during the follicular phase (the first part of the menstrual cycle), spikes right around ovulation, and then sits above baseline during the luteal phase (the part of the menstrual cycle right before you bleed) until the day of your period when your temperature drops noticeably. The Oura Ring 4 takes your temperature every day and charts it so you can keep track of where you're at in your monthly cycle, which is, uh, SO much better than going into it blindly and then being stuck without a tampon in a public restroom while wearing white jeans. Just me? This temperature data can also be used to estimate fertile days if you're trying to conceive or trying to avoid getting pregnant without being on hormonal birth control. I didn't find Oura's in-app ovulation and period prediction dates to be super accurate, if I'm being honest, but you can sign up for the Natural Cycles app (an FDA-cleared form of non-hormonal birth control) which integrates seamlessly with the Oura app. I found the Natural Cycles predictions to be much more accurate and consistent, and it's $119.99 per year, which comes out to just $9.99 a month. The most important part of the entire review, if you ask me. I've tried so many different stacks, some out of necessity (because my ring is a little loose on certain fingers) and some for style purposes. My favorite compliment is 'Omg I didn't even notice you were wearing a health tracker, it blends right in with the rest of your jewelry!'. Here are some of the stacking rings I've invested in… The complimentary rings I reach for the most often are these two Pavoi bands that went semi-viral on TikTok for being under $20 each. Tons of people started wearing these bands above and below their Oura ring for a shockingly luxe look—and yes, I can confirm that it's a totally seamless stack. Alternatively, I love wearing my Oura ring with a solitaire crystal ring—my go-to is from Uno de 50 and currently sold out, but below are some alternatives as well as rings I tend to wear on other fingers! And lastly, I've found it really helpful to wear a thin chain around my neck for periods where I need to take my ring off but want to make sure I don't lose it, like when I'm getting a manicure or when I'm lifting weights and don't want the bar to scratch up the metal. Okay, that was a lot of information! After testing out the Oura Ring 4 for six months I can confidently say that I'm a huge fan and love the product even more than I did before, but if you're still trying to digest all of that before making your decision, let's break it down into a simple pros and cons list... Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has collided with Jeff Bezos and his new wife, Lauren Sanchez, at a star-studded party in Cannes, and the moment is now going viral.
