However, the PA news agency understands the Gunners are now exploring a move, with reports suggesting the England international prefers a switch to Mikel Arteta's side.
Their interest has accelerated after Havertz was forced off in Sunday's victory over Manchester United, although sources insist it is still too early to give a prognosis on the Germany international.
Eze, whose £68million release clause expired on Friday, played 84 minutes of the weekend draw at Chelsea and trained on Wednesday ahead of Palace's Conference League play-off at home to Fredrikstad, with head coach Oliver Glasner insisting he and captain Marc Guehi, a target for Liverpool, would start the European tie.
'Before Chelsea I think many of you were surprised that Marc and Ebs started and played almost the whole game,' he said.
'Most of you will be surprised that they will start again tomorrow because of all the rumours. But again, they are committed.'
Eze was released by Arsenal as a 13-year-old.

Now, Bhoys Celtic have issued a statement on the state of the club, pointing to reasons why many fans are increasingly discontent. The group wrote on Instagram: "On Wednesday night we joined thousands of Celtic fans throughout the stadium in chanting 'sack the board'. "This chant was not just about one poor result in a European qualifying campaign, although the last two decades have seen many of those – often due to a lack of timely investment to strengthen our playing squad, something many of our managers have called out during their time here. "While 'sacking' the board may not be a realistic demand, such chants are one of the few methods of airing discontent available to us due to the way our club operate." The group highlighted the board's "continuous incompetence" and disregard for fans' opinions, despite them spending thousands of pounds every season supporting the club. They argue there is little to no return on investment in the playing squad, the stadium, or the match day experience. The group pointed to several examples of this, including the recent season ticket price increase for the 2025-2026 season, which they say was justified by the club as necessary to cover the recent national minimum wage and national insurance increases for match day staff, despite the club having tens of millions of pounds in the bank. They also criticised the lack of investment in an ageing stadium, with no improvement to fans' match day experience over many years. Other issues raised include a lack of transparency around ticketing, a dysfunctional ticketing office, the fans survey with unreleased results, and the lack of meaningful engagement with active fan groups to improve match day atmosphere. The group said: "Wednesday night was just one poor result, but taken with the above issues, highlights our many grievances with the way the club is run. "While we may still win the tie and we may strengthen the squad this transfer window, the issues outlined above are just some of many which will not change without accountability and transparency from the Celtic board."
