ITV Coronation Street fans 'work out' who has Logan 'killed' after brutal exit
On Friday's episode of Coronation Street, fears for Logan's life mounted after he appeared to be attacked following a revealing conversation with Carla Connor during a prison visit.
The villain seemed to have divulged too much information to Carla, and shortly after a fellow inmate cautioned him about being overly talkative. A visibly shaken Logan protested his innocence as the cell door shut, hinting at an imminent assault.
It comes as actor Harry Lowbridge announced his departure from the ITV soap, having wrapped filming his final scenes. This led viewers to speculate that Logan had met a grim fate in the cell, possibly orchestrated by someone wanting to silence him after his mention of a mysterious figure named Tia Wardley.
Carla had been seeking clarity on the circumstances surrounding her partner Lisa Swain 's late wife Becky Swain's death. Lisa found herself unable to move on, plagued by uncertainties regarding Becky's troubles prior to her death and the reasons behind her fatal hit and run.
During her visit to extract details from Logan about Becky, he demanded £10,000 in exchange for potential information. In the process he inadvertently mentioned Tia Wardley, though no further explanation was provided about their identity or connection to Becky, as reported by the Mirror.
The mention of Wardley was enough to put Logan in hot water with a cellmate who shared a "mutual friend" they had both apparently angered, suggesting Logan needed to be permanently silenced.
Following the cliffhanger, Harry confirmed his Corrie exit to his Instagram followers.
This led fans to believe that Logan had met his demise and to speculation about who the mutual acquaintance is, and how they connect to the Becky storyline.
Some predict a plot twist, suggesting that the individual behind Logan's demise could be none other than previous show antagonist Harvey Gaskell.
Some suspect it's DI Costello or even Lisa's therapist Floyd, as they are eager for Lisa to cease her investigation into Becky's fate. Lisa herself was also suggested as a potential suspect, while both Becky and Tia were hinted by viewers to be the "mutual friend".
One fan took to social media to declare: "Lisa definitely had Logan killed in prison." Another viewer speculated: "So that mutual friend? Costello? Kit? Tia? Or Becky herself?" A third chimed in: "Best guess at the moment is Costello or Floyd."
Someone further added: "Was the killer sent by Costello?" while another queried: "Harvey?" Another comment read: "It's either Costello or Kit got Logan attacked inside."

‘We lost £250,000 minutes into new ITV show – but we can't complain'
Warning: spoilers ahead for the first episode of The Fortune Hotel series 2. It's never ideal being the first contestants to be eliminated on a primetime gameshow. However, that's the reality that friends and cleaning business partners Chelsey and Briony faced when they embarked on the adventure of competing in ITV's The Fortune Hotel series 2. The second season of the show, which is hosted by Stephen Mangan, launched tonight, with 11 pairs making their way to a hotel in the Caribbean with the aim of checking in and getting their hands on a briefcase containing a £250,000 fortune. Sadly, Chelsey and Briony were eliminated before they even had the chance to enter the hotel, as other players were quicker to figure out a cryptic crossword that informed them where they needed to go. Thankfully, they're still in good spirits about the experience. 'It weren't all bad. We can't really complain. We had an all-inclusive holiday in an absolutely stunning place that not many people would see with your best friend. We got to do things on the island,' Chelsey, who was 34 at the time of filming, tells Metro. 'It was surreal, once in a lifetime.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Briony, who was 33 at the time of filming, adds: 'We went river tubing. Then we went visiting waterfalls, and the sea… The experience looking back on it was fantastic.' At the start of episode one, the competing pairs have to fill out a crossword that, when solved, tells them that they need to head to the reception desk of the hotel. The first batch of couples who reach the correct answer and get to the hotel are safe to scheme another day – but the others are all at risk of being eliminated right away. They each choose a briefcase to open, one of which contains the devastating 'early checkout card'. Briony and Chelsey decided to select briefcase number two, as it's both their favourite number. Unfortunately, they had selected the poisoned chalice. 'Unfortunately, our lucky number just wasn't lucky,' Briony quips. Even though the friends were in the show for a very short amount of time, they still left a big impression with their energetic personalities, racing towards Stephen on the beach after they arrived by boat. Host Stephen Mangan gives Metro the lowdown on what to expect in The Fortune Hotel series two… which he promises will have even more shocks than before. 'It was exciting the first time around because it was a show that had never been done before,' Stephen tells us about the first series. 'Sometimes these shows are formats that they've tried in other countries and have been a hit, so they know how they work. But we were inventing a brand new game, which is exciting and terrifying at the same time.' So what's in store for the second outing? 'More surprises, more challenges, more epic things happening,' he promises. The host adds that if he were a player on the game, he'd be more 'ruthless' than fans might expect. To read more from our interview, click here. Before competing in the new series, Briony had already seen the first, and 'absolutely loved it'. Just like many other viewers, she watched the show assuming that it was a pretty straightforward game set in an idyllic paradise – but getting to grips with the show firsthand made both of the women realise how much harder it actually is. More Trending 'When you're in it, and you have got 101 things going on around you, it's so hard. It's a different ballgame completely,' she says, as Chelsey adds: 'It's not what we expected at all, but we loved every minute of it.' The women from Wigan would be up for returning if there was an all-stars edition, especially as they felt as though they didn't really get a chance to show themselves off fully. 'People tell us all the time we're funny,' Chelsey remarks. 'We're such a little act together, we bounce off each other, and we feel like we didn't have the time to really show that. Mel B shares emotional birthday message to Geri Halliwell despite wedding snub
Spice Girls icon Mel B took to social media to wish her pal Geri Halliwell a happy birthday after the latter missed her London wedding to Rory McPhee back in July Mel B shared a sweet message to fellow Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell, on her birthday after Ginger Spice was unable to attend the star's recent wedding in London. Scary Spice tied the knot with long-term partner, Rory McPhee, at an intimate ceremony at St. Paul's Cathedral in London last month. While fans were eager to spot fellow Spice Girls in attendance, only Emma Bunton was photographed at the event. Geri was noticeably absent as Mel tied the knot with Rory. Geri also chose not to post any well-wishes to Mel B on social media at the time, adding further fuel to the fire on their rift. And now, weeks after her nuptials, Mel quashed rumours of a feud as she wished Geri a happy birthday on social media. It comes after Mel B's 'spiritual' Moroccan wedding with non traditional dress. Along with a throwback photo of the two leaving an event, Mel B wrote: "Happy birthday ginge!" along with a few partying face emojis. In the picture, Ginger Spice threw up peace signs and smiled at the camera and Mel looked stunning as she also smiled for the cameras. Emma shared a few snaps onto her page, including one from a music video shoot, a selfie and a gorgeous wedding picture. She wrote: "Happy Birthday to my beautiful friend @gerihalliwellhorner! Love you to bits. Have the most gorgeous day." Posh Spice opted for a post on her Stories and said: "Happy birthday @gerihalliwellhorner!! Kisses @emmaleebunton xx," as she posted a recent snap of the three at a party. Mel C joined in on the birthday wishes and posted a carousel of throwback and recent pictures of the group, writing: "Happy Birthday darling @gerihalliwellhorner, our Ginger Spice. Have an amazing day, love you to pieces." There had been rumours of a feud, with it being said that Geri was offended by Mel B after the singer claimed the pair slept together while the Spice Girls were still topping the charts. And when the Look At Me star swerved Scary's nuptials in July, fans were convinced things were still awkward between the pair. While Emma attended Mel's wedding in London last month, neither Geri, Victoria or Mel C showed their face. Victoria and Mel C sent their apologies, saying they had a prior engagement, which they couldn't get out of. However, Geri stayed silent. But, a source said to the Mirror that there was no feud between the Friendship Never Ends stars, adding that Geri, Mel C and Victoria simply had other commitments. "There's no snub, the girls are all on friendly terms with one another, but it's no secret that Geri is busy with Christian at Formula One and Victoria is extremely busy with her fashion brand," they said.

The Fortune Hotel fans speechless after major season two twist they 'never saw coming'
The Fortune Hotel returned to ITV on Wednesday night with a shocking twist. The Fortune Hotel fans were left speechless after a major season two twist they "never saw coming". Hosted by Stephen Mangan, the second series sees 22 new contestants arrive at the hotel in pairs. They'll each be handed a mysterious briefcase. Most are empty, while one hides a life-changing £250,000 in cash, and another conceals the dreaded early checkout card. At the start of the new season, which premiered on Wednesday night (August 6), the holidaymakers landed at Grenada airport, where they were greeted by Stephen. However, their excitement was soon dampened when the host revealed that one pair wouldn't be making it into the hotel. "Your first challenge is to find a room key and make it to the hotel. But there are eleven pairs here and there only ten rooms available at The Fortune Hotel," Stephen explained. "Only the first five pairs to arrive at the hotel will be guaranteed a room. If you're among the bottom six pairs, then you will be in danger because one of those pairs will be heading home." The pairs were then escorted to the port, where they were tasked with unlocking their room key by completing a crossword. After successfully making it to the hotel, the top five pairs chose their suitcases, with Jake and Mike secretly picking the £250,000. Meanwhile, the bottom six pairs had to carefully avoid choosing a suitcase with an early checkout card inside. At the end of the tense challenge, best friends Briony and Chelsey picked the unlucky suitcase, and were immediately sent home before even checking in to the hotel. Another pair will also be sent packing after they receive the next early checkout card, but they haven't been revealed just yet. After watching the season two premiere, several viewers quickly took to social media to share their surprise at the early elimination twist. "Someone getting eliminated before it starts? Well I never saw that coming," one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another added: "So much for ITV budget cuts flying 11 couples to the Caribbean only to fly one pair home back on day 1." While a third said: "Wow harsh start to the show I love it." A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: "With only 10 rooms available, one couple's time in paradise will end almost as soon as it has begun. Talking about overbooking." Meanwhile, another viewer shared their suspicions that Briony and Chelsey could return, saying: "I'm guessing that Chelsey and Briony will get some kind of reprieve later in the series."
