'Thunderstruck' has been AC/DC's longest-running hit on the Billboard Global 200 for quite some time now. That chart, introduced half a decade ago, ranks the most popular songs around the world by blending sales and streaming data to display what listeners everywhere are enjoying. In the modern era, 'Thunderstruck' has become the Australian rock outfit's most popular track, decades after its release and years after it first appeared on the highly competitive tally.
The tune is still climbing, and this frame marks a very special one for the cut — and for the band in general.
'Thunderstruck' rises two spots on the Billboard Global 200 this week, improving from No. 142 to No. 140. That marks a new best showing for the single on the worldwide roster.
Just last week, 'Thunderstruck' was tied as AC/DC's highest-charting hit ever on the Billboard Global 200. It matched 'Highway to Hell,' as both compositions stalled at No. 142. Now, 'Thunderstruck' has pulled ahead, and AC/DC officially claims a new biggest hit ever on the ranking.
As it reaches a new all-time peak on the Billboard Global 200, 'Thunderstruck' also climbs slightly on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. That tally, compiled in the same way, but without factoring in American streams or sales, does not see the tune hit a new best showing this week. In the past, it soared as high as No. 169. This time around, it's up to No. 175, so while it's not far behind its top position, it hasn't reset the record just yet.
'Thunderstruck' also appears on a trio of Billboard charts that track American listeners specifically. Impressively, the decades-old cut is steady across all three and remains inside the top 10 on the Rock Digital Song Sales, Hard Rock Digital Song Sales, and Hard Rock Streaming Songs rankings, as it remains a top seller and streamer.
So far, none of AC/DC's five songs that have reached the Billboard Global 200 have broken into its upper half. Along with 'Thunderstruck' and 'Highway to Hell,' 'Shot in the Dark' (No. 150), 'Back in Black' (No. 191), and 'You Shook Me All Night Long' (No. 199) have all charted, though only for brief moments.
In addition to being AC/DC's highest-charting global hit, 'Thunderstruck' is also its longest-charting. The track has now spent 90 weeks somewhere on the Billboard Global 200. 'Back in Black' stands as the band's second-longest-running success on the tally, with just six frames on the list. 'Highway to Hell' only managed four, while both 'Shot in the Dark' and 'You Shook Me All Night Long' debuted, disappeared, and have yet to return.

Sneaky French Goose Makes Off With McDonald's Meal Like It's the Ultimate Prize

Sneaky French Goose Makes Off With McDonald's Meal Like It's the Ultimate Prize originally appeared on PetHelpful. Whether they care to admit it or not, just about everyone loves fast food. So, is it really any surprise that this is also true of our animal counterparts? Not really. And even in a place like France, which is renowned for its world-class fine dining culture, people, and as you will see in this video, animals, are not above enjoying the simple pleasures of a meal from American fast food titan McDonald's. However, we think that the French goose in this video more than just 'enjoys' McDonald's. Otherwise, why would he bother to steal someone's McDonald's meal and then try to get away with it like he just stole a Mega Millions winning lotto ticket? As this bizarre, and quite frankly, hilarious video shows, McDonald's is hard to resist. Deep in the suburbs of northern Paris, a man, Calvin Moreau, was just trying to enjoy his happy meal when he started recording a goose waddling towards him to seemingly investigate what was in his McDonald's to this video's comments section, Mr. Moreau attempted to talk to the bird in French as he grew suspicious that the bird had nefarious intentions regarding the contents of his McDonald's bag. According to the video, Mr. Moreau told the thieving bird, 'Stop that. Just because you're bigger doesn't mean you're smarter!' The next thing the Frenchmen knew, the bird had taken off with the paper McDonald's bag wrapped around their neck. This video had many people wondering: Can birds eat French fries? It's a good question. After all, these salty, delicious snacks are a favorite of many people all over the world. And a lot of people do enjoy feeding birds. So, why not give them French fries? Obviously, it's easy to give a bird a French fry, and it's just as easy for them to scarf it down. But is it actually good for them? The truth is, yes and no. French fries are not toxic to birds per se because they are mainly composed of carbohydrates and do contain some vitamins and minerals. However, French fries, especially McDonald's French fries, contain a lot of sodium and preservatives, which are detrimental to many animals', including birds, digestive systems. As such, if you see a bird approaching your bag of McDonald's, you should keep it away from them at all costs. Looking for more PetHelpful updates? Follow us on YouTube for more entertaining videos. Ferris Bueller's iconic vest goes up for auction 40 years after famously skipping school

Few films have done more to cement the city of Chicago's reputation in American culture than 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off,' the 1986 teen comedy classic that follows Ferris and his two friends as they skip school in the suburbs to explore everything the Windy City has to offer. Now, 40 years after cameras first rolled, an iconic piece of the film's wardrobe is jumping off the screen and into one lucky fan's closet. Starting today, Sotheby's will be auctioning off the signature sweater vest worn in the film by Matthew Broderick, who starred as the teenage slacker Ferris. The vest is featured in some of the movie's most memorable scenes: Ferris electrifying the Von Steuben Day Parade audience with his performance of 'Twist and Shout,' the gang taking in a Cubs game at Wrigley Field and the trio making a trip through the Art Institute of Chicago. ''There are few costumes in Hollywood history that are instantly recognizable and this is undeniably one of them,' Darren Rovell, Emmy Award winner and the vest's owner, said in a statement. Rovell said that the piece has been not only photo matched to the vest seen on screen, but also has been inspected by costume designer Marilyn Vance before being made available to the public. The film was Vance's fourth collaboration with John Hughes, the man behind the Chicagoland-set classics, 'The Breakfast Club' and 'Pretty in Pink.' As the entire film takes place over the course of one day, Vance wanted to ensure each lead had a costume that told viewers everything they needed to know about the characters in just one look. Early on, she decided Ferris should wear a sweater vest, as Vance felt it would quickly demonstrate his disregard for the conformist style rules of the adult world of the decade. Her search for the perfect vest eventually led her to a Chicago institution: Marshall Field's. There, she picked up an off-the-rack cardigan, trimmed its sleeves and created one of cinema's most iconic looks. The vest manages to be retro, weird and cool all at once — perfect for the vision both Vance and Hughes had of the character. 'Bueller's vest is emblematic of the character's most exciting quality,' Sotheby's said in the statement, 'the ability to blend in anywhere, while standing out just enough to get exactly what you want from the world around you.' As Ferris Bueller turns 30, Northbrook invites the world to sit and look at his favorite water towerThe winner of the auction will go home with more than just the costume. Three pieces of baseball memorabilia are included: the baseball Ferris catches at Wrigley Field and tickets from both baseball games featured onscreen (though the scene takes place over a single game, footage from two games was used in the final film). A pair of movie tickets from the film's original run are also included: one from a Showplace Cinema and one from a theater in Japan. The bidding for the vest opens today, June 5 — the day Ferris himself left the suburbs and headed downtown, celebrated across the country as Ferris Bueller Day — and doesn't close until June 24.
