"Filled With Joy": Devendra Fadnavis' Daughter Scores 92.6% In Class 10 Exam

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's daughter Divija secured 92.6 per cent in her Class 10 exams, his wife Amruta Fadnavis said.
In a post on X, she said. "Our minds are filled with joy. Our daughter Divija secured 92.60 per cent in Class X Board exams," she said.

Results for the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) exams for Classes 10 and 12 have been declared, chief executive Joseph Emmanuel said on Wednesday.
Girls outshone boys yet again in both exams. In Class 10 exams, the pass percentage of girls stood at 99.45, while that of boys was marginally lower at 98.64. In Class 12, girls' pass percentage was 99.45 against boys' pass percentage of 98.64.

State govt to join hands with 5 leading foreign universities for education city in Navi Mumbai
MUMBAI: The state government will present Letters of Intent (LOIs) to five leading foreign universities as part of the 'Mumbai Rising – Creating an International Education City' initiative. The official ceremony will take place at noon today at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai. The five universities invited to establish campuses in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai include the University of Aberdeen, the University of York, the University of Western Australia, the Illinois Institute of Technology, and the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED). Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be the chief guest at the event. Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, deputies Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, and higher and technical education minister Chandrakant Patil are also expected to attend. The initiative, led by the Government of Maharashtra with support from CIDCO, aims to develop an International Education City near the Navi Mumbai International Airport. The education hub, spanning a 5-km radius, will be the first of its kind in the country offering students access to high-quality international education within India. Officials said that the project could not only improve academic standards in India but also promote cultural exchange and collaboration between Indian and international students and faculty. 'The International Education City will help bring global education to our doorstep and create opportunities for students from across India,' a government official stated.

Max Aerospace to set up Rs 8,000cr helicopter manufacturing unit in Nagpur
Nagpur: The state govt signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with aircraft engineering and maintenance company — Max Aerospace & Aviation Private Limited — to establish in Nagpur what would be among the country's first private sector helicopter manufacturing units. The state govt hopes the project will give a major thrust to the defence manufacturing sector in Vidarbha. Currently, the public sector undertaking Hindustan Aeronautics Limited makes helicopters in the country. Airbus and Tatas also have plans to set up a unit in Karnataka. Max's MoU signed in the presence of CM Devendra Fadnavis and industries minister Uday Samant, comes soon after this. Talking to TOI, the CEO of Max Aerospace, Bharat Malkani, said the plan is to start building the plant by the middle of next year. The company is eyeing a collaboration with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across the world. Max is hopeful of striking a deal with an OEM soon, and an announcement will be made in the coming months, he said. Malkani stated the plan is to cater to both civil and defence sectors. Max is planning to make light and medium helicopters. In the defence sector, the idea is to serve the initially. There is a major need to cater to the Indian defence segment considering the strategic requirements of the country, he said. Max may need around 150 acres of land. Already in the maintenance business earlier, it planned to set up an aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) business in the Mihan-SEZ. However, the company withdrew after it found taxation rules concerning an SEZ not compatible with its business plans. Once the construction begins it hopes the plant would be ready in the next three-and-half years. Malkani said the company chose to venture into helicopter manufacturing after it felt that the country needs to have an established player in the segment. India is one of the largest aviation markets, but there is hardly any presence in the manufacturing side. "Max plans to take the initiative and hopes that in the coming decades, the scenario may undergo a major change," he says. As it ties up with a global market, various models will be tried. A part of the components will be of the company's own proprietary design, he said. The project will have a centre of excellence for rotary wing platform customisation, integration, and flight testing, as per a press release issued from the chief minister's office. Locating the facility near the airport will enable it to provide basic support and logistics easily. CM said the govt hopes the company will start operations within the stipulated time.

State, Mumbai-based firm sign MoU to set up helicopter manufacturing facility in Nagpur
Mumbai-based Max Aerospace and Aviation Pvt Ltd on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government to set up a helicopter manufacturing facility in Nagpur with an investment of Rs 8,000 crore over the next eight years. The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai. The plant is expected to generate approximately 2,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities and is set to begin operations by 2026. Speaking at the event, Fadnavis said the project aligns with the Centre's 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiatives and will position Nagpur as a key hub for aerospace manufacturing in the country. 'Max Aerospace choosing Nagpur for this project is a significant step. The state government is committed to providing all necessary support to ensure timely execution of the project,' he said. According to officials, the upcoming facility will focus on the customisation, integration, and flight testing of rotary-wing platforms. Fadnavis emphasised that the state has created favourable conditions for defence manufacturing in Nagpur and assured that all necessary cooperation will be provided to Max Aerospace. The MoU was signed between P. Anbalagan, Principal Secretary of the Department of Industries, and Bharat Malkani, chairperson of Max Aerospace. CEO of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) P Velarasu and other senior state officials were also present. 'This is Maharashtra's first dedicated facility for full-scale helicopter production. It will not only support India's defence manufacturing goals but also enhance the aerospace supply chain capabilities in the region,' said Malkani.
