7 Afghans caught using forged visas at KLIA
The group, comprising five adults and two teenagers, arrived in two separate batches on Sunday and Tuesday.
According to the Malaysian Border Control Agency (MBCA), the seven — aged between 15 and 36 — were found to be using falsified visas believed to have been obtained in Uzbekistan.
"The arrests were made based on intelligence received. They claimed they had fled Iran and intended to make Malaysia their final destination," the agency said in a statement today.
Following investigations, MBCA KLIA took swift action to deny them entry for breaching immigration regulations and using forged travel documents.
The agency said the prompt and decisive action reflected MBCA's continued commitment to maintaining the highest standards of border security.
"MBCA remains firm and steadfast in its efforts to prevent any attempts at illegal migration into the country," it added.

KLIA enforcement officer nabbed over alleged 'counter setting' activity
KUALA LUMPUR: An enforcement officer was arrested this morning at Terminal 1 of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on suspicion of involvement in misconduct related to a "counter" setting" activity. The Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (MCBA) said the arrest was made after its Monitoring and Integrity Units detected the officer's suspicious behaviour via closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage at the immigration checkpoint. "A total of RM8,391.45 in cash, three communication devices, and several notes containing passport numbers were found in the officer's possession. "Initial investigations found that the notes contained the last four digits of passport numbers, believed to be linked to the unauthorised facilitation of individuals' entry and exit," it said in a statement today. The officer was initially handed over to the MCBA Integrity Unit at KLIA for internal investigation before being referred to the Selangor Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission for further action. MCBA said it takes any breach of integrity seriously, particularly those involving the security of the country's entry points, and and will take firm action against any officer found to be involved. "We remain committed to strengthening internal monitoring and inter-agency cooperation in the fight against misconduct among its officers," it added.
