Law Roach On Zendaya, Anna Sawai Met Gala Outfit Drama

Buzz Feed14-05-2025

By now, you're probably aware that Zendaya and Anna Sawai — like many other celebrities — awkwardly ended up wearing very similar outfits at the 2025 Met Gala.
Zendaya wore a custom white Louis Vuitton suit and hat, while Anna, who attended the Met for the first time this year, wore a white Dior suit, collared shirt, and hat.
It wasn't long before the matching looks became a huge talking point online — and the discourse only grew further when Zendaya's longtime stylist, Law Roach, was filmed reacting to the outfits in real time.
While being interviewed by media outlet Hello Beautiful on the Met carpet, Law paused mid-answer and began laughing to himself after spotting Anna. 'I am dying coz she got on Zendaya's look,' he said, looking visibly uncomfortable. 'I'm so glad we came early,' he added, while seemingly never finishing his original response.
In a separate red carpet interview with Access Hollywood, Law shouted, 'Oop!' and, 'Who wore it better?' as he saw Anna posing on the red carpet.
Law's reaction to the matching outfits quickly garnered a heap of attention online, with several internet users speculating that he seemed 'pissed.'
Now, Law has addressed the uproar during a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, during which he clarified that there was no 'disappointment' on his end. 'I think people thought that there was some type of disappointment on our end,' he began. You know, [Anna's] stylist, Karla Welch, and I are very friendly. We've known each other for years. And Karla and I talked.'
Law went on to reveal that Zendaya even sent Anna a wholesome gift after the awkward moment. 'Zendaya sent Anna flowers, 'cause it was her first Met,' he shared, before adding: 'But yeah, it wasn't any disappointment. It was, like, two people paying homage to two different people, you know, Yoko [Ono] being Anna's inspiration, and Diana [Ross] and Bianca [Jagger] being ours.'
'It just happened! They both looked great, and they're both beautiful women. I mean, I hate the way that people try to [pitt] women or stylists…You know, it was all great,' Law said.
Reacting to Law's comments, several fans praised Zendaya's sweet move, describing her as a 'class act.' 'Zendaya seems really sweet, that was nice of her to send Anna flowers,' someone wrote. 'Of course Zendaya sent flowers, she's a girl's girl,' another user said.
However, tons of internet users couldn't help but raise their eyebrows over Law's remarks about Zendaya and Anna's looks being compared, given that his reaction to the matching suits sparked a heap of discourse online.
'He's talking like we didn't see the shade he threw at Anna,' one person wrote. 'I guess he forgot when she was on the carpet. He turned and said at least Zendaya did the carpet first. He flamed the fire,' another agreed.

Madonna Teams Up With Shawn Levy and Netflix For a Limited Series Based on Her Life: Report

Madonna fans have been waiting for years to see the Queen of Pop get her very own biopic — and according to a new report, they may finally get to see one. According to a report from Deadline on Monday (May 12), Madonna has teamed up with Deadpool & Wolverine producer Shawn Levy to develop a limited series based on her life and career for Netflix. Levy's production company 21 Laps currently has an exclusive deal with Netflix. The new project is apparently not related to a much-discussed and since-delayed feature film based on Madonna's life. The project, which was being developed by Universal Pictures and set to star Ozark and Inventing Anna actress Julia Garner as the pop superstar, was put on an indefinite hold in 2023 as Madonna embarked on her Celebration World Tour. In 2024, however, Madonna sparked rumors that the film might be back in the works, when she shared a since-deleted photo of herself sitting at a typewriter working on a screenplay titled Who's That Girl — an apparent nod to her 1987 film and song of the same name. Still, Madonna herself floated the idea of creating a TV series about her life in November of last year, claiming that a number of 'producers and agents' told her that she wouldn't be able to make her film the way she wanted to. 'Downsize-down scale-think smaller-they say—I realized that everything in my life is going to be challenged,' she wrote in a since-removed post, before asking her fans if they would prefer to see her story adapted into 'a series or a feature film.' General Hospital Spoilers Preview June 5: When the Courtroom Becomes the Delivery Room, Is It Willow to the Rescue?

The next General Hospital spoilers video for Thursday, June 5, 2025, shows Sahsa going into labor on the witness stand while Willow springs into action. Also, Lucky wraps his brain around Liz's rejection. Anna (Finola Hughes) informs Jason (Steve Burton), 'I need your help to prove that I'm right.' Clearly, she wants him to help prove that Professor Dalton (Daniel Goddard) is up to no good. Anna has an entire police force at her fingertips, but she trusts the local hitman to get the job done. READ THIS: Find out what's up with Anna and the Professor. Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) asks Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), 'Are you saying 'no' forever?' The weekly teasers state that Lucky faces a hard truth, which is most likely that Liz won't marry him because he could leave Port Charles at any moment. Brennan (Chris McKenna) says to Josslyn (Eden McCoy), 'Under no circumstances are you to run interference.' She must be aware that Anna is starting to suspect Dalton, and Brennan wants her to focus on the mission and let him take care of the police commissioner. READ THIS: Could Lucky and Liz settle into being an actual couple? Maxie (Kirsten Storms) tells Sonny (Maurice Benard), 'We put our misgivings aside until we have a reason not to.' She's probably defending the fact that Deception needs to work with Sidwell (Carlo Rota) for his rare Earth minerals until such time that he proves he's a villain. At the courthouse, Carly (Laura Wright) accuses Nina (Cynthia Watros), 'It was you!' Despite not wanting to betray Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), Nina must have told Ric (Rick Hearst) that Michael (Rory Gibson) got her pregnant. READ THIS: Learn about the stuntwomen who brought Nina and Carly's epic catfight to life. Meanwhile, on the witness stand, Sasha states, 'I think I'm going into labor!' The teasers also show that Willow springs into action, so her nursing skills are probably going to come in handy. If Willow delivers Sasha's baby, this might unfortunately work in her favor with the judge's custody decision.

Madonna Announces A New Album Dropping Next Month

Madonna announces Veronica Electronica, a remix album of Ray of Light era tracks, arriving July 25 ... More and led by 'Skin (The Collaboration Remix Edit).' NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 05: Madonna attends the 2025 Met Gala Celebrating "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" at Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 05, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Kevin Mazur/MG25/Getty Images for The Met Museum/Vogue) For several months now, Madonna has been teasing the next chapter of her musical career. The superstar revealed on social media not long ago that she's working on a follow-up to her album Confessions on a Dance Floor, which she is currently referring to as Confessions 2. There's no word yet on when fans will get to hear anything from that project. But they won't have to wait long before they can listen to new tunes from the icon, as she has announced a completely separate full-length that's set to arrive in only a few weeks. Madonna has announced a new album titled Veronica Electronica. The full-length remix set is expected to drop on July 25. The first tune from the project, "Skin (The Collaboration Remix Edit)," was shared at the time of the announcement. Veronica Electronica features seven previously unreleased and rare remixes of songs from her album Ray of Light. The tracklist includes smashes like "Frozen," "Nothing Really Matters," and, of course, the title track, as well as several other cuts. Fans who pick up a copy of the album will also be treated to a never-before-shared demo of the song "Gone, Gone, Gone," which wasn't originally featured on Ray of Light. According to a press release announcing Veronica Electronica, the album was apparently conceived back in 1998 during her Ray of Light era. When the full-length took off and became hugely successful—perhaps more so than some in her camp were expecting—the remixes were put aside and never revisited until now, more than a quarter-century later. It's now been almost six years since Madonna released a new studio full-length. Madame X, her fourteenth project, dropped in the summer of 2019. The Grammy winner has reportedly already played Confessions 2 for some people, but when it comes to the general public, she's remaining quiet about the set. Madonna is also currently busy prepping a Netflix miniseries about her life, which was once meant to be a feature-length film, but which appears to have shifted mediums, perhaps in order to fit more story in.
