Rapper Badshah says ‘Ami apnar chele Badshah' as he speaks Bangla in new video, ‘shocked' netizens react
In the video, Badshah said, 'Hi, ami Badshah and ami ashchi USA e amar Unfinished Tour niye. Ei bochor aro boro ar fatafati hote choleche. Ami apnar chele Badshah. Tar jonno joldi apna der tickets niye nin(Hi, it's Badshah and I am coming to USA with my Unfinished Tour. This year it's going to be bigger and better. I am your boy Badshah. Go get your tickets now).'
'Emon party korar jonne toiri thakhun jeita apnara age kokhuno dekheni. Joldi dekha hoche (get ready to party like never before. See you soon),' he signed off.
Sharing the video, his post read: 'Can I speak Bengali/Bangla? USA READY?'
Soon after he posted the video, many were shocked to see Badhshah speaking in Bangla. Many appreciated him for trying to speak in Bangla.
Vishal Dadlani commented, 'Ayyy Badshahmoshai!'
A user took to the comment section and wrote, 'Sir u rock and everyone shocked (sic).'
'No way.. good try (sic),' added another user.
One more said, 'I was waiting for 'Ami kharap chhele badshah (I am a bad boy Badshah)' but overall 8.5/10 (sic).' 'Appreciate it bhai,' someone else said.
Yet another jokingly commented, 'Bhai aap rehne do (let it be brother).'
Badshah is all set to kick off his Un-Finished Tour in the US. During his tour, he is said to perform in six major cities, starting from September 5 in Virginia, September 6 in New Jersey, September 13 in San Francisco, September 14 in Seattle, September 19 in Dallas, and concluding in Chicago on September 20, 2025.
His tour recently landed in trouble for being allegedly sponsored by a company owned and operated by Pakistani nationals.
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had issued a letter to Badshah, seeking clarification about his tour in the matter.
The tour is said to be a continuation of Badshah's last year show in the US which was stopped midway.

Kolkata: The new rule of slotting at least one prime-time show, between 3 pm and 9 pm, to a Bengali film at all screens in the state will have to be implemented from Friday. While the move will ensure lesser-known Bengali films secure programming slots, show allocations may get complicated as many Bengali producers and distributors avoid state-wide releases or do not give films to all theatres. Almost all theatres and multiplexes in the city have already implemented the govt notification. Weird things happen when you make words work across scripts. The letter W gets its name from the French double vé (pronounced doo-bluh-vay), which translates to 'double v', which is exactly what it looks like. Now try and match that sound in Marathi. It requires some more letterforms and some matras that don't connect well if you don't have a good font. These connections used to be easier to write and paint. But these days, even hand-painters are influenced by digital font templates. This is more likely to crop up in North Indian languages, as in the Hussunally and Company sign in Hindi and Bangla, where the shirorekha does not connect. The letters were carved into wood separately and then arranged on site. Rocky Malaviya and Hanif Kureshi's homage to the I Heart NY sign is clever and deeply-rooted. In this Hindi and Bangla sign, the shirorekha doesn't connect because the letters were carved separately. Similar issues crop up when using a letterpress. Though I have a soft spot for sweet signs like the one for plumber where the ma and the ba don't connect. It was sincere, grounded, and purposeful, while also being commissioned by the New York State Department of Commerce. Telugu film body strike ends after CM's intervention
Hyderabad: The nearly three-week-long strike by the Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation, which brought film shooting in the region to a standstill, was called off on Thursday following the intervention of chief minister A Revanth Reddy. The CM engaged with all sections of the Telugu film industry, holding meetings with producers and representatives of the striking unions. After inquiring into the primary issues that led to the strike, he ensured that a "common solution acceptable to all stakeholders" was reached, resulting in the strike being called off. Revanth had also emphasised that the incumbent Congress govt, with the cooperation of the film industry, aims to transform Hyderabad into one of India's leading film hubs and a true film capital.
