Michigan football set for a key 2026 safety prospect visit on June 20 during Victors Weekend
The Wolverines have been steadily looking at prospects from two regions in the 2026 recruiting cycle: the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area and the South (primarily Georgia and Florida). The thing about the latter is that it tends to produce high-level prospects, even those who aren't the highest-rated, due to the density of top-tier high school players.
On June 20, Michigan football will hold its biggest recruiting weekend of the year, deemed 'Victors Weekend,' when the most-coveted recruits make their way to Ann Arbor in hopes that the maize and blue can close as many as possible. One prospect from the South is set to make his way to campus that weekend, highlighting just how much the Wolverines like his talent.
Blake Stewart top four, official visits
According to On3, 2026 Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy safety Blake Stewart has set four official visits, including Michigan football on June 20. but will also see Clemson on May 30, Vanderbilt on June 6, and Miami on June 13.
Stewart is listed highest on Rivals, which has him as a four-star at No. 148 overall. ESPN also has him listed as a four-star as do the two composite rankings from 247Sports and On3. However, both of the latter in their proprietary rankings, list Stewart as a three-star.
LaMar Morgan is the primary recruiter for the 6-foot, 175-pound safety. The Wolverines had a solid haul last cycle bringing in three four-stars at the position in Kainoa Winston, Elijah Dotson, and Jordan Young.

Former Texas A&M wide receiver is facing a season-ending injury
Former Texas A&M wide receiver is facing a season-ending injury The Oregon Ducks received unfortunate news on Friday when it was announced that star wide receiver Evan Stewart suffered an injury that could sideline him for most of the 2025 season, if not the entire year. According to Ducks Wire's Zachary Neel, multiple sources confirmed that former five-star senior WR Evan Stewart sustained a knee injury, which will keep him out for most of next season. The former Texas A&M Aggie was expected to be a key contributor for the Ducks after losing Tex Johnson and Traeshon Holden to the NFL. While at Texas A&M, Stewart showed flashes of talent, recording 91 receptions for 1,163 yards and six touchdowns in his two seasons in the Maroon & White. He earned All-SEC and All-American honors after his freshman season but struggled to stay on the field. Of the 25 possible games, he played in just 18, missing a third of the 2023 season. Stewart will likely use a redshirt year, and we wish him a speedy recovery for the 2026 football season. Nation's No. 3 Recruit Drops Cryptic Message After Finalizing Top 4 Schools originally appeared on Athlon Sports. As the college football offseason continues to roll on, many teams are starting to put a tremendous amount of effort into landing players in the 2026 recruiting class. Advertisement One name that has been making a lot of noise is Class of 2026 offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho out of Baltimore, Maryland, who stands at a staggering 6-foot-7 and weighs 350 pounds On Friday, On3's Hayes Fawcett reported that Iheanacho has significantly narrowed down his list and will be choosing between LSU Tigers, Oregon Ducks, Penn State Nittany Lions and Auburn Tigers. Of course, it's a big decision, and Iheanacho even went to social media to get the opinion of some fans, reposting Fawcett's report with a caption featuring a house emoji followed by a question mark. There's no doubt that all four of these teams would love to land him, as he's listed as a five-star recruit, the No. 2 offensive tackle, the No. 1 player in Maryland and the No. 3 player in the nation, per On3 Industry Rankings. Advertisement Throughout his high school career, Iheanacho has proven to be a dominant player, being named a 2024 MaxPreps Junior All-American after not allowing a single sack during his most recent season. Of course, all four programs will get a chance to host Iheanacho for official visits. He'll be at Auburn on Friday, having already visited LSU on May 30, and will visit Penn State on June 13 and Oregon on June 20. Penn State Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin and Oregon Ducks head coach Dan LanningRobert Goddin-Imagn Images Before making his official decision on Aug. 5, much of the momentum favors Oregon, as the On3 recruiting prediction machine currently gives it the best chances (86.1%) to land Iheanacho's commitment.
