Old Town Arts Festival returns: Here's all the events you shouldn't miss

Yahoo4 days ago

One of Swindon's biggest festivals, which made its comeback last year, is preparing to hit the streets again with over 30 events.
The Old Town Arts Festival had been a key event on Swindon's calendar for more than 24 years, but it was put on hold in 2020 when the world entered a global pandemic.
After making a successful comeback in 2024, the festival is now preparing to return to town from Saturday, June 1, 2025, for a whole week of free or cheap family events.
The festival will kick off at the start of June with a family fun day in Town Gardens offering food, drink, live music, workshops, market stalls and more.
Celebrations will then continue throughout the week with a variety of fringe events, all centred around the arts, before concluding on June 8 with a street party for all on Wood Street.

"A variety of locations and activities will be on offer, whilst honouring the spirit and essence of what the festival was all about - bringing Old Town together."
Here's the full schedule and location of the 2025 festival events, which you won't want to miss.

New Sylmar Park & Ride System Makes Getting to the Hollywood Bowl This Summer More Accessible

New Sylmar Park & Ride System Makes Getting to the Hollywood Bowl This Summer More Accessible originally appeared on L.A. Mag. A new park and ride system is now taking people from San Fernando Valley straight to the Hollywood Bowl, just in time for the Bowl's summer 2025 season. The service has about 15 locations throughout L.A. County, and its expansion to the Sylmar Metrolink Station makes attending events at the Bowl much more accessible. 'This is about making arts and culture accessible to every corner of L.A. County and connecting communities to the incredible experiences they deserve. This new service reflects our commitment to equity, sustainability, and joy — bringing music and performing arts closer to home for more Angelenos,' said Los Angeles County Supervisor Lyndsey Horvath in a media release. The Sylmar Park and Ride is available on select concert nights and can be reserved in advance to avoid traffic and parking issues. Reserved spots cost $8, and day-of-show tickets can be purchased at the lot for $12. The Hollywood Bowl summer season commences with An Evening with Hugh Jackman on June 7. Other events this month include Tyler Childers, Mumford and Sons, and a Grease Sing-A-Long. The new Sylmar Park and Ride service makes connecting music lovers with these unforgettable shows a much smoother experience. Check out the full summer lineup for the Hollywood Bowl here.
