Edinburgh singer Shirley Manson has said she 'doesn't care' if she gets cancelled.
The 58-year-old artist, who is never shy with her opinions, said she'd 'rather be true to who she is'. This comes after her eighth album Let All That We Imagine Be The Light was released on Friday, May 30.
Manson, who lives in LA with her husband, said it was 'heavenly to get away from the madness' as she came to London amid the release of her album.
She told NME magazine: "If you cancel me, you cancel me. I've had a f***ing great career. I really don't f***ing care.
"If you cancel us, I'll feel guilty that I've messed s**t up for my band, but I'd much rather be true to who I am as a human being, how I was raised by a family I'm very proud of."

Speaking on her latest album, and the motivations behind it, she said: "I've never really written about love very much. I always think it's been written about by people a thousand more talented than me.
"I'm just not a romantic person, really. After my mum died and then Veela [Manson's dog], I realised I had to touch love somewhere, somehow.

"I've got an amazing marriage and I love my husband so much, but I also realised that in order to move on through a different passage in my life I had to reach out to find all the different types of love: the world, nature, the ocean, friends, my bandmates, my family.
"I want to ignite that love. Like a torch when the world feels dark, I need to find all the hands that I can hold. My go-to is usually indignance, so I realised I had to come at things from a different perspective this time around or I would drown in my own negativity."

More info A BBC EastEnders star is set to take her one-woman show to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer. Speaking on This Morning, Michelle Collins who plays Cindy Beale in the popular soap, said "she knows she is crazy" for performing at the festival. The 63-year-old actress admitted she always wanted to go to the Fringe but the opportunity never happened. Now she is set to be in the capital from July 30 to August 25 as she makes her debut in 'Motorhome Marilyn'. Speaking on the ITV daytime show, Michelle said: "BBC have kindly given me one month off to do the Edinburgh festival and I have never done it. "I always wanted to go and it didn't happen and then this opportunity came up. It's a play called Motorhome Marilyn. "I met this woman who was dressed as Marilyn and she was my kind of age and she was driving a motorhome in LA by the Chinese Theatre. "I was really intrigued by this woman. How did she get to this place? Who is she? "I never saw her again and then I wrote a play about her. I know I am crazy, I am mad. Don't worry because if you don't like Cindy it doesn't matter because I am not Cindy, I am playing someone else." BBC Radio Scotland presenter to take time off after he was diagnosed with 'incredibly rare' cancer

More info A BBC Radio Scotland presenter has announced he will be taking a break from his show after he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Bryan Burnett made an emotional announcement to his Get it On audience on Thursday, June 5, letting his audience know that he needs treatment for appendiceal cancer- which was discovered after having his appendix taken out earlier this year. The 59-year-old reassured that, although his cancer is "incredibly rare", it is expected he will make a full recovery following complex abdominal surgery and chemotherapy, reports The Daily Record. He said: "I've experienced the most incredible care and kindness from the NHS staff who have been looking after me. My surgeon is a Get it On listener so I know I'm in good hands. He added: "I want to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all my brilliant producers for all the hand holding and all the encouragement they've given me since they found out my news. "I'm sure they'll let you know how I'm doing over the next few weeks". His fellow BBC presenter, Grant Stott, is set to cover for him during his time off. Edinburgh man's touching tribute for best pal after his unexpected death at 38

More info An Edinburgh man is gearing up to take on a gruelling charity in memory of his friend who passed away almost seven-months-ago. Joseph Coghill, 40, from Morningside will be embarking on a 200-mile walk to raise funds for charities close to his late friends heart - DJ Jackmaster. Jack Revill was in an Ibiza hospital for two days before his death at the age of 38 back in October. He suffered an accidental head injury, with his family sharing an emotional post on Instagram. Seven months later, Joseph described Jack as a man with a 'heart of gold who would do anything to help anyone'. He has managed to reach his fundraising target and is looking forward to getting started. In 2022, Jack completed the Edinburgh Half Marathon - raising funds for We Are With You - an organisation that helps people affected by drugs, alcohol and mental health problems, as well as Endometriosis UK. Now, Joseph will be raising funds for the same charities in his honour. Embarking on the journey on June 12, the 40-year-old has gone sober and gave up drugs and alcohol after his friends death. Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Joseph said: "Jack was a huge part of my self-belief and my career. When I met him, I was working in Glasgow and jack knew he was always going to be a DJ - he had the confidence, the swagger and the full package really. "It's been around seven months since he died and it's awfully sad what happened. I am actually sober - I don't drink or do drugs anymore since he died. I still have a sense of anxiety and sadness but I am trying to use that energy to do something positive. "I am just trying to remember his life and not focus too much on the negative things. He was so fun and charming - he had a real heart of gold. "He was so generous and if you needed something he would always be there to help you." He added: "I am so happy that I have been able to raise a substantial amount of money - I am still fundraising because I haven't left yet.
