Amanda Holden to be immortalised in wax at Madame Tussauds in Blackpool
A team of 25 people are working on the TV star's wax figure which will go on display later this year at the iconic Madame Tussauds Blackpool situated on the promenade.
Amanda has now completed her inaugural sitting at the "world-famous" Merlin's Magic Making studio which includes a "meticulous measurement process" by a highly specialised team of wax artists.
Madame Tussauds Blackpool says the artists spent hours photographing the 53-year-old Heart radio presenter to ensure her figure will be an exact likeness when the figure is unveiled.
"It is like a dream come true", Amanda said. " I've been to Madame Tussauds. I was lucky enough to open one. I was filming something there with my friend Leigh Frances and I dreamt of it happening - and now it is."
Amanda has been a judge on the ITV talent show Britain's Got Talent for almost two decades and has visited the iconic seaside resort many times, including climbing to the top of Blackpool Tower for charity.
"Blackpool is obviously the centre of entertainment in our country," she said. "It's known for the good old days!"
She added: "We came up one year and Simon was absolutely knocked out by the warmth and the audiences were extraordinarily noisy. "I think we'll be coming back to Blackpool now for the BGT auditions for the foreseeable future. The people are so lovely. When we stay, it feels like home from home. "
A team of 25 craftsmen and women will take around 800 hours in total to complete Amanda's figure, including 350 hours in sculpture time alone.
A further 180 hours will be spent inserting individual strands of hair, while recreating her smile will command another 30 hours.
Jill Jenkins, Guest Experience Manager at Madame Tussauds Blackpool, said: "We are thrilled Amanda has now completed her first sitting.
"It is such an important part of the process as it allows our artists to capture all those tiny details that make each of our figures so lifelike.
'Amanda has such an expressive face and distinctive look that we know visitors will instantly recognise her figure when it's unveiled.
"We selected the perfect outfit and pose which showcases Amanda's vibrant personality. Fans can expect a figure which truly embodies her glamour and warmth that millions have come to know and love through Britain's Got Talent and her radio show."
The wax figure will go on display in Madame Tussauds in Blackpool in the near future. Britain's Got Talent will be back in Blackpool for auditions at The Winter Gardens in October 2025.

Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen admits 'It's pressure' as she issues family farm update
Amanda Owen has opened up about her farmhouse renovation as she admitted the home project has come with a lot of "pressure" Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has confessed the farmhouse renovation project is proving challenging as she revealed "I have a lot on my plate". The shepherdess, 50, and former husband Clive have been restoring a permanent residence for their nine children: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine, and Nancy. The farmhouse, known as Anty John's, had been abandoned for several years and Amanda acquired ownership of the property in March 2020 with aspirations of handing it down to their large family. Yet it hasn't been a straightforward process as the house, which sits near Ravenseat Farm, requires extensive work before they can relocate. The television personality turned to social media to provide followers with a much-needed progress report on the renovation as she confessed the housing project has brought considerable "pressure" Sharing on her Instagram, Amanda posted a photograph leaning against one of her horses and wrote: "The Summer holidays continue, reports Gloucestershire Live. "And finally we have got our hay made and the main part of our sheep clipped. Still some strays to round up so never can truly say that they're all done." The Channel 4 personality acknowledged: "The renovations of Anty Johns #ourfarmnextdoor continues and with that comes the pressure of setting too and making the critical decisions that are part and parcel of this huge undertaking." She added: "So I have had a lot on my plate these last few weeks and finally took some time to enjoy what is easy to take for granted. What surrounds me, the countryside, land, stock and people. And horses And horses, And horses." Viewers will witness the transformation unfold on screen as Channel Four has officially greenlit the continuation of the family's television programme, Our Farm Next Door. The reality renovation programme has secured commissioning for two additional series on More4. In the third and fourth instalments of Our Farm Next Door, cameras document the Owen clan as they tackle their massive interior overhaul, mapping out layouts and designs whilst fitting plumbing and water systems. The programme also chronicles the everyday agricultural existence of Amanda, her former spouse Clive and their nine fast-growing offspring in the isolated Yorkshire Dales. Writing a heartfelt message to supporters, Amanda said: "I am beyond delighted that we have been given the opportunity to showcase this unique and beautiful part of our British countryside." She continued: "And for people to join us on our exciting journey through the restoration of our farm next door. "We're grateful for Channel 4's support and the effort and utter dedication of the film crew who have had to work in challenging weather conditions, coupled with the unimaginable chaos of both children and animals. This is a programme that I am seriously proud of."

Monica Lewinsky teams up with Amanda Knox for new Hulu docudrama
Monica Lewinsky and Amanda Knox are partnering on a Hulu docudrama about the latter's experience spending four years wrongfully imprisoned in Italy for murder. Lewinsky, whose affair in the 1990s with then-President Bill Clinton became a media frenzy, told ABC's 'Good Morning America' on Monday she saw in Knox 'another young woman who had suffered in the media, had been feasted on, on the world stage.' Knox, who serves as a producer on 'The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox' alongside Lewinsky and show creator KJ Steinberg, added in the 'Good Morning America' interview that she felt similarly about the bond between the two. 'We were both interrogated; we've both been viciously turned into caricatures of ourselves in the media,' Knox said. The series, which premieres Wednesday on Hulu, follows 'Amanda's relentless fight to prove her innocence and reclaim her freedom, and examines why authorities and the world stood so firmly in judgment,' according to the streamer. Grace Van Patten of 'Tell Me Lies' stars as Knox in the show. In 2007, Knox was a 20-year-old studying in the Italian city of Perugia when her British roommate Meredith Kercher was found stabbed to death in their shared apartment. Knox and her recent Italian boyfriend at the time, Raffaele Sollecito, were convicted of the killing. The American was freed from prison in 2011 when an appeals court overturned the conviction, finding errors in the forensic investigation. She was then re-convicted, though that was also overturned by 2015. In an interview with The Independent in March, Knox said she considers herself part of a group of women she calls 'The Sisterhood,' people who have become subjects of excessive media speculation and criticism. 'The women who've been the subject of TMZ headlines, SNL skits, and David Letterman's Top Ten Lists,' Knox wrote of the group in her recent memoir, referencing Monica Lewinsky and Lorena Bobbitt. 'Even though I have gone through a very extreme experience, a lot of the things that I've learned from it are actually really universal,' Knox told The Independent while promoting the book. 'And I'm kind of addicted to that good vibes feeling that I get after being ostracized for so long.' Since her release, Knox has advocated for others behind bars, including Melissa Lucio, a woman on Texas death row who maintains she was wrongly convicted for the fatal beating of her 2-year-old daughter. Lewinsky previous served as a producer on a dramatized Hulu series about her own story, 'Impeachment: American Crime Story'.
