Lili Reinhart Will Star in the Movie Adaptation of 'The Love Hypothesis'
Ali Hazelwood's bestselling romance novel The Love Hypothesis is officially coming to the big screen. The forthcoming film from Amazon MGM Studios and MRC will be directed by Claire Scanlon (Set It Up) and penned by Sarah Rothschild (The Sleepover). Hazelwood will also executive produce the adaptation.
Here's everything we know about the project so far.
The Love Hypothesis follows a third-year biology Ph.D. candidate named Olive Smith who begins a fake relationship with a professor, Dr. Adam Carlsen.
Lili Reinhart (Riverdale) will play Olive Smith, the Ph.D. candidate. (Reinhart will also executive produce the film.) On July 16, she shared the news on Instagram with a photo of her holding a copy of the book while wearing white scrubs. She captioned the post: '👀🧬❤️ #thelovehypothesis.'
She also posted a fun TikTok of her in a bookstore. In the video, she says, 'I'm looking for a book that could be turned into a really good romantic comedy that I could possibly be the lead of.' A bookstore employee then hands her a copy of The Love Hypothesis.
She posted another video of her in a lab, wearing scrubs, and highlighting a section of the book:
Reinhart's co-star will be Tom Bateman (Death on the Nile). He'll play the professor, Dr. Carlsen. She celebrated Bateman's casting announcement with a third TikTok video introducing his character and their romance arc.
In a statement, Hazelwood expressed her excitement about the upcoming adaptation. 'Elizabeth Cantillon [the film's producer], Claire Scanlon, and Lili Reinhart have all created, produced, or starred in works that I'm absolutely feral about, and I am beyond honored that they're choosing to bring their talent to this project,' she said, per Deadline.
She continued, 'Books and films are very different media, and I have complete trust in this brilliant team. I cannot wait to see the final product they'll come up with. I hope they have as much fun filming as I had while writing the book.'
As of now, Reinhart and Co. have yet to announce a release date, but stay tuned.

Jason Momoa Shaves Beard in Viral Video—Watch Here
Jason Momoa just debuted a new look and he is not a fan. The actor shaved his beard for the first time in six years ahead of filming the third installment of Dune, and apparently he's not here for the new look. "Haven't shaved in six years, and here we are again," Jason wrote in the caption of an Instagram video chronicling the moment—where he can be heard saying "God damn it, I hate it. I think it's been about six years, maybe a little bit more since I did Dune. This is the kickoff, Dune 3….Only for you Denis." Jason also used the video as an opportunity to talk about eliminating single use plastic, saying "I launched @mananalu to help eliminate single-use plastic. Now, we're taking it even further, partnering with our team at @Getboomerangwater to bring in a closed-loop system that sanitizes and bottles water onsite. That means even less waste, reduced shipping footprint, and our aluminum bottles get reused over and over. This is the future, and we're starting in Hawai'i. Let's get rid of single-use plastic. For our children and for our planet." FYI, Jason last shaved his beard in 2019, and posted a video of the moment on YouTube:

Taylor Swift Keeps Wearing This Belt Brand - And So Do All Your Favorite Celebrities
When Travis Kelce went Instagram official with Taylor Swift last week, eagle-eyed fans everywhere zoomed in for a closer look at that phone background. I, on the other hand, clocked a different detail. Taylor was wearing B-Low the Belt yet again. This belt brand isn't new to fashion insiders. In fact, it's been featured in the glossy pages of ELLE Magazine on several occasions. But as more style stars step out in B-Low the Belt (and as Swift continues to don her ever-growing collection), I figured it was time to let you in on the industry secret. As I said, it really is one of Taylor Swift's go-to accessories that she reaches for time and time again. She's been photographed wearing at least three different styles. Selena Gomez, Emily Ratajkowski, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Sydney Sweeney, Sofia Richie Grainge, Florence Pugh, Charli XCX, and Alix Earle are also fans of the woman-owned brand. I'll own up to the fact that I'm not much of a belt wearer, but even I can recognize the transformative power of a good-quality belt. One quick cinch of the waist, and your look is completely elevated. And you and I both know—when Swift does something, the world will follow suit. The Los Angeles-based brand is shoppable online, at Revolve. Below, browse my curated edit of the best styles to shop now. ELLE Collective is a new community of fashion, beauty and culture lovers. In the books, he eventually returns as a clone. It is unclear whether Villeneuve will follow that plot point in the third film. Dune: Part Three features returning cast members Chalamet, Zendaya and Florence Pugh. The film is also set to feature Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, Momoa's teenage son with actor Lisa Bonet. Bonet and Momoa announced their split in 2022, and the two divorced in 2024. They have two children together, Nakoa-Wolf and daughter Lola Iolani. Momoa previously bid farewell to his facial hair in a 2019 YouTube video, which he also used to raise awareness of his aluminum bottle water brand.
