Get a look at former Ohio State quarterback Will Howard throw deep balls to youth campers
Has there been a quarterback in Ohio State football history who made an impact on the fanbase like Will Howard? He said all the right things, showed passion and leadership, and it didn't hurt that his one year in the Scarlet and Gray resulted in a College Football Playoff national championship.
On top of it all, he gets the big picture and has no problem giving back in the community. The latest example of that was seen this past weekend when he visited former teammate Jack Sawyer's youth camp in Pickerington, Ohio, to be a part of all the fun with some of the youth that made it out to the festivities.
One of the funniest -- and cutest -- moments was captured on film by local Columbus CBS affiliate WBNS 10TV, Adam King when Howard huddled up with an offense of only receivers apparently and told them to go deep. Some funny comments about Jeremiah Smith ensued and Howard completed a pass to one of the myriad of youth receivers.
In the huddle pre-snap, Howard tells the kids, "Everybody run into the end zone as fast as you can. Be like Jeremiah Smith, alright," said Howard. "But no catching with one hand," quipped one of the campers who found agreement among others. "Yeah, no catching with one hand because ... we're not Jeremiah Smith," Howard replied in agreement.
The current Pittsburgh Steeler then lobbed a long pass that was caught and celebrated. Watch the short interaction below and let a little smile form in amusement.
You have to love this. Howard will forever be a champion on and off the field. Don't bet against him doing some of the same things in Pittsburgh that he was able to do on the banks of the Olentangy once his NFL career begins to heat up.

Texas A&M is predicted to land 2026 5-star DL out of Louisiana Texas A&M's race to land 2026 five-star defensive lineman Lamar Brown got a bit smoother on Sunday night after the news that the standout defender would no longer visit LSU, but after it was revealed that Brown changed his mind, and will take an official visit with the Tigers on Friday. While this is surprising, it's fair to remember that Brown is a Louisiana native. Still, Brown's official visit to Texas A&M was reportedly a massive success, and on Monday morning, 247Sports' staff submitted a prediction for the Aggies to land Brown, but this was before rescheduling his LSU OV. However, this has not affected coach Mike Elko and his defensive line coaches Sean Spencer and Tony Jerod-Eddie, who have developed a strong and lasting relationship with Brown over the last year. According to 247Sports recruiting analyst Mike Roach, just because LSU is still squarely in the mix, as well as Miami, Texas A&M should still be considered the leader coming down the stretch. "Texas A&M was among the earliest programs to get on Brown, and the Aggies repeatedly hosted him in College Station. He's got an incredibly comfortable relationship with the staff, including coach Mike Elko, defensive line coaches Sean Spencer and Tony Jerod-Eddie and coordinator of player development Mason Smith, who's especially done a strong job. It certainly seems like this one is trending toward Texas A&M, but LSU won't go away easily. Brown goes to high school on the Tigers' campus and is an incredibly important target for them. Still, the Aggies have put in the most consistent recruiting effort over the past two years." Relationships are everything in today's recruiting age, and with the recent House vs. NCAA settlement, NIL deals have become much clearer, at least for Power Four players. While LSU shouldn't be taken lightly, I still like the Aggie's chances of landing Brown on July 10. Texas A&M lands 2026 4-star OT out of Clearwater (FL) Texas A&M's success recruiting elite offensive linemen has been mightly impressive under head coach Mike Elko and O-line coach Adam Cushing, who recently signed six offensive linemen in the 2025 recruiting cycle aren't slowing down, as 2026 four-star offensive tackle Samuel Roseborough committed to the Aggies on Monday night. Florida had been a recruiting pipeline for former Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher and has been re-established under Elko after beating out Florida State and the Texas Longhorns for the standout blocker, who has played both ways during his last two seasons as a defensive lineman. Playing primarily as right tackle during his 2024 junior season, Roseborough has continued to improve as a pass protector and has been a difference-maker in the run game. Again, beasting out Florida State for a player from Clearwater (FL) while out-recruiting Texas, who has also dominated in O-line recruiting under coach Steve Sarkisian, is highly notable. Standing at 6-4 and 185 pounds, Roseborough will likely shift inside at either right or left guard at the next level, and due to his elite run-blocking skillset, this should be a seamless transition. Roseborough is the first offensive line commit in Texas A&M's 2026 class, and likely won't be the last. According to 247Sports Composite, Roseborough is currently positioned as the 142nd-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 8th-ranked interior offensive lineman, and the 17th-ranked prospect in Florida. Michigan State football offers 3-star lineman Lemani Fehoko of San Mateo, Calif. Michigan State football has extended an offer to a three-star lineman from California. Lemani Fehoko of San Mateo, Calif. announced on Monday that he's received an offer from the Spartans. He posted about the offer on his social media X account. Fehoko is listed as a three-star prospect with a recruiting rating of 87 on 247Sports. He is listed as both an offensive and defensive lineman on 247Sports, and measures out at 6-foot-1 and 280 pounds. Fehoko ranks as the No. 42 defensive lineman in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports. He is also listed as the No. 50 player from California in the class. Michigan State is one of more than 10 schools to extend an offer to Fehoko, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, California, Tennessee, Washington, New Mexico, Portland State, Sacramento State, San Diego State, San Jose State and UNLV.
