A new report has provided more details on the legitimate shoulder injury suffered by WWE Women's Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan. The injury occurred during the June 16 episode of Monday Night Raw.
The PWInsider.com report confirms the injury was a "freak occurrence" and not a pre-planned storyline. The unfortunate timing has thrown several major creative plans into question.

The Injury And Backstage Details
Morgan was injured just moments into her match against Kairi Sane. She appeared to dislocate her shoulder after landing awkwardly from a move.
The match was immediately stopped, and WWE medical personnel attended to her backstage. The PWInsider report confirms the injury is 100% legitimate and that there is no backstage heat on anyone involved in the incident.
WWE is now waiting to learn the full severity of the dislocation. A more severe injury could potentially sideline Morgan for upwards of 16 weeks, but a definitive timeline has not yet been established.

Nikki Bella Feud And Evolution 2 Plans Derailed
The injury could not have come at a worse time for Morgan's career. Just one week prior, she kicked off a high-profile feud by attacking the returning WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella.
It was widely expected that this angle would lead to a marquee match at the upcoming Evolution 2 premium live event. The rumored plan was for a reunited Bella Twins to challenge Morgan and her partner, Raquel Rodriguez, for the tag team titles.
Future Of The Tag Team Titles
Morgan's status as a reigning WWE Women's Tag Team Champion is now in serious doubt. A long-term absence would almost certainly force her and Rodriguez to vacate the championships.
The situation has become a major topic in the wrestling world. Even Morgan's on-screen rival, Rhea Ripley, broke character on social media to condemn fans who were celebrating the legitimate injury. No one should be celebrating this setback for Morgan as she was in a lot of different big things in WWE whether that's being the Women's Tag Team Champion, feud with Nikki Bella or potential clash with Women's Champion IYO SKY. We wish her a speedy recovery from this nasty injury.

Woman Gets Sent Video From Dog Sitter, 'Screaming' at What She Sees
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The video a pet parent received from the dog sitter showing off the canine's shyness quickly went viral on TikTok with over 10.7 million views. TikTok user @despollo hired a dog sitter to look after her Shetland sheepdog. She didn't expect any problems, but the video she received from the sitter had her questioning her dog's ability to listen. Her dog stared at the sitter from across the room. With her head tilted slightly, she wondered what this strange human was doing in her house. The sitter motioned with her hands for the Sheltie to come with her to go outside. She walked toward the back door, thinking the dog followed, but when she turned back around, the sitter gasped. The sneaky Sheltie disappeared from the sitter in the March 7 video. He vacated the room at the first chance he could get. He was nowhere to be found. The owner wrote on the clip that she was "screaming" once she received this video. But, coming to his defense, she explained in the caption that "he's shy." She shared in a follow-up video that her dog does listen when asked to go outside, but only to her. Newsweek reached out to @despollo via TikTok for additional information. The dog sitter shouldn't read into the canine's reaction too much, as plenty of dogs are shy around new people. To help a canine warm up to you and get out of their shells, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals suggested people do the following tips. Squat down with your body sideways to the dog. Keeping your body language calm, look down or away from the dog. Place treats on the floor around you for the dog to self-reward without pressure. Do not pet the dog until they show a signal that they want attention. Staying in the same room, not paying attention to them, will allow dogs to approach at their own speed. Be sure to avoid looming over, approaching too quickly or reaching a hand down from above. Viewer Reactions TikTok users flooded the clip with hilarious reactions and shock, bringing in over 1.5 million likes and 804 comments as of Tuesday. "The genuine shocked gasp is so funny," wrote one viewer. Another added: "She sending this for confirmation, and it's been confirmed he don't wanna be babysat." Several users chimed in on their similar experience: "Bro, our Sheltie is SO quiet, and he also does this to us. It's the funniest thing." Tupac Murder Trial Update: Defendant Calls Out Prosecutor's Remark in Court
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Duane "Keffe D" Davis, the man accused of killing rapper Tupac Shakur, challenged comments from the prosecution during a court hearing on Tuesday. Chief Deputy District Attorney Marc DiGiacomo said the jurors in Davis' battery trial did not know who he was, Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. "Yes, they did," Davis said. Newsweek reached out to the Clark County District Attorney's Office and Carl Arnold, Davis' attorney, for comment. Davis was convicted on counts of battery by a prisoner and challenging someone to a fight in April after an altercation with another inmate. Davis is scheduled to go to trial for a murder charge related to Shakur's killing in February 2026. Arnold and Chief Deputy District Attorney Binu Palal indicated during today's hearing that they would be ready to start the trial at that time. Duane "Keffe D" Davis appears for a hearing related to his indictment in the 1996 killing of rapper Tupac Shakur, February 18, 2025 at District Court in Las Vegas, Nevada. Photo by John Locher-Pool/Getty Images Why It Matters The murder of Shakur has remained one of American pop culture's most enduring and scrutinized mysteries. Shakur, widely known as 2Pac, died at age 25 after being shot in a drive-by attack near the Las Vegas Strip on September 7, 1996. He succumbed to his injuries six days later. The case remained open and unresolved for nearly three decades despite intense public speculation, documentary coverage, and various conspiracy theories about what really happened that night. What To Know In September 2023, Las Vegas police arrested Davis, an alleged former gang leader from Compton, California. In his 2019 memoir, Davis claimed he was inside the car where the shots were fired from and described acquiring a .40-caliber handgun and handing it to his nephew, Orlando "Baby Lane" Anderson. Authorities and Davis himself claimed the shots that killed Shakur came from this vehicle. Davis and his attorney have argued that he should not have been charged due to immunity agreements he claimed were made with federal and local authorities years ago. His attorneys characterized the indictment and 27-year delay in prosecution as a violation of constitutional rights. However, Clark County District Court Judge Carli Kierny stated that "the state of Nevada has never offered" Davis such a deal. Davis' attempt earlier this year to dismiss the case was unsuccessful. Prosecutors have described the evidence against Davis as compelling, including the detailed accounts in his book. The 1996 shooting allegedly followed a casino altercation between Shakur and Anderson. Anderson, who had denied any involvement, was fatally shot in 1998. Other alleged accomplices are also deceased. Davis has remained in custody since his arrest. An attempt by Arnold to get Davis released on house arrest was denied by Kierny last year. Kierny cited concerns about Davis and the person offering to pay his bail profiting off the sale of Davis' life story. What People Are Saying Arnold, in a statement to Newsweek last year after Davis was denied release: "We firmly believe there is a lack of substantive proof that Mr. Davis intended to profit from his alleged connections to the case." Kierny, addressing Arnold at a hearing in July 2024: "It seems like your plan, your end goal here, is to make some kind of show for the press of this trial." What Happens Next Another hearing in the murder case is scheduled for September 9. Davis is also challenging his convictions related to the altercation in jail. His attorney has requested a new trial, and a hearing has been set for July 2. Do you have a story that Newsweek should be covering? Do you have any questions about this story? Contact LiveNews@

R-Truth has become sudden WWE wild card in John Cena's retirement tour
Ron 'R-Truth' Killings has become the most interesting part of John Cena's retirement run. Cena cut a promo on SmackDown last week about how everything in his storyline is going to plan. But what's going on with Killings, both on and off screen, doesn't feel a part of that. Killings is the wild card while working on one of the defining runs — and maybe the last — of his WWE career. Killings was supposed to be released, until fan and locker room support led to his return less than a week later, so anything he did couldn't have been part of WWE's plan when Cena's heel turn started.
