Rapper rushed to hospital after suddenly falling ill
Rapper Lil Uzi Vert has reportedly been hospitalised in New York City after falling ill at a Manhattan hotel.
According to TMZ, paramedics responded to a call for a 'sick person' at a hotel in Lower Manhattan.
An eyewitness at the scene said the 29-year-old was wheeled out of the lobby about 2.30pm on Monday and was conscious.
Footage obtained by the outlet shows Lil Uzi's security holding up black umbrellas to block the view of the star being loaded into the ambulance.
Lil Uzi's girlfriend, former City Girls rapper JT was also standing nearby.
It is unclear what the singer's current condition is.
Fans of the hitmaker flocked to Instagram, leaving well-wishes after the rapper's sudden hospitalisation.
'YOU GOOD BRO⁉️ STAY UP, WE CANT LOSE YOU 🙏,' one fan wrote.
Another said, 'Yo Uzi, I'm praying for u dawg, get better cuz.'
A third added, 'You okay bro, we can't have another dead rapper 😭😭😭.'
Lil Uzi Vert, whose real name is Symere Bysil Woods, first shot into the spotlight with their 2015 mixtape Luv Is Rage and later secured a spot on the US Billboard top ten with their 2017 single XO Tour Llif3.
