Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen admits 'It's pressure' as she issues family farm update
Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has confessed the farmhouse renovation project is proving challenging as she revealed "I have a lot on my plate".
The shepherdess, 50, and former husband Clive have been restoring a permanent residence for their nine children: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine, and Nancy.
The farmhouse, known as Anty John's, had been abandoned for several years and Amanda acquired ownership of the property in March 2020 with aspirations of handing it down to their large family.
Yet it hasn't been a straightforward process as the house, which sits near Ravenseat Farm, requires extensive work before they can relocate.
The television personality turned to social media to provide followers with a much-needed progress report on the renovation as she confessed the housing project has brought considerable "pressure"
Sharing on her Instagram, Amanda posted a photograph leaning against one of her horses and wrote: "The Summer holidays continue, reports Gloucestershire Live.
"And finally we have got our hay made and the main part of our sheep clipped. Still some strays to round up so never can truly say that they're all done."
The Channel 4 personality acknowledged: "The renovations of Anty Johns #ourfarmnextdoor continues and with that comes the pressure of setting too and making the critical decisions that are part and parcel of this huge undertaking."
She added: "So I have had a lot on my plate these last few weeks and finally took some time to enjoy what is easy to take for granted. What surrounds me, the countryside, land, stock and people. And horses And horses, And horses."
Viewers will witness the transformation unfold on screen as Channel Four has officially greenlit the continuation of the family's television programme, Our Farm Next Door.
The reality renovation programme has secured commissioning for two additional series on More4.
In the third and fourth instalments of Our Farm Next Door, cameras document the Owen clan as they tackle their massive interior overhaul, mapping out layouts and designs whilst fitting plumbing and water systems.
The programme also chronicles the everyday agricultural existence of Amanda, her former spouse Clive and their nine fast-growing offspring in the isolated Yorkshire Dales.
Writing a heartfelt message to supporters, Amanda said: "I am beyond delighted that we have been given the opportunity to showcase this unique and beautiful part of our British countryside."
She continued: "And for people to join us on our exciting journey through the restoration of our farm next door.
"We're grateful for Channel 4's support and the effort and utter dedication of the film crew who have had to work in challenging weather conditions, coupled with the unimaginable chaos of both children and animals. This is a programme that I am seriously proud of."

Following his split from Hayley Palmer last year, the quizmaster is on a mission to find new love with the help of dating experts Anna, Paul C Brunson, and Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn. After announcing his break-up, Mark said he'd been living "quietly" in Yorkshire, and embracing life as a singleton. Now ready to step out of his comfort zone and date again, he has put his love life in the hands of the dating gurus. Ahead of his dates being shown on screen, Anna, 44, shared what he was like during the process. She said: "Mark is probably one of the most fascinating celebrities we've ever had. Let's just say, for me, he's an appointment to view. He gives us it all!". Hinting at some clashes during filming, she added: "He has a few ups and downs with us agents, I will throw that out there. Mark is definitely a force to be reckoned with and I think he met his reckoning force in us." Issuing a warning, Anna continued: "Let's just say we don't tolerate any clap back in the agency." Celebs Go Dating stars Anna Williamson, Paul C Brunson, Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn and Tom Read Wilson When asked about the specific guidance he received, he said there were "suggestions of flirting" which "didn't feel natural" to him.
