Coronation Street confirms unexpected new love interest for Jenny
The former landlady of the Rovers is currently working at the Kabin, after being forced to give up the pub to Carla (Alison King). She and husband Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) took up the license of the pub in 2018. After Johnny's death in 2021, Jenny continued to be landlady and her stepdaughter Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) helped her run the business.
In 2023 Jenny and Daisy bought the pub from its owners using money they took from a secret bank account that killer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) had used to stash money stolen from Carla.
One of Stephen's victims was Jenny's former partner Leo Thompkins (Joe Frost). A lot of people disapproved of Jenny and Leo's age-gap romance but it was perfectly genuine on both sides, so Jenny was devastated when Leo mysteriously vanished and was later discovered to have been murdered by Stephen.
Jenny and Daisy's relationship turned sour prior to Daisy leaving Weatherfield. When she and her mum Christina (Amy Robbins) heard that Jenny planned to buy the pub from Carla using money inherited from Daisy's father, they vowed to destroy her.
Their plan involved setting up a fake dating profile of a man called Dom, who catfished Jenny and broke her heart once again.
So could the former landlady be due for some better luck in the romance department?
When a pipe bursts in the Kabin, Jenny is badly in need of a hero with a set of plumbing tools and some basic DIY knowledge to stop a catastrophic flood.

A hero humbly steps up, and it's none other than George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley). He gallantly and competently fixes Jenny's leak and she's thrilled by his manly prowess and offers to cook him dinner as a way of saying thank you. More Trending
George would seem to be the ideal man for Jenny. He's single since Eileen (Sue Cleaver) left for Thailand, has his own business and is always nicely turned out as befits Weatherfield's premier independent funeral director.
There's a problem, though. Jenny's gutted to learn that Glenda (Jodie Prenger) has set George up on a dating app – and he's already had some interest. Clearly Jenny has some competition.

Will Jenny decide George is worth fighting for? And how will George cope with being so much in demand?

Coronation Street fans 'rumble' who Floyd phoned about Lisa in 'Tia twist'
Coronation Street fans saw Lisa Swain's therapist Floyd making a 'suspicious' phone call about her after their session on the ITV soap, and fans think it's linked to Tia Wardley Therapist Floyd on Coronation Street may have some explaining to do after a "suspicious" phone call. Now, some fans think they have figured out who he was on the phone to in a cryptic chat after a therapy session with Lisa Swain. It could be a mystery new character if fans are correct, with viewers now suspecting Floyd could be corrupt. It comes as Carla Connor was snooping into the death of partner Lisa's ex-wife Becky Swain, who died in the line of duty years earlier. Lisa is also digging into the police officer's death, and she tearfully confessed to Floyd on Friday that she believed her wife may have been in trouble, amid continuing mystery surrounding what led to her death. As she confessed her fears, explaining that the Radcliffe brothers had implied there was more to what happened to her, she admitted her daughter Betsy Swain had visited one of them, Logan, for answers. But Floyd suggested to her the pair may just be trying to get to her. He asked her if she truly thought her wife was corrupt, or maybe Logan and Matty Radcliffe were lying because they had a grudge against her after their recent arrests. Lisa appeared to come around to the latter idea, while she admitted "you never truly know anyone". As the session ended, Floyd checked in with her and she said: "Maybe you're right," questioning if she'd "been kidding herself" as Floyd seemed keen for her not to believe Becky was corrupt. It's then as Lisa left the room that Floyd got his phone out and called a mystery person. He told the mystery caller: "I think I made a breakthrough with Swain." So was he calling someone to let them know Lisa may drop the Becky case? Was it Costello, who was seen on his phone after? Was it the person who later told a prisoner to attack Logan after his comments to Carla? Viewers even wondered if it was the mystery Tia Wardley, the name Logan gave to Carla. One fan said: "I think we were meant to believe Floyd was ringing Costello after Lisa's therapy session but what if it was this Tia Wardley??" Another fan said: "Costello." A third fan posted: "Floyd the therapist is compromised, he's part of the it! Costello sent him to shut Lisa down and stop her digging into Becky." Another viewer said: "Who was Floyd on the phone to - was it Costello?" Linda Carter's EastEnders return ‘sealed' as she's ‘joined by legend'
Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) may have only just made a temporary EastEnders departure, but there's guaranteed drama ahead upon her return. After the former pub landlady handed over the keys to her beloved Queen Vic to Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace), she decided to head on a cruise with her children ahead of a fresh start. After a morning of reflection, she knew that the bad times in the boozer outweighed the good times, and it was the right decision to move on. However, before she could put her troubles to one side, she had to address a looming threat that had just arrived in Albert Square – Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier)! He had no idea that he had another sibling living in the area, as his dad Max (Jake Wood) had fathered Linda's youngest daughter Annie in 2021. And it's not just Oscar who was unaware, as Max has been kept in the dark every since she was the born. Linda knew that she'd have to tell Oscar eventually, and squirmed when he said he would take great joy in watching his dad's face drop. Luckily, after some tough words from his sister Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa), he agreed to keep quiet. Jake's return as the notorious womaniser was officially confirmed earlier this month, with Executive Producer Ben Wadey teasing: 'Whilst his character has only been away from Albert Square for four years, Walford, and the lives of those who live in it, have changed immensely. 'Max has a lot of unfinished business, but whether he is welcomed by his family remains to be seen. 'However, with a past as checkered as Max's, it's fair to say that many Walford residents will not be pleased to see him, putting the Brannings back at the heart of the Square, and the drama, this year.' Max's whereabouts are largely unknown. It's been explicitly stated on a number of occasions that both Oscar and Laurenhave been estranged from him for quite some time. He initially departed for New Zealand, and the last we heard of Max, brother Jack (Scott Maslen) had visited him in France. He then fled to Croatia with granddaughter Abi Jr. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? The latest gossip from Emmerdale? We're not privy to the stop offs on Linda's cruise, but it's entirely plausible that she may have a run-in with a face from her past while sailing the seas. Could Max be enjoying a holiday with Abi Jr, when she makes an unexpected friend – Annie – in the kids club? More Trending Imagine the reaction if Linda came back to Walford with Max on her arm! Of course, there's always the chance that he might come back prior to her return, and her whereabouts are kept a closely guarded secret. We do know that Jake has reprised the role briefly, before a permanent stint later in the year. Whatever the outcome, it's bound to be dramatic. This is Walford after all. EastEnders' Lorraine Stanley used weight loss jabs to lose 6.5st but changed her mind
Lorraine Stanley, who played Karen Taylor in EastEnders, has opened up about her 6.5st weight loss EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley has become almost unrecognisable from her character Karen Taylor, the endearing yet perpetually scruffy mum she portrayed on the BBC soap from 2017 to 2024. The 49-year-old actress has shed an impressive six and a half stone over two years and next month will walk down the aisle after a two-year engagement to her fiancé Mark Perez, with whom she shares daughter, Nancy, nine. But transforming her body hasn't all been plain sailing. As well as expressing her excitement about her upcoming wedding, Lorraine has revealed the secrets behind her remarkable weight loss, which was aided by jabs. "I'm 50 next year and I'm feeling great," Lorraine told the Mirror. "I looked 20 years older when I was bigger. I certainly felt it anyway... I've lost 6½st. I weigh 8st now. "If you look at my little wrists and ankles, this is the weight I should have been. I should be a thin person. And I always was, until I hit my late twenties. "I'm not going to lie, nor am I promoting it, but I had weight-loss surgery two years ago. I had a gastric sleeve. I went to Harley Street. I didn't go to a clinic in Turkey or anything. "In saying that, I've had friends who've gone to Turkey and had great experiences, but I didn't trust that process. So, yeah, I went to a London clinic, paid an awful lot of money and had it done. "It's hands-down the best thing I've ever done – both for me and for my family." Lorraine said she was "missing out on so much" due to her size. She "so big" that she couldn't chase her daughter up the road or play football with her outside, until the weight loss surgery "changed everything". Lorraine said the "lightbulb moment" was when she was watching an episode of EastEnders she was in and she could "barely look at herself". "The person on screen was unrecognisable to me," she said, before explaining her experience with weight-loss injections. "I'd tried Wegovy before opting for surgery," the soap star admitted. "I have friends on different weight-loss jabs and they work for them. I'm not against them, but for whatever reason I feel like I got immune to them. "It got to the point where I was injecting myself and eating at the same time. I was thinking, 'What the hell are you doing?' So I decided that was it, time to get this surgery booked." Lorraine said she is "healthier, fitter, and [surgery has] changed her mindset for the better". "It has been hard, though," she noted. "You've got to work at your portions. You don't want to overeat as you can stretch the gastric band. And you don't want to do that as you've paid good money for it. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! "But for me – and this is totally personal – it's the best thing I could have done." On a potential return to EastEnders, she added: "Maybe – they didn't kill me off. But right now, I wouldn't. I'm enjoying Nancy. On EastEnders, I missed a lot of milestones. Now I'm like her personal taxi driver... I've gone for a few auditions. I haven't got anything yet, but I will. And if I don't, I don't mind that either. I'm so happy being a mum."
