Ex-Rangers player 'in the frame' for vacant Motherwell job
Adam is said to have departed his role as Everton's set-piece coach in the hope of returning to the dugout after his first taste of management at Fleetwood Town last year.
The Daily Record report that Adam is under consideration by the Fir Park board, who are still on the lookout for Michael Wimmer's successor just weeks after the Austrian quit his job.

Wrexham star's dad landed in hot water with Cristiano Ronaldo after 'uncool' request
Wrexham star's dad landed in hot water with Cristiano Ronaldo after 'uncool' request Ollie Rathbone's father Mick was a physio at Everton for eight years, where his son would regularly visit and meet the club's star players Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo was unimpressed by Everton physio Mick Rathbone's request (Image:) The father of one of Wrexham's key players found himself in a spot of bother with Cristiano Ronaldo due to a favour his son requested. As a physio at Everton from 2002 to 2010, Mick Rathbone would often bring his football-loving son to the club, where he rubbed shoulders with stars like Wayne Rooney and Duncan Ferguson. However, it was Manchester United icon Ronaldo who truly captivated future Wrexham midfielder Ollie Rathbone. Mick shared an uncomfortable moment with the Portuguese superstar in a corridor after a match between Everton and United, all because Ollie had asked his dad to get a shirt signed by his hero. In his book "The Smell of Football," Mick wrote: "Sometimes, I must admit, when surrounded by these superstars, I just wanted to grab a pen and piece of paper and get their autographs, but this was frowned upon as being totally uncool. "A few years ago, however, when we played United, Ollie begged me to get Cristiano Ronaldo's autograph on his brand new Portugal shirt that he had just received for his birthday. I really didn't like to ask and did feel a bit of an anorak, but you know what it's like - you will do anything for your kids, won't you? "I kept my eyes peeled after the match, hoping to spot Ronaldo passing the medical room. Eventually, I saw him and stepped into the bustling corridor, clutching the shirt. Dressed in full Everton gear, I didn't feel too out of place. He didn't seem too thrilled, but took the shirt and pen without looking up or acknowledging me, and began to scribble. 'Could you write, 'To Oliver, happy birthday' on it please, Cristiano?' He still didn't look up but just continued scribbling. "'It's O-L-I-V...' I didn't get any further. He simply tossed the shirt back at me where, due to static electricity, it stuck. He then walked off, leaving me with the shirt on my head." Mick added: "There were a couple of the Everton press guys in the corridor that day who witnessed the whole thing, and we spent the next 10 minutes in fits of laughter. Never again." The Dutch defender had an indifferent first season at Ibrox and was subject of plenty of criticism, although he still played 43 games in all competitions last season for Rangers. However, Twente Enschede's new sports director, Jan Streuer, has revealed Propper has not decided whether to try and play his way into boss Martin's plans yet. He said: "We have to wait and see with him. "Robin wants to hear from his club on what they're going to do. "I understand that there are new owners, a new technical director, a new manager and new coaches. "They always have new ideas and they also bring their own players with them. "The question is what all this means for Robin. "But he's welcome back here." Rangers-daft Stuart Dallas, meanwhile, has told 49ers Enterprises powerbroker Paraag Marathe that leading Leeds to success will be nothing compared to restoring Rangers to glory. Marathe was appointed Gers vice-chairman after his 49ers Enterprises were part of the club's US takeover. £6m Rangers star Danilo spotted doing gruelling sessions on beach in Brazil as he gears up for make or break pre-season Their running of the Elland Road side saw them land promotion back to the Premier League after being crowned Championship champs. Leeds legend Dallas - forced to retire through injury last year - is a boyhood Gers fan so knows just how much it would mean for the Ibrox side to start lifting silverware again. Dallas, 34, said: 'Obviously Rangers are built on success. They have to get back to winning trophies and they don't settle for second best. 'I've said to Paraag before that if you get it right at Rangers you'll never experience anything like it." Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

Wrexham star caused dad to have Cristiano Ronaldo incident – 'He wasn't pleased'
The father of Wrexham's star midfielder once had an awkward encounter with Cristiano Ronaldo in a corridor, angering the star with a request which didn't go down well The dad of one of Wrexham 's star players once landed himself in hot water with Cristiano Ronaldo after his son asked him for a favour. Mick Rathbone, father of Red Dragons midfielder Ollie Rathbone, spent eight years working as a physio at Everton between 2002 and 2010. The former Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham City defender would often bring his football-mad son to work, where Toffees favourites like Wayne Rooney and Duncan Ferguson kindly took him under their wing. However, it was one of their opponents who Ollie was most starstruck by as a youngster - Manchester United legend Ronaldo. Mick revealed how it led to a very awkward encounter with the Portuguese forward in a corridor after a match between Everton and United. The incident, which left Ronaldo distinctly unimpressed, occurred after Ollie tasked his dad with getting his shirt signed by his idol. Recounting the episode in his book, The Smell of Football, Mick said: "Sometimes, I must admit, when surrounded by these superstars, I just wanted to grab a pen and piece of paper and get their autographs, but this was frowned upon as being totally uncool. Mick added: "There were a couple of the Everton press guys in the corridor that day who saw it all, and we absolutely p***ed ourselves laughing for the next 10 minutes. Never again."
