Rockets announce complete schedule for 2025-26 NBA season

USA Todaya day ago
The Rockets have 28 nationally televised games, including four on ABC; seven on Amazon Prime; six on ESPN; seven on NBC; and four on Peacock.
On Thursday, the Rockets announced their schedule for the 2025-26 regular season, which is the franchise's 59th in the NBA and its 55th in Houston.
The Rockets finished last season with a record of 52-30, second-best in the Western Conference. Dating back to 2004-05, Houston has recorded 10 seasons with 50 or more wins, which is tied for the second-most by any team during that span.
Individual tickets for select games are available now at Rockets.com, while membership presales for all games will begin on Aug. 18 before opening to the general public on Aug. 19. Full and partial memberships are available at Rockets.com or by calling (713) 758-7300.
The Rockets have 28 nationally televised games (four on ABC; seven on Amazon Prime; six on ESPN; seven on NBC; and four on Peacock), and 15 of those are exclusively national broadcasts.
That list of exclusives includes an opening-night matchup at the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder (Oct. 21, NBC) and a Christmas night game at the Los Angeles Lakers (Dec. 25, ABC). The last time the Rockets played on the NBA's opening night was for the 2017-18, season and their last appearance on Christmas was in 2019.
The Rockets' local broadcast partner, Space City Home Network, will air Houston's entire preseason schedule along with all regular-season games that are not exclusive to national TV. Each game will also be available on the team's radio broadcast home, SportsTalk 790 KBME and NewsRadio 740 KTRH, as well as in Spanish on TUDN 93.3 FM.
Kevin Durant, a 15-time NBA All-Star, is slated to make his home debut as a Rocket Friday, Oct. 24, versus Detroit. Six of Houston's first nine games are on the road before beginning a three-game homestand from Nov. 12-16.
Early home game highlights at Toyota Center will include a Nov. 3 matchup versus rookie Cooper Flagg and Dallas; a Nov. 21 NBA Cup showdown against Denver and perennial Most Valuable Player (MVP) frontrunner Nikola Jokić; and a Dec. 5 matchup versus Phoenix that features the returns of Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green. Both were traded to the Suns in the deal that brought Durant to Houston.
The Emirates NBA Cup returns this season, with the Rockets placed in West Group C. In 2024, Houston won its group and advanced to the semifinals.
This season's group-play schedule consists of games at San Antonio on Nov. 7; versus Portland on Nov. 14; versus Denver on Nov. 21; and at Golden State on Nov. 26. The knockout rounds will begin on Dec. 9, with the semifinals and championship game once again taking place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. More information on the format is available here.
Not including the outcome of Emirates NBA Cup, the Rockets are scheduled to play 16 of 22 games on the road from Nov. 19 through Jan. 11. Of Houston's final 46 games, 28 are at Toyota Center, including six of eight to close out the regular season.
The Rockets have 14 sets of back-to-back games this season, down from a league-high total of 16 in 2024-25. Eight of those sets are without travel, including seven with both games at Toyota Center.
Houston's longest homestands are two five-game stretches from Jan. 13-20 and from March 13-21. The Rockets have three road trips of at least four games this season, including four from Nov. 24-Dec. 1; five from Dec. 18-25; and four from March 23-29.
The complete schedule can be viewed here or in the image below.

Where to watch Premier League: Live stream 2025-2026 EPL matches from anywhere

The Premier League returns for the 2025 to 2026 season, and matches are available to stream around the globe. We've compiled everything you need to know about where to watch the Premier League, including live streaming options for those without cable. Liverpool were victorious in the Premier League last season, nabbing their second-ever EPL title following their 2019-2020 season win. The win broke up Manchester City's stronghold on the league, which saw them dominate from 2017-2024, only losing in the 2019-2020 season to — you guessed it — Liverpool. The 2025-2026 season will help prove whether Man City is truly down and out or if Liverpool (or another team altogether) can rise to the top again. Streaming options are available worldwide, including in the UK and the US. Keep reading to learn about some of the best watch options and recommendations for a few of our favorite streaming services. Where to watch Premier League in the US US coverage of the Premier League will air through various NBCUniversal properties, including NBC, the USA Network, and Peacock. The majority of the action will be available to live stream on Peacock, where plans start at $11 a month or $110 a year, although some games (like the August 15 kickoff) will be missing. Cord-cutters who still want to tune into matches that aren't on Peacock or those seeking a more comprehensive live TV streaming experience can check out month-to-month services like DirecTV, Sling TV, or Fubo. DirecTV's MySports package carries USA, NBC, and around 20 other popular live sports channels, including TNT and ESPN. The pack also comes with access to ESPN Plus. Subscriptions cost $70 a month, but new customers can get a five-day free trial. Local channels like NBC occasionally have some regional variability, so it's a good idea to check the exact channel lineup available to you before subscribing. Sling TV carries USA, NBC, and 40+ other channels in its Blue plan. Subscriptions cost $46 a month (or $51, depending on your location in the US). You can also try getting one of Sling's new season passes for $199, which spans five months and saves you about $31 when you prepay. Local channels vary by region, so you should check your ZIP code on the Sling website to ensure you can access networks like NBC. Fubo also carries NBC and USA in both its Pro and Elite plans. The Pro plan costs $85 a month and includes access to more than 200 channels. New users can get $30 off their first month of service after a five-day free trial. Where to watch Premier League in the UK The bulk of the Premier League matches will be available through Sky Sports in the UK. Prices vary depending on which plan and contract length you sign up for, and you can learn more in our guide to the best Sky TV deals and plans. Sky Sports is also available to stream through Now. Additional matches will air on TNT Sports, which fans can live stream on Discovery Plus for £31 a month. Where to watch Premier League in Canada Fubo is the must-have streaming home of the Premier League in Canada. The live TV streaming service has two tiers: Sports Basic and Sports. Sports Basic will get you 200+ Premier League matches, while Sports proper has all matches. Both tiers also include access to loads of other sports. Basic costs $20 a month, but you can ultimately get a cheaper subscription if you pay quarterly or annually. The same goes for the regular Sports plan, which costs $31.50 a month on its own but is cheaper monthly if you sign up for a longer-term plan. Right now, customers can get their first month of Sports for just $27. How to watch Premier League from anywhere Football fans traveling abroad can keep up with their usual streaming services from anywhere with the help of a VPN, or virtual private network. VPNs allow people to change their device's virtual location. This way, their go-to websites and apps work from anywhere in the world, so they don't need to worry about missing out on their favorite programming while traveling. Plus, they're instant ways to boost online security. Our No. 1 recommendation is NordVPN, a top-notch VPN with a 30-day money-back guarantee. It's chock-full of cybersecurity perks and has a few savings opportunities with long-term contracts, but customers can also just subscribe month-to-month. To learn more, you can read our official NordVPN review. How to use a VPN Sign up for a VPN if you don't already have one. Install it on the device you're planning to watch on. Turn it on and set it to the location of your streaming service. Navigate to your streaming service and create an account. Enjoy the matches. Note: The use of VPNs is illegal in certain countries, and using VPNs to access region-locked streaming content might constitute a breach of the terms of use for certain services. Business Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal use of VPNs.

NBA's new TV deal: What it means for Spurs fans

The NBA released the 2025–26 schedule Thursday — and the Spurs landed 22 nationally televised games, including Opening Week and Christmas Day slots. Why it matters: This is the debut season of the NBA's new 11-year media rights deal with NBCUniversal, Amazon and ESPN, which reshuffles who shows what and when. It also marks the end of "NBA on TNT" after 36 seasons. By the numbers: The Knicks, Thunder and Lakers top the league with 34 nationally televised or streamed games each. In Texas, the Rockets (28) and Mavericks (23) each have more national matchups than the Spurs, according to Front Office Sports. State of play: The Spurs have two marquee matchups. Opening Week vs. standout rookie Cooper Flagg and the Mavericks on Oct 22 (ESPN). Christmas Day vs. the Thunder (ABC and ESPN) — one of the league's most coveted regular-season slots. How it works: The nationally televised schedule varies by day of the week. Mondays: Peacock Tuesdays: NBC/Peacock Wednesdays: ESPN Thursdays: Prime Fridays: Prime and ESPN Saturdays: Prime (afternoon games) and ABC/ESPN App (night games) What they're saying: Fans are still figuring out the changes.
