BENEFIT launches Credit Information Exchange with Kuwait's CINET
BENEFIT, Bahrain's innovator and leading company in Fintech and electronic financial transactions services, and Kuwait Credit Information Network Company (CINET) launched the credit information exchange to facilitate commercial credit inquiries between Kuwait and Bahrain. This step comes in line with the GCC Supreme Council's decision approving the exchange of credit information between GCC member states. The agreement was signed during a ceremony held at CINET's headquarters in Kuwait in the presence of senior representatives from both institutions.
The launch marks a significant milestone towards enhancing financial cooperation among Gulf countries by establishing a structured and secure framework for institutional connectivity and data exchange. Moreover, it provides financial institutions in both markets with real-time access to credit information, enabling them to make informed decisions on lending and credit facilities while helping to mitigate risks and strengthen overall financial stability. It also aligns with the directives of the GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee and adheres to key regulatory guidelines.
In addition to strengthening financial stability, the collaboration between CINET and BENEFIT supports innovation within the credit information sector by facilitating the exchange of institutional expertise and best practices. As part of this agreement, both organizations will work through standardized processes for requesting, analyzing, and sharing credit information in a secure and efficient manner.

Whether you are planning to perform Umrah, reunite with family, explore the country for tourism, or attend business meetings, here is a detailed guide to the visa options available. Travellers from eligible countries can obtain a visa on arrival at Saudi Arabia's airports and land or sea entry points. On arrival, you can either use self-service kiosks or apply directly at the passport control counter. You may qualify for a visa on arrival if you: Hold a valid Schengen, US, or UK visit visa. Are a permanent resident in the US, EU, or UK. For most eligible nationalities, the Saudi eVisa is the most convenient option. Applications can be submitted online through the official eVisa platform. The eVisa is issued electronically and delivered by email once approved. Who can apply for a Saudi eVisa? Kuwait Launches Historic Legal Reform, Aims For 25% Code Revision In A Year
Kuwait's Justice Ministry is preparing to launch what officials say will be the most ambitious legislative development program in the nation's history, aiming to review and update a record share of its laws in less time than ever before. Justice Minister Nasser Al Shemmari said the country's legal code currently comprises 983 laws. When he assumed office, he pledged to review 10 percent of them within a year. In practice, he said, his ministry had already examined 118 laws in just eight months exceeding the initial target both in volume and speed and is now moving to assess another 15 percent. That would bring the total reviewed this year to 25 percent. 'All of Kuwait's core laws will undergo evaluation and development,' Al Shemmari said, adding that eight specialized committees are currently working on major statutes, including the Economic Courts Law, the rental and owners' association law, the penal code, the criminal procedures law, and labor legislation with an eye toward streamlining judicial processes. He noted that a new judicial law, now in its final stages, has been referred to the government's legal advisory body and is expected to be completed soon. The minister described a heavy 'legacy burden' in the justice sector, saying Kuwait's courts handle far more cases than those in other Gulf states, in some instances up to 10 times more. Judges, he said, are tasked with resolving even the smallest disputes, which clogs the docket and delays verdicts. Al Shemmari cited outdated procedures, including in notarization and power-of-attorney systems, as major contributors to case backlogs. The current committees, he said, are working to deliver amendments 'in the best way and the shortest possible time.' Kuwait also intends to introduce new laws to address pressing needs, though the minister acknowledged that 'time is the only challenge we face' in completing the work.
