Jack Ginnivan has the last laugh in his Ken Hinkley battle
The Hawks and Power have had a simmering rivalry ever since Ginnivan fanned the flames during last year's finals series.

Last September, the polarising small forward made an Instagram comment that implied his Hawks would make short work of Port Adelaide in a semi-final and fly to Sydney to take on the Swans the following week.
After Hinkley's side pulled off a three-point victory, the coach had plenty of words for Ginnivan, made an 'aeroplane' gesture (see below) and earned himself a $20,000 fine and stern talking to from the AFL.
Fast forward to Saturday afternoon and after Ginnivan kicked what proved the final goal in Hawthorn's 13.9 (87) to 7.7 (49) victory in horror conditions, he couldn't resist sheepishly putting the arms out and mimicking Hinkley's famous move.
'Will he give them the aeroplane here back to Kenny if he kicks it, Jack?' Dwayne Russell asked on Fox Footy as he prepared to send his shot towards goal.
'Yes he does! Yes he does!'
Hinkley was then shown in his coach's box and he had a grin and a laugh as he saw the funny side of Ginnivan's act.
'Well done Kenny,' Dermott Brereton said. 'He's a good man Kenny. He's taken that in great spirits.
'Sometimes you just have to lick your wounds, don't you?'
Brad Johnson added: 'That's a brilliant celebration. Not over the top, just flying low today.'
Brereton responded: 'It was a sheepish one too. I'm applauding Ken for having a giggle at that. Kenny's just stood up and said touche. Well done.'
Some fans booed Hinkley when he was shown on the big screen, with the long-serving Port coach ending his tenure at the club at the end of this season.
But Russell gave him credit for the way he handled it.
'Brilliant sportsmanship there from Kenny,' he said. 'The fans, a bit of pantomime booing when Ken was shown on the big screen too.
'But he's been a fantastic coach at Port Adelaide, he just won't be a premiership coach at Port Adelaide.'
Hinkley was then naturally asked about the moment in his post-match press conference.
'Payback's, I was going to say something else there, payback's deserved,' he said with another smile.
'Look I have no problems with it, I'm OK with it, I think it's good for the game, the theatre of the game.
'And good on Jack, brave enough to go out there and play the way he played and do what he needed to do.
'And Hawthorn themselves as a club … I acknowledge it was my turn today.'
A section of Hawks fans also gave Hinkley the same gesture from the stands as he made his way down to the rooms.
Hawthorn's victory puts them in fourth place midway through round 19 and well placed to play finals again this season.
But fans and broadcasters were talking about Ginnivan's cheeky moment.
Fox Footy's X account tweeted: 'The Hawks will be flying home with a win … Jack Ginnivan with a late game message to Ken Hinkley.'
Up the Mighty Hok wrote: 'I will admit, he is taking it well! Good on him!'
The Hawk Talk Podcast said: 'Fair's fair. And good on Ken for taking Ginni's cheekiness well. The very last laugh went to Jack and he knew it. There was nothing else to do but recognise.'
Wesley Edwards said: 'The perfect reaction from both of them! This is what competitive respect should look like.'
The Welsh Bull added: 'Ha great sport by both of them, love to see it.'

Glenn Maxwell says Australian T20 team has never had power hitters like Cam Green, Tim David
The injection of big-hitting powerhouses Cameron Green and Mitch Owen into the batting order alongside Tim David could turn Australia into an unstoppable T20 powerhouse according to veteran star Glenn Maxwell. Australis is undefeated in four games in the West Indies having twice chased down totals of more than 200 to win, with David's freakish 37-ball century in the third game a standout performance. But Green, who has come in at No.3 in all four games in a new move, is his team's leading run-scorer with 173 runs, including three half-centuries, and is average 86 at a strike rate above 160. His 12 sixes is the most of any teams and Maxwell, who opened the batting but said he was only warming the seat for absent Travois Head, said the emergence of the new crop of power hitters, including Owen, who made a half-century on debut in the opener, was exciting for Australian cricket. 'It's been great to see the growth of some of the guys and 'Greeny' in this series has been absolutely outstanding (with three half-centuries in four innings),' Maxwell said. 'We're seeing him turn into a really consistent and solid T20 player and it's just so exciting for Australian cricket to see these guys with this sort of power and it's going to be dangerous for a lot of teams heading forward.' Maxwell said the sort of hitting provided by the likes of Green and David, who has 11 sixes in just two innings in the series, plus Owen and even Josh Inglis, could be the missing link to significant Australian success in the format with Head to return. 'I think the way we're probably going to set up our T20 side heading forward is you've got Travis up the top, you've got Mitch Marsh who is captaining us brilliantly at the moment. ''Ingo' (Josh Inglis) is doing a great job at No.3 and the rest of the order falls into place around that. 'We've got some unbelievable power hitting at the moment, we've seen some guys really put their hand up – Tim David, Mitch Owen and Cameron Green – throughout the middle. 'They're three pretty big blokes with big reach and they hit the ball an absolute mile, so it's great to have those guys with that extra bit of power in the middle order. 'It's not something we've had an abundance of over the years and to have that at our disposal at the moment is pretty exciting.'

Super Netball stunner as emotional speech sparks all-time Vixens comeback
Melbourne Vixens are riding high after a last ditch effort to beat the NSW Swifts by 66 to 65 points, to book their place in the 2025 Super Netball grand final. They came from behind in the dying seconds of the game, having trailed 51-41 after the third quarter, and will go into next week's match full of confidence having won eight of their last ten games. Watch every game of the 2025 Suncorp Super Netball season, LIVE on Kayo. New to Kayo? Join now and get your first month for just $1. Standing in their way however, will be the formidable West Coast Fever, who demolished the Swifts by 32 points in last weekend's major semi-final. Speaking post match captain and MVP Kate Moloney said, 'I'm exhausted but I'm so bloody proud. We were down by ten goals and we found something in that last quarter and they just never stopped fighting.' Coaching her second last match with the Vixens, Simone McKinnis, added, 'We weren't going to walk away from here afraid to take risks. They saw a glimpse and a hope and away they went.' It was the greatest preliminary final comeback in Super Netball history, beating the nine-goal market the Vixens set in 2022 against the Giants. It was a dismal end to the season for Swifts, despite the return of inspirational captain Paige Hadley who has missed the last two rounds with a foot injury. While she provided a calm head and safe pair of hands, the Swifts have been bundled out of the finals in straight sets, after looking untouchable as they went undefeated through the first eight rounds. There was immense pressure from the opening whistle, causing fumbles, stray passes and uncharacteristic missed shots. The Swifts were first to take advantage of those errors, going long and high to Grace Nweke in the circle. Despite her athleticism, some balls were sprayed over her head or swatted away by goal keeper Rudi Ellis who finished with six gains, allowing the Vixens to shift gears and take a three point lead into the first break. The Swifts hit the front in the second quarter as their confidence grew, with Helen Housby raising the bar after a quiet few weeks. Passes started going in more smoothly to the circle, with Nweke lifting her shooting from a subpar 77 percent in the first quarter to a total of 53/58 at 91 percent across the match. With the Swifts' Sharni Lambden applying enormous pressure at wing defence, Vixens' skipper Moloney did everything she could to pull her side over the line. She had a strong connection with Sophie Garbin under the post, who picked up the slack while the hero of so many victories, Kiera Austin, struggled for influence early on. The Vixens seemed down and out of the contest with the deficit sitting at 11 points and their penalties twice their opponents, until Lily Graham sank consecutive supershots to bring the margin back to single digits. In an inspirational last quarter Austin finally switched on her radar when it counted, firing in three long range shots to finish with 12/16 including four from five supershots, while her partner Garbin had a solid 46/47. The Vixens found another gear and rolled over the Swifts in highly emotional scenes. MCKINNIS MAGIC Simone McKinnis will make her final appearance as Vixens' coach in next weekend's grand final, after 212 games in charge of the club. Across 13 years, she's taken them to two titles, three minor premierships and a further three grand final appearances, and will leave massive shoes to fill. It looked like it was going to be McKinnis' final game in charge at the end of the third quarter but an inspiration and emotional final address helped inspire the Vixens to life. 'We have nothing to lose here! Except for throwing our best selves as this contest,' McKinnis said. Remarkably, the previous three Super Netball preliminary finals have been decided by a solitary point, with the Vixens taking out two of those wins, and the Swifts the other. Despite moving on into the grand final, neither side was then able to steal the ultimate victory.
