Coronation Street fans 'rumble' who Floyd phoned about Lisa in 'Tia twist'

Daily Mirror21 hours ago
Coronation Street fans saw Lisa Swain's therapist Floyd making a 'suspicious' phone call about her after their session on the ITV soap, and fans think it's linked to Tia Wardley
Therapist Floyd on Coronation Street may have some explaining to do after a "suspicious" phone call.

Now, some fans think they have figured out who he was on the phone to in a cryptic chat after a therapy session with Lisa Swain. It could be a mystery new character if fans are correct, with viewers now suspecting Floyd could be corrupt.

It comes as Carla Connor was snooping into the death of partner Lisa's ex-wife Becky Swain, who died in the line of duty years earlier. Lisa is also digging into the police officer's death, and she tearfully confessed to Floyd on Friday that she believed her wife may have been in trouble, amid continuing mystery surrounding what led to her death.

As she confessed her fears, explaining that the Radcliffe brothers had implied there was more to what happened to her, she admitted her daughter Betsy Swain had visited one of them, Logan, for answers. But Floyd suggested to her the pair may just be trying to get to her.
He asked her if she truly thought her wife was corrupt, or maybe Logan and Matty Radcliffe were lying because they had a grudge against her after their recent arrests. Lisa appeared to come around to the latter idea, while she admitted "you never truly know anyone".

As the session ended, Floyd checked in with her and she said: "Maybe you're right," questioning if she'd "been kidding herself" as Floyd seemed keen for her not to believe Becky was corrupt. It's then as Lisa left the room that Floyd got his phone out and called a mystery person.
He told the mystery caller: "I think I made a breakthrough with Swain." So was he calling someone to let them know Lisa may drop the Becky case?

Was it Costello, who was seen on his phone after? Was it the person who later told a prisoner to attack Logan after his comments to Carla? Viewers even wondered if it was the mystery Tia Wardley, the name Logan gave to Carla.
One fan said: "I think we were meant to believe Floyd was ringing Costello after Lisa's therapy session but what if it was this Tia Wardley??" Another fan said: "Costello."
A third fan posted: "Floyd the therapist is compromised, he's part of the it! Costello sent him to shut Lisa down and stop her digging into Becky." Another viewer said: "Who was Floyd on the phone to - was it Costello?"

ITV Coronation Street fans 'work out' who has Logan 'killed' after brutal exit

Viewers think they know what really happened to Logan Radcliffe and who had him 'attacked' amid speculation he's been killed off after his exit aired On Friday's episode of Coronation Street, fears for Logan's life mounted after he appeared to be attacked following a revealing conversation with Carla Connor during a prison visit. ‌ The villain seemed to have divulged too much information to Carla, and shortly after a fellow inmate cautioned him about being overly talkative. A visibly shaken Logan protested his innocence as the cell door shut, hinting at an imminent assault. ‌ It comes as actor Harry Lowbridge announced his departure from the ITV soap, having wrapped filming his final scenes. This led viewers to speculate that Logan had met a grim fate in the cell, possibly orchestrated by someone wanting to silence him after his mention of a mysterious figure named Tia Wardley. ‌ Carla had been seeking clarity on the circumstances surrounding her partner Lisa Swain 's late wife Becky Swain's death. Lisa found herself unable to move on, plagued by uncertainties regarding Becky's troubles prior to her death and the reasons behind her fatal hit and run. During her visit to extract details from Logan about Becky, he demanded £10,000 in exchange for potential information. In the process he inadvertently mentioned Tia Wardley, though no further explanation was provided about their identity or connection to Becky, as reported by the Mirror. ‌ The mention of Wardley was enough to put Logan in hot water with a cellmate who shared a "mutual friend" they had both apparently angered, suggesting Logan needed to be permanently silenced. Following the cliffhanger, Harry confirmed his Corrie exit to his Instagram followers. This led fans to believe that Logan had met his demise and to speculation about who the mutual acquaintance is, and how they connect to the Becky storyline. ‌ Some predict a plot twist, suggesting that the individual behind Logan's demise could be none other than previous show antagonist Harvey Gaskell. Some suspect it's DI Costello or even Lisa's therapist Floyd, as they are eager for Lisa to cease her investigation into Becky's fate. Lisa herself was also suggested as a potential suspect, while both Becky and Tia were hinted by viewers to be the "mutual friend". ‌ One fan took to social media to declare: "Lisa definitely had Logan killed in prison." Another viewer speculated: "So that mutual friend? Costello? Kit? Tia? Or Becky herself?" A third chimed in: "Best guess at the moment is Costello or Floyd." Someone further added: "Was the killer sent by Costello?" while another queried: "Harvey?" Another comment read: "It's either Costello or Kit got Logan attacked inside."

Residents mystified by naked ‘gimp mask' night stalker

Locals in Lytham, on Lancashire's Fylde coast, say the shadowy visitor has left lace curtains twitching with the identity of the mystery streaker wearing a bondage hood the talk of the town. He was first spotted after being captured on a car dashcam on Westby Street, in the heart of the Victorian resort, at just before 1am on Friday July 18. Locals say the clip was then shared on the street's WhatsApp group and more footage from the night was revealed, which was posted on Facebook and has now gone viral. The clips show a young man, calmly striding down the street, naked but for his trainers and black mask. 'It's a gimp mask, I've watched the footage,' said one resident, who did not want to be named. 'I've no idea what he thinks he's doing,' he added. 'In the days after, we saw a young man, fully clothed, walking around the streets, looking up and around, seemingly checking for cameras. 'We think it's the same man.' The resident, who was stood alongside his wife, said he knew of no 'alternative lifestyle' establishments locally which may provide a clue to the mystery. Locals also said Lytham, unlike its close neighbour Blackpool, does not get stag and hen parties visiting the town. Lancashire Police said the incident took place on Westby Street, Cleveland Road and Bannister Street. A spokesman said: 'We are aware of a concerning video circulating on social media of a naked male wearing a face covering walking around Lytham in the early hours of the morning. 'This incident was not initially reported to police and has only been brought to our attention after it has been viewed on Facebook. 'Fylde Rural Task Force are currently conducting CCTV and house‑to‑house inquiries and would like to reassure you that we are taking this matter seriously.' Woman, 64, left bloodied after being hit by sign during far-right protest in Edinburgh

The 64-year-old was part of a group from Stand Up to Racism who had gathered in the city's Meadows on Friday, August 1. An elderly woman was rushed to hospital after she was hit by a placard and left bloodied during a far-right protest in Edinburgh. ‌ The 64-year-old was part of a group from Stand Up to Racism who had gathered in the city's Meadows on Friday, August 1. ‌ They claimed the Great British National Strike was 'threatening intimidation'. In a clip shared by Stand up To Racism, an individual can be seen throwing a placard. It's understood that the woman, who was out of the frame, was hit by the sign and left with blood pouring down her face, Edinburgh Live reports. ‌ An image following the video reportedly shows the woman bleeding from the head, while police officers stand round her. According to the Stand up to Racism group, 250 of their members were at the gathering which saw several of them make speeches before the opposing group 'disappeared up a side street'. Police are now probing the assault on Hope Park Avenue at around 9.20pm on August 1. The Great British National Strike was formed by Richard Donaldson. He previously explained his group, stating: "This is a movement about unity. We are the Great British National Strike, and it is a protest. ‌ "We stand against illegal immigration, net zero, inheritance tax and the attacks on our farmers, the attacks on our most vulnerable, the lack of inquiry into rape gangs and the attacks on free speech and two-tier justice." Opposing the group, Stand up to Racism said: "We are seeing the far-right returning to the streets of Scotland, following violent racist protests outside hotels housing asylum seekers. ‌ "This anti-refugee sentiment has sadly been whipped up by Starmer's 'Island of strangers' speech and the scapegoating rhetoric of far-right Reform UK. After a 250-strong rally that involved speakers from a wide spectrum of the left, anti-racists blocked the fascists from assembling, and eventually the 'master race' was forced to disappear up a side street." Councillor Katrina Faccenda, of Leith, commented: "I was proud to stand with the many counter protestors who came on Friday to stand up to the far right. ‌ "The level of aggression from the so-called Scottish patriots was shocking and in my opinion merited dispersal. There can be no equivalence between the lively behaviour of the counter-protest organised by SUTR and the threatening behaviour I witnessed on the other side which culminated in a head injury of an older woman due to an aggressively thrown placard. "I urge everyone to give short shrift to these opportunists who are trying to take advantage of the difficult times many are facing in Edinburgh - this is not the fault of migrants or refugees but of a system which continues to put profit above people and politicians who are failing to deliver the radical policies needed to change this broken system." A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'Around 9.20pm on Friday, 1 August, 2025, we received a report of an assault at a protest on Hope Park Avenue, Edinburgh, 'Officers were in attendance, and a 64-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing."
