The Central Bank Center announced that the doll, supposedly possessed by the malevolent spirit of Annabelle Higgins, will thrill and terrify horror fans as part of the Warrens' Occult Museum Experience.
The Conjuring cinematic universe began in 2013 with 'The Conjuring,' followed by 'Annabelle' in 2014.
The lore behind the Annabelle doll is most famously traced to the account of a nursing student, Donna, who was given the doll as a birthday present by her mother. Within days of being given the doll, Donna and her roommate, Angie, noticed Annabelle began mysteriously moving around the house and standing on its feet.

Soon, the two women said they noticed Annabelle leaving written messages on parchment paper, something Donna claimed she didn't keep in the apartment.
A friend of Donna and Angie, named Lou, claimed he had terrifying recurring dreams involving the doll and was convinced it wasn't a dream. Lou said the doll would climb up his leg and stop at his chest. He later claimed that, after hearing loud rustling in an empty room in the apartment, he found Annabelle tossed aside in the corner of the room.
Lou said that when he turned to leave the room, he was attacked by something he couldn't see and had seven distinct claw marks on his chest. The claw marks supposedly disappeared after two days.
The Warrens investigated the claims surrounding Annabelle and took it home to their museum-like basement, where the doll was sealed in a special glass case with the words 'Warning, positively do not open.'
The Warren's museum stayed open in their Connecticut home until it was closed in 2018 due to zoning issues.
Annabelle will be joined at Scarefest by horror icon Robert Englund, who is famous for portraying Freddy Krueger, and 90 celebrity guests from Oct. 17 – Oct. 19. Tickets are available for those brave enough to come face-to-face with Annabelle here.

I swear by this one garden plant that loves the heat, and I plant it year after year
There's one garden flower that I plant on repeat, and it never fails to disappoint. Apart from delighting me with its bright, cheery blooms, it's easy to care for and thrives in a heatwave. And as our summers become hotter and rainfall more scarce, it's one plant I'm going to continue to champion. What's more, it has a long flowering season and is an economic buy if you're on a budget. However, you may be surprised when I reveal that my favored plant is a pelargonium, often referred to as a geranium. Usually viewed as an old-fashioned plant (my grandpa grew many), it is frequently overlooked in today's modern garden. But I know, from experience, that pelargoniums have a lot to offer. Not only do they come in a wide variety of colors — I like to mix mine up for a color clash — but they are also easy to care for and thrive in the heat. So, when all the blooms around them are wilting, through too much sun and insufficient water, pelargoniums continue to stand out. What's more, pelargoniums are easy to care for. I don't think I'd admit to being a lazy gardener, but I'm all for having time to sit back and enjoy my efforts, without having to spend all my time attending to my blooms, which is another reason why I think they are a winner. I'm a creature of habit, and I like to think this is down to my past successes, but I always plant my pelargoniums in window boxes and planters. And I like them planted on their own, without any other petals to take away their prowess. I also tend to keep to one color palette, and I change this year by year, sticking to white, pink, or red flowers. But this year I've gone off the rails and created a color-clashing display of red and pink. Now, my tiny front garden is ablaze with red and pink window boxes of pelargoniums, with lavender in pots, and a beautiful Hydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle' forming a low hedge. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. I can't say I particularly like the smell of scented pelargoniums; it's slightly heady for my taste, but if you do, they are great plants to grow for their fragrance. They can be easily planted at the front of borders and in containers, where you will enjoy the scent as you pass by. Trailing pelargoniums also perform well in hanging baskets and will wow you with petals from spring through to fall. Although I tend to plant my pelargoniums in window boxes, I do have a few in my backyard planted in containers. This allows me to move them about so they don't receive too much sun. If this occurs they will exhibit signs of stress, such as scorched or brown leaves, or wilting and curling leaves. If you plan to move your containers around, ensure your pot isn't too large, as once it is filled with soil, it will become heavy and harder to shift. Pelargoniums will do best if planted in fertile, well-draining soil, so if it lacks nutrients or holds onto moisture, amend it as needed. Also, ensure that, if planting in containers, the drainage holes are large enough for water to pass through; otherwise, you risk the roots becoming waterlogged. Pelargoniums don't require a great deal of care and will thrive in full sun and well-draining soil. What's more, they are drought-tolerant, making them excellent plants for hot, dry climates. However, they will appreciate regular watering to prevent them from drying out, especially if planted in containers or hanging baskets rather than directly in the soil. I regularly deadhead spent flowers using my best pruning shears, and the time is well spent. Deadheading your pelargoniums will ensure they continue to bloom, rewarding you with bright, new flowers throughout their long growing season. This Felco bypass pruner is perfect for medium-sized hands and comes with a comfortable ergonomic handle. It has a sturdy design, yet is lightweight and gives a consistent performance. What's more, this pruner is given a 5-star rating in our round up of the best pruning shears. Pelargoniums and geraniums are from the same family, but they are often confused. However, geraniums are perennial plants that return each year, while pelargoniums are annuals and will last only for one growing Margaret at @Margaret's Garden School explains the difference between the two.

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Adams County coroner Francis Dutrow has spoken out about the whereabouts of the "possessed" doll Annabelle at the time of paranormal investigator Dan Rivera's death. Newsweek reached out to Dutrow via email for comment outside regular working hours on Monday. The Context Rivera, 54, died suddenly on July 13 in a Gettysburg, Pennsylvania hotel room, the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR) said. A day prior to his death, Rivera hosted a showing of Annabelle while leading NESPR's sold out "Devils on the Run Tour." Dan Rivera/Instagram;What To Know Dutrow said Annabelle, who inspired the movie The Conjuring, was not at the scene of Rivera's death, People reported. In a previous statement to Today, Adams County Chief Deputy Coroner Scott Pennewill said Rivera's cause of death was "nothing suspicious." "The coroner's office and the state police were called to the scene on Sunday night," he told the outlet. "He did go for an autopsy today and it's pending." According to a Pennsylvania State Police report, Rivera "was discovered in his room by coworkers." Annabelle was given as a gift to a nursing student in the 1960s, but was deemed "demonically possessed" by late NESPR founders Ed Warren, a demonologist, and his wife Lorraine Warren, a trance medium. Per NESPR's website, the Warrens placed the doll in a glass box "to contain the evil spirited entity." Annabelle is usually housed at the Warrens' Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut but has recently been on tour throughout the United States. What People Are Saying The NESPR wrote in a statement posted to Facebook: "It's with deep sadness that Tony, Wade, and I share the sudden passing of our close friend and partner, Dan Rivera. We are heartbroken and still processing this loss. Dan truly believed in sharing his experiences and educating people on the paranormal. His kindness and passion touched everyone who knew him. Thank you for your support and kind thoughts during this difficult time." Ghost Hunters star Jason Hawes addressed Annabelle rumors surrounding Rivera's death in a message shared to Facebook: "Recently the World lost a good man. Dan Rivera was an Army veteran, a father of four, a husband, and someone who truly cared about people. "What's even harder to see right now are the posts blaming his death on things like the Annabelle doll and attacking places like Ghostly Images of Gettysburg Tours and other locations for having events. That needs to stop. His family shouldn't have to read that kind of nonsense while they're grieving. "Some people are using his passing to push an agenda for profit, and it's just disgusting. Dan was a family man, a respected paranormal investigator, and he left this world way too soon. "Let's focus on remembering Dan for who he was, not turning his death into some made up bull**** story to get clicks or attention. "Honor the man. Forget the garbage." Ghost Adventures star Zak Bagans said in a statement to Us Weekly: "My thoughts and prayers go out to [Rivera's] family and friends. I can only speak to my experiences with Annabelle. I did have the opportunity to investigate Annabelle when the owner brought her to my museum in 2017. I got very affected by her and it kind of caused me to touch the doll. The owner didn't like that too much. It was a demonic infestation and severely affected me, and I was literally in the hospital the next day. It was a two-month-long attachment and one of the worst experiences of my life." What Happens Next The Conjuring: Last Rites, the latest film in The Conjuring franchise, will hit theaters in September. Pennewill said Rivera's autopsy will likely take 60 to 90 days, per Today.
