Elko delivers RBI single in the 10th to help White Sox beat AL-leading Tigers 3-2
CHICAGO (AP) — Tim Elko singled and scored pinch runner Korey Lee in the 10th inning to give the Chicago White Sox a 3-2, walk-off win over the American League-leading Detroit Tigers on Thursday.
With the win, Chicago split the four-game series. The Tigers had swept the White Sox in April in the first of four series between the teams this season.
Rookie infielder Chase Meidroth went 2 for 2 with three walks and an RBI for the White Sox. Josh Rojas was 3 for 4 with a run scored.
Reliever Steven Wilson (2-1, 1.89 ERA) worked a scoreless 10th inning for the win, stranding two baserunners. Beau Brieske (1-3, 4.57) took the loss, allowing a hit and a walk while getting just one out in the 10th.
Casey Mize worked 4 2/3 innings for the Tigers, allowing two earned runs, six hits and four walks. In the fourth, the White Sox took the early lead on a sacrifice fly by Mike Tauchman and an RBI single from Meidroth.
Chicago's Sean Burke had the longest outing of his young career, striking out five in seven innings. The 25-year-old kept Detroit scoreless through six before allowing a solo homer to Wenceel Pérez and an RBI single to Dillon Dingler that tied the game at 2 in the seventh.

Brieske intentionally walked Andrew Benintendi to begin the 10th inning, then a sacrifice bunt put both runners in scoring position. Elko delivered a ground ball into left field for the win.

Louisville makes 6th CWS with 3-2 win over Miami on King's RBI double in 7th
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Eddie King Jr. doubled in the winning run in the seventh inning to lift Louisville to a 3-2 win over Miami on Sunday, advancing the Cardinals to their sixth College World Series. King's clutch hit came after Jake Munroe's two-out single and a wild pitch. Neither team was among the top 16 seeds, but the Cardinals (39-21) were the surprise winners of the Nashville Regional hosted by overall No. 1 seed Vanderbilt and Miami won Southern Mississippi's Hattiesburg Regional. Louisville will face the Oregon State-Florida State winner in Omaha, Nebraska, later this week. Miami (34-26) was hoping for its 26th CWS appearance. Miami took the lead on Max Galvin's two-run homer in the third. The Cardinals got those back in the fourth on an RBI double by Zion Rose and a fielder's choice. Miami starter Ethan Eberle went five innings, allowing six hits. Jake Schweitzer (4-2) gave up two hits and two walks in three innings. Justin West got two outs in the ninth but also walked two before Brennyn Cutts got a flyout for his second save. ‘The Expanse' Does a ‘Mass Effect' With New Game ‘Osiris Reborn'
Prime Video's The Expanse ended a few years ago, but the sci-fi franchise hasn't completely gone away. During Saturday's Future Games Show, viewers were treated to the reveal of Osiris Reborn, a new video game. Developed by Owlcat Games and set during the show's first two and a half seasons (and featuring some returning cast members reprising their TV roles), Osiris puts players in the boots of a Pinkwater mercenary enjoying shore leave on Eros Station. After things go to hell, the merc gets caught up takes a ship and puts a team together to uncover a system-wide conspiracy. Your merc, or the Captain, has three backgrounds to choose from (Earther, Martian, or Belter), different abilities depending on their class, and is playable in a third-person perspective while issuing squad commands to two teammates in combat. Sound familiar? Yeah, Osiris Reborn sounds pretty Mass Effect, something design producer Yuliya Chernenko admitted in an IGN interview. Much of the Owlcat team first played BioWare's RPG franchise when they were young, and it 'left a lasting impression. We're building on that legacy and expanding what players on what players anticipate from this experience.' Despite the comparisons, creative director Alexander Mishulin went on to stress this would be would be an Owlcat title through and through, with 'more choices and…more focused on a modern approach where you can make your own playstyle, make your own experience through the game.' He considers The Expense a 'perfect universe' to bring the studio's ideas for a sci-fi action-RPG to life, calling its world 'grounded in realism and complexity, perfect for telling a story how we like — mature and character-driven, where your choices truly matter.'
