Hugh Bonneville appears to kiss estate goodbye in Downton Abbey finale trailer
The movie is promoted as bidding 'farewell' to the Yorkshire-set series about the life of the landed gentry and their servants that began with a TV show before a series of films.
It sees the return of Bonneville; Michelle Dockery as Lady Mary; Elizabeth McGovern as Cora Crawley, Countess of Grantham; Laura Carmichael as Lady Edith; Jim Carter as the butler Charles 'Charlie' Carson; and Joanne Froggatt as Anna Bates.
The teaser begins with the family attending an opulent day at the races, and Mr Carson as an announcer saying: 'Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to 1930.'
The following clips show London theatrical productions, Dominic West as Guy Dexter and Lady Edith telling Lady Mary that she will be a 'sensation'.
The family then return to Downton Abbey, where a painting of Dame Maggie Smith's Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham, who died in the 2022 film Downton Abbey: A New Era, is shown along with dances and the staff.
Last year, Oscar-winning actress Dame Maggie died in September at the age of 89, with Bonneville remembering her at the time as a 'true legend of her generation'.
The trailer shows the words: 'It's almost time to bid farewell' before ending with the family and staff all waiting outside the grand estate, while the Earl presses his finger to his lips and then places them on the wall.
Starting as a series in 2010, the programme won a number of awards, including 15 Emmys, with three of them going to Dame Maggie for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series.
The series, the final of which aired on TV on Christmas Day in 2015, has also won a special TV Bafta award and earned Dame Maggie a nod.
Released in 2019, the first film in the trilogy depicted a royal visit to the Crawley family and Downton staff, while the second film, Downton Abbey: A New Era, saw them travel to France after Violet inherited a villa.
Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale will release in cinemas on September 12.

Parts of the Canongate were closed off for filming, with horse-drawn carts seen in the Old Town. More info Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, the 2009 war epic featuring a star-studded cast including Brad Pitt and Christoph Waltz, is often hailed as a 'masterpiece' by both critics and fans. The film, which was both penned and helmed by Quentin Tarantino, is available for streaming on Netflix, but viewers have limited time to watch it as it's set to leave the platform on June 16. Inglourious Basterds took its title from Enzo G. Castellari's 1978 Euro War film The Inglorious Bastards, with Mr Tarantino opting for a quirky misspelling to add "a Basquiat-esque touch". Despite starting the script in 1998, Quentin hit a snag with the ending and chose to direct Kill Bill in two parts before returning to complete Basterds. The film is a World War II revenge thriller that intertwines two main plots. The first one spotlights a merciless group of Jewish-American soldiers, known as the 'Basterds', who execute savage assaults on Nazis, whilst another narrative revolves around Shosanna, a French-Jewish woman who survived a Nazi massacre and is scheming her own retribution by utilising her cinema house as a snare for high-ranking Nazi officials. Their individual pursuits for vengeance culminate in a dramatic climax that reimagines history, delivering a finale imbued with Quentin's trademark violence, suspense, and dark humour. Inglourious Basterds proved to be an immense box office success, raking in around $321.5 million globally against its $70 million budget. The movie earned eight Oscar nods including Best Picture and Best Director while Christoph Waltz walked away with the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. In addition to his Oscar win, Christoph clinched the Best Actor gong at the Cannes Film Festival, not to mention BAFTA, Golden Globe, Critics' Choice, and Screen Actors Guild accolades for his riveting turn as Standartenführer Hans Landa. Horrifying moment Emmerdale's April comes face to face with man who committed disgusting act on her while homeless
EMMERDALE's April Windsor has come face to face with a vile man she endured during her time living on the streets. The teen, who spent time pregnant and homeless, unwittingly ran into a man who she encountered during her time sleeping rough. 5 5 5 Fans of Emmerdale will recall how April disappeared at Christmas amid her secret pregnancy and family unrest. She lived on the streets before eventually finding a squat where she stayed and begged for cash on the streets as well as witnessing brutal murders and attacks. April suffered her own trauma when she miscarried whilst homeless before being raced to hospital suffering from complications. Now, in scenes broadcast during the latest Emmerdale episode, April is forced to relive her horror ordeal when she comes face-to-face with a man who suggested he could perform a disgusting act on her because she was homeless. In the episode, April began working alongside Belle and the Take A Vow business amid struggles with schooling. She was tasked with helping out with a local christening and filming the day's proceedings. But when the dad of the child set to be christened walked into The Woolpack, April was visibly taken aback. A flashback then saw April sleeping rough as two drunk guys approached her. One man could be heard asking: "Why are we so wasted?" The other man then stated that he was "bursting" in a reference to needing to use the toilet. Emmerdale newcomer Bradley Riches reveals soap bosses allowed him to re-write his scripts for new role as Lewis Barton His pal then shockingly encouraged him to "go on him" after mistaking April for a man. Hitting back, the vile man then said: "Him? You need your eyes testing, he is a little girl." Then then asked April if she wanted a drink before throwing their remaining beer at her as the man begin to tug at his belt and unzip his jeans. April then began to get up and attempt to flee the situation as the man in question continued to unbuckle his trousers with a plan to urinate on her. 5 5 The homeless teen managed to get away with the man shouting a shocking comment to her, having already referenced one vile act. As he tugged at his jeans once more, he remarked: "Fancy earning yourself a quick fiver, do you?" The scene then cut back to April as she looked on in fear inside the pub. But will April tell everyone about her encounter with the vile man? Or will it be another secret she is forced to live with from her time on the streets?
