Controversial Married At First Sight groom Ryan Donnelly has shocked fans as he debuted his latest acting gig. It's understood the project manager, 36, has pursued acting amid reports he is unable to find work after Nine's reality hit finished airing in April. On Sunday, the reality star took to Instagram Stories to share a photo of himself dressed as a police officer for a new role. Ryan looked every inch the real-life cop, complete with his faux attire that included a badge, patches, a blue shirt, and a bulletproof vest. MAFS fan account mafsgossip quickly reshared the new gig along with two other of Ryan's past dress-ups. He could be seen rocking a 70's moustache in one, while the other showed him posing with claws and a white tank top at a festival. Fans flocked to the comments section to say the MAFS star was well suited to the force. "He actually suits it," one person said. "Suits you. It's never too late to join the police force," another person said. It's not the first time the aspiring actor has stunned fans by posing as an officer. In March, one fan took to social media to point out Ryan's cameo appearance in the new BINGE Original Series The Last Anniversary. 'Just watching new series on BINGE, is this who I think it is? It's called The Last Anniversary,' they wrote, along with a screenshot of the star. The Last Anniversary, based on the book of the same title by author Liane Moriarty, is executive produced by Australian A-lister Nicole Kidman. In March, Jacqui obtained an interim restraining order against Ryan, which prevented him from commenting on social media about her. Ryan subsequently applied for an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (ADVO) against her. The matter was heard at Campbelltown Court House in April. Lauren Dunn: Alleged DV victim of former Fremantle Docker Ryan Crowley thankful for police, positive messages
The former reality TV star who has accused ex-Fremantle Docker Ryan Crowley of serious domestic violence offences, has broken her silence for the first time since details of the horrific allegations surfaced. Lauren Dunn, who is an ambassador for Polished Man — a movement that aims to end violence against women and children in Australia — said she had been overwhelmed by the messages she had received over the past two days. Mr Crowley faced Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday accused of unleashing a torrent of abuse on Ms Dunn, a former Married At First Sight contestant, which included beating then choking her until she fell unconscious at a house in Claremont on Tuesday and Wednesday. The 41-year-old denies the charges with a duty lawyer telling the hearing his client disputed the severity of the allegations put before the court and the physical contact that was alleged. Taking to Instagram on Friday, Ms Dunn vowed to continue to advocate for changes to the way domestic violence was reported in the media in Australia and praised WA Police for how they dealt with her claims. 'This has ignited a fire in my belly to continue to use my voice as an advocate for others and to work to change the way Australian media reports on DV in Australia,' Ms Dunn wrote in statement posted to her Instagram account. 'I can say that WA Police have been nothing short of amazing. 'I felt empowered and strong and supported. I hope that (others) out there can read this, and it will give them confidence to go to police. I am doing well, I am OK and it's business as usual.' During Mr Crowley's bail application hearing, the court was told the pair had been in an on-and-off relationship for five years, between 2018 and 2023, that had been marred with allegations of domestic violence. It was revealed in court there were six prior incidents involving the pair between 2019 and 2020 where police had been called out regarding allegations of arguments and controlling behaviours including one claim that Mr Crowley was the alleged victim, however no charges were laid. Mr Crowley has been charged with a string of offences including aggravated assault causing bodily harm and is set to appear in court again in July.
