Samsung Galaxy M36 announced with Exynos 1380 and 5,000mAh battery
The Galaxy M36 is Samsung's latest M-series device and it was announced in India today. It brings a new design with the updated camera island but the specs are mostly in line with last year's Galaxy M35.

Galaxy M36 gets a 6.7-inch AMOLED display (FHD+ 120Hz) with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and a waterdrop notch for its 13MP selfie camera. The back houses a 50MP main cam which is paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro cam.
Samsung went with its in-house Exynos 1380 chipset at the helm. It is paired with 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. The software side is covered by One UI 7 based on Android 15 and Samsung is promising six Android updates. The battery comes in at 5,000mAh and supports 25W charging.
Galaxy M36 comes in three colors - Orange Haze, Velvet Black and Serene Green. Pricing starts at INR 22,999 ($269) for the 6/128GB trim, though Samsung is slashing that to INR 16,499 ($193) during the launch offer period.
Open sales are scheduled to begin on July 12 from Amazon India and Samsung's official online store.

After Verizon's pricing crisis, this sort of thing has become quite an expected occurrence. I have no idea why Verizon is doing this, or if it even knows that this is happening. From what I can gather, the company is desperately trying to retain existing customers. Users keep being offered excellent promotions at random, or when they seem to indicate that they're thinking of switching carriers. However, Verizon 's price increases keep screwing over other users, and deals like the aforementioned $50 Amazon gift card just stop working. Verizon is hardly the only American telecom company that users are displeased with. T-Mobile, despite its rapid growth, has drawn the ire of its customers due to removing plans that included taxes and additional fees. The carrier also recently delisted Go5G plans, and its price hikes and insistence on the T-Life app have angered many a user. However, if random goodies appeal to you, then T-Mobile Tuesdays probably means that you'll be a lot happier with the 'un-carrier'. Hopefully, Verizon will take note of this problem soon, and offer this deal once more to people who missed out due to errors or crashes. A report out of Korea says that mass production of the tablet's OLED panels by Samsung and LG has started. The device could end up being unveiled in October or November and released in time for the 2025 holiday shopping season. Last year, Samsung supplied Apple with the OLED displays for the 11-inch M4 iPad Pro while fellow South Korean company LG produced the 13-inch OLED panel for the 2024 iPad Pro. This year, reports suggest that both LG and Samsung will each deliver 11-inch and 13-inch displays used on the iPad Pro (2025) models. Last year's iPad Pro (2024) tablets were the first from Apple to replace the LCD panels with OLED. OLED displays offer users a screen with better contrast, darker blacks, and wider viewing angles. Because OLED pixels generate their own light, no backlight is needed for OLED displays. Thus, such screens are thinner and are more flexible than LCD displays. Devices using an OLED panel can save battery life by going into Dark mode. That's because creating the color black on OLED is a matter of turning off a pixel and pixels that are turned off do not need to draw power from the battery. Apple is expected to convert the display on the iPad mini to OLED next year and do the same with the iPad Air in 2027.
