TheANTA KAI 2Speed arrives as the sleek, second chapter inKyrie Irving's KAI line, purpose-built to look fast even when standing still. Designed in collaboration with Dallas Stokes, this iteration pares down bulk for a streamlined, agile profile: a low-cut silhouette that sits close to the ground, anchored by Irving's split 'K11' logo on both the tongue and heel.
A breathable mesh upper is woven with contrasting overlays and layered accents, while dynamic arrow motifs along the quarters underscore its forward-driven aesthetic. Internally, a lightweight chassis and secure lacing system lock in a snug, responsive fit, making the KAI 2 Speed as versatile on the street as it is on the court.
Underfoot, a responsive midsole delivers energetic rebound for quick cuts and shifty play, while the grippy rubber outsole employs a herringbone traction pattern for reliable bite on hardwood or pavement. The silhouette debuts in a 'White/Purple' look with three more vibrant colorways to follow after.

Tim Elliott ahead of UFC 319: Gatekeeper label 'a fair assessment for me'

CHICAGO – Tim Elliott is very honest on where he stands in the UFC flyweight division. Elliott (20-14-1 MMA, 9-11 UFC) takes on Kai Asakura (21-5 MMA, 0-1 UFC) on Saturday's UFC 319 (pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+) main card at United Center in Chicago. A former title challenger, Elliott won Season 24 of "The Ultimate Fighter" to earn that opportunity and gave Demetrious Johnson a tough fight. The 38-year-old has since gone through many ebbs and flows, but he embraces the position he's in. "I hate that everybody kind of looks down on gatekeepers, but I think that's a fair assessment for me," Elliott told reporters at Wednesday's media day. "If you can't beat Tim Elliott in the flyweight division, you should not allowed to be in the UFC. I'm OK with that. The problem with this fight is, Kai has fought Pantoja, and now he's got to fight me. It's two tough guys in a row. "I'm not saying he couldn't come back from it, but two losses in a row really hurts that guy. I'm not the guy that's going to be UFC champion, and even if I was, it would be taking something from some young guy who's trying to get to where I am. All I want to do now is put on exciting fights, enjoy what I'm doing, and make some money, but there's tons of guys in the top 10 that I'd want to fight." Asakura challenged flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja in his octagon debut at UFC 310, but fell short in a submission loss. Elliott credits him for their placement on the UFC 319 main card. "I'm super happy about the matchup," Elliott said. "I was in the UFC before USADA, and in the UFC after USADA so, I fought on the big stages, on the small stages. But honestly, fighting Kai is getting me a chance to be on the pay-per-view portion. I'm only fighting on the pay-per-view part because I'm fighting Kai. So, I owe him a little bit for that. I'm excited to be here, and I love that, but I've been around for a long time and rarely get to fight on a pay-per-view card. So, that's all his doing."

Kyrie Irving on leaving LeBron's Cavaliers: 'It was just literally my time to move on'

There was a lot of drama around Kyrie Irving's exit from the LeBron James Cavaliers in the summer of 2017, just a year after they had teamed up to bring a title to Cleveland, with Irving hitting the biggest shot in Cleveland history. The spin at the time was that Irving was very unhappy his name came up in trade rumors and there was speculation — which was never backed up by any evidence — that LeBron had wanted Irving gone. Irving may never have wanted LeBron to return to Cleveland in the first place. None of that is how Irving sees it — and he doesn't have any bad blood toward LeBron and would be open to playing with him again (which plays into some speculation about what LeBron might do next summer). Here is what Irving said on a recent Twitch stream. 'When you're playing with someone like [James], or somebody you like to compare him to, it's a different animal. It's a different journey, you're automatically expected to be at the top of the league. Every time you play with him it's going to be a lot of media attention, a lot of narratives, spun narratives, politics, a lot of s*** that people don't see in front of the camera. And for me I was just a young person trying to figure it out. It's not that I disliked playing with him at any time, it was just literally my time to move on.' Irving went from being the favorite child and No. 1 pick in Cleveland to the No. 2 option next to LeBron, and on some nights the No. 3 option next to peak Kevin Love. That changed the dynamic for Irving, who was entering his fourth NBA season when LeBron decided to return to Cleveland from Miami. 'Being a young player, when you're on a team that's not winning a lot of games, it's a lot of bad habits that form, and that's what ended up happening to me when I was very young. I had a lot of bad habits. I was not a winner, I was not a good loser at all. I take my accountability, I had a lot of bad habits. That came from losing games and trying to get buckets all the time. I know it may have been beautiful for everybody to watch and getting all the highlights and accolades, but all I really wanted to do was win.' Ultimately, Irving was traded to Boston, and what started well there ended poorly. Irving then signed with Brooklyn to team up with Kevin Durant on a roster that never lived up to its potential, and now he is in Dallas with Anthony Davis and Cooper Flagg (although Irving is expected to miss much of the 2025-26 season recovering from a torn ACL suffered last March). There is speculation about LeBron to Dallas in the summer of 2026 — fueled by his and Davis' simultaneous, cryptic Instagram posts — but we are a long way off from that potential reunion. Just know Irving is in a different, and better, mental place than when these stars played together before.

Former Nets G James Harden picks KD, Kyrie Irving for starting 5

The Brooklyn Nets are heading into the 2025-26 NBA season in which they will be going through the second year of their latest full-scale rebuild under general manager Sean Marks. Brooklyn aren't expected to compete for a championship this upcoming season, but it wasn't too long ago when they had three some of the best players in the league. "That point guard position is crazy. You got CP (Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul), you got Russ (Russell Westbrook), and you got Kyrie (Irving). That is hard. Let me just go Kyrie, Russ, me, KD (Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant), and Joel (Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers center)," Clippers guard James Harden said in an interview with content creator FaZe Lacy. It's not surprising to see the starting five of teammates that Harden picked. Harden, 35, has spent time throughout his 16-year career playing with some of the best players in the NBA, including Durant and Irving during their time with the Nets. During the 2020-21 season, Harden was traded from the Rockets to Brooklyn to play with Durant and Irving in the hopes of leading the franchise to its first championship while allowing Harden to win his first title. Harden, Durant, and Irving were able to take the Nets to the 2021 Eastern Conference Semifinals, but eventually fell to Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in seven games. The 2021-22 season presented another chance for the trio to pay off what Marks invested in bringing Harden to Brooklyn, but the partnership ended fairly quickly as Harden was traded to the 76ers at the trade deadline. Harden went on to play with Embiid for parts of two seasons, but the superstar duo were unable to get past the second of the playoffs in their two seasons together. While Harden has yet to have championship success with a teammate, outside of Durant and Westbrook during their time with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the former Arizona State Sun Devil still looks back on his time with those players in a positive light.
