Dwarves and scantily-clad women pictured at controversial Lamine Yamal birthday party

Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal could be hit with a government probe over his 18th birthday party, which was held in Spain on Sunday and attended by team-mates and influencers Fresh details of Lamine Yamal's 18th birthday party have emerged as the Spanish government continues to be urged to launch an investigation into the bash, which was attended by people with dwarfism and scantily-clad women. ‌ The Barcelona prodigy has been criticised following the private bash, which took place on Sunday. It's alleged that Yamal hired a group of entertainers with dwarfism for the party, which was attended by his Barcelona team-mates and several influencers. ‌ New images of some of the attendees, including several women in revealing clothing, have now emerged online. ‌ Marca claim that the General Director of Disability in the government, Jesus Martin, wants ministers to investigate the party. And the Association of People with Achondroplasia and other Skeletal Dysplasias in Spain (ADEE) have hit out at Yamal's decision to hire people with dwarfism as entertainment, branding such actions as "unacceptable in the 21st century". "The ADEE, a member organization of the Spanish Confederation of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities (COCEMFE), condemns and publicly denounces the hiring of people with dwarfism as part of the entertainment at the recent 18th birthday party of soccer player Lamine Yamal," they said in a statement. ‌ "The Association announces that it will take legal and social action to safeguard the dignity of people with disabilities, considering that these actions violate not only current legislation but also the fundamental ethical values of a society that seeks to be egalitarian and respectful." Spain's Ministry of Social Rights confirmed to BBC Sport that a complaint had been made by the ADEE in relation to Yamal's party. ‌ Despite the backlash from some over Yamal's bash, one of the entertainers in question - speaking anonymously - has defended the Barcelona star. Speaking to RAC1, he said: "No one disrespected us, let us work in peace. I don't understand why there's so much hype about it. We're just normal people doing what we want in a completely normal legal manner." ‌ He then hit out at the ADEE, adding: "For a couple of years now, these people have been harming us. They want to prohibit a job we love, and in no case have they offered work or courses to those affected. "We work as entertainers. Why can't we do it? Because of our physical conditions? We know what our limit is and we never cross it." Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content. She quickly became a viral sensation, inspiring memes, fan art, merchandise and even songs. Thousands of fans flocked to the Khao Kheow Open Zoo - about 62 miles south of Bangkok - to take part in the baby hippo's four-day birthday celebrations. Moo Deng's caretaker Atthapon Nundee said: "Moo Deng has made more people know about the zoo and they travel here, generating so much income for us - which allows us to improve the zoo a lot." The zoo treated Moo Deng and her 26-year-old mum Jona to a 44-pound "birthday cake", made of tropical fruit carved in Thai traditional style. Zookeepers carried the platter into the enclosure, while camera crew captured the sweet moment the pair tucked in. The four-day celebration included a photo exhibition, a charity auction and a parade. A cast of her footprints sold for 700,000 baht (£15,800), while her old plastic bathtub also fetched 50,000 baht (£1,128). Mucharim Chutimatipakorn, who won the bid for the footprint cast, said: "I intended to get this because I love Moo Deng so much. "I also want to contribute to the development of this zoo." Moo Deng is a pygmy hippopotamus. Pygmy hippos are much smaller than common hippos, standing about half the height and weighing less than a quarter as much. She is the seventh calf of 26-year-old Jona and 25-year-old Tony. She became a viral sensation just weeks after she was born at Thailand's Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Si Racha. Her zookeeper Atthapon Nundee began sharing her playful antics online. She's been featured on various platforms, including the official X account. International sports teams like Germany's FC Bayern Munich, the Phoenix Suns and the Washington Commanders have even shared memes of her. What does Moo Deng mean? 'Moo Deng' is the name of a popular Thai dish that is often interpreted as 'bouncy pork' because of the springy texture of the meat. It's a beloved ingredient in Thai soups, stir-fries and noodle dishes. The name was chosen by fans through a social media poll. The zoo has a tradition of naming its hippos after pork dishes. Moo Deng's siblings, who also live in the 2,000-acre open zoo, include: Moo Waan (sweet pork) Moo Toon (stewed pork) Kha Moo (stewed pork leg)
