New fee taking effect July 1 for some Sioux City utility bill transactions

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A new fee will take effect on July 1 for some Sioux City utility bill payment methods.
According to the city government, at this time, the city covers the transaction fee for customers using certain payment methods. That means that right now, city utility customers can pay their bills for water, sewer, and trash service without paying additional fees for using a debit or credit card or electronic check.

City government advises that customers can continue to avoid the fee by setting up auto pay with the city, or by using their bank's bill pay service if one is available.
If you have any questions, you can visit the Customer Service Center in City Hall or call (712) 279-6132.
