As toddlers (and even older kids) know, dads are often the weak link when it comes to getting what they want.
In a hilarious TikTok clip, Bentley the Cockatoo is channeling his inner 2-year-old as he demands to be released from a time-out.
'Bentley went on a time-out for biting,' his pet mamma said. 'He got mad and threw a temper tantrum like a toddler, but Dad succumbed.'
What a boss! (Bentley, not Dad, sorry, Dad!)
'So stinkin' cute,' a fan noted. 'He wants what he wants and ain't afraid to tell you!'
Of course, when your bird squawks 'I want out!' several times from his cage, anyone would find it impossible to say no to such an intelligent creature. (Even if they've gotten into trouble.)
🐶🐾🐾
'OMG so cute,' another fan wrote on TikTok, marveling at Bentley's speaking ability. 'He's a better communicator than me!'
Bentley's dad is surely communicating that he's a softy, snuggling with his bird baby and truly enjoying some one-on-one time with his feathered friend, after Bentley's release from the cage.
'Can you believe she put me on time-out?' Bentley appears to whisper to his dad in the video clip.
OMG, that's hilarious! The funny thing is that Cockatoos are often compared to toddlers and are known for their expressive personalities, which can include temper tantrums.
So, aside from a little cage time to calm down, what are some other strategies a pet parent can try to get a Cockatoo on a more even keel?Experts recommend rewarding calm behavior with praise, treats, or attention. This can help your bird associate quietness with positive outcomes. They also suggest teaching your Cockatoo to perform an action (like a trick) incompatible with screaming. When your Cockatoo starts to scream, cue the incompatible behavior and reward success.
Hopefully, Bentley learned his lesson after the time-out! Judging by how he's apparently manipulated his dad, though, we have a feeling Bentley's parents are going to have their hands full for years to come. You see, while toddlers grow out of the tantrum phase, Cockatoos typically don't! Good luck, Mom and Dad!

Sydney Sweeney isn't spreading ‘Nazi propaganda' — can't we even have a sexy ad without it causing a meltdown?

Sydney Sweeney and American Eagle are trying to sell some jeans with a cheeky new ad campaign. But according to some unhinged TikTokers — who have clearly spent the last decade marinating their brains in academic DEI speak — the retailer is spreading 'Nazi propaganda' and promoting racism and eugenics. Surely, if Magda Goebbels were still alive, AE would have cast her instead. 7 Sydney Seweney's new American Eagle ad campaign is sparking a flurry of online lunatics accusing them of promoting 'Nazi propaganda.' American Eagle In one video, 'Euphoria' star Sweeney explains that genes are passed on and 'determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color,' before proclaiming, 'my jeans are blue.' A narrator chimes in, 'Sydney Sweeney, has great jeans.' In another, she approaches a billboard with her likeness and the phrase, 'Sydney Sweeney has great genes,' which she alters to cross out genes and write 'jeans'. Get it? it's a play on words with 'genes' and 'jeans' using a Hollywood sex symbol so popular, a bar of soap reportedly made with her bathwater became a viral sensation and quickly sold out. The popular mall brand was making a provocative campaign to move a denim collection — a practice that's as old as advertising itself. 7 Sydney Sweeney in a still from her American Eagle jeans advertisment. American Eagle But in the mixed up world of 2025, the furor is over a Führer. AE is accused of doing a heil Hitler, via Sweeney's rack. Give me a break. Not since Mel Brook's 'To Be or Not to Be' Hitler Rap video has Nazism been so va-va-voom sexy. But folks, we've come to the part in the program where the extreme racialization of everything in society is in the midst of a death rattle. So, in a bid to revive the oppression-in-every-nook-and-cranny movement, these insane, mostly hyper-online leftists have anointed themselves Nazi fighters. 7 A Tiktok user accuses American Eagle of creating a 'racialized dog whistle' with their Sydney Sweeney campaign. The Greatest Generation courageously landed on the beaches of Normandy to snuff out the Third Reich. This new brigade will not leave the house, but they'll valiantly inspect every corner of the internet to find anything that will prop up their twisted fascism fantasy. And they'll make brave TikTok videos about it. Same same, right? 'Praising Sydney Sweeney for her great genes in the context of her white, blue-eyed appearance, it is one of the loudest and most obvious racialized dog whistles we've seen and heard in a while,' said a TikToker who goes by Angie VM Marketing. 7 A woman on Tiktok complains about the American Eagle demin ad. 'When those traits are consistently uplifted as genetic excellence we know where this leads…' Yes, this leads to a host of people exposing themselves as unhinged lunatics with too much time on their hands. 'It's giving 'Subtle 1930s Germany.'' one responded. Another wrote without irony, 'Sydney Sweeney does not have great genes. I like my genes thick, big booty & without racist undertones.' 7 Sydney Sweeney's new American Eagle ad has been accused of promoting Naism because of the wordplay with genes and jeans. americaneagle/Instagram 'This is what happens when you have no ppl of color in a room. Particularly in a time like this. This ad campaign got so caught up in this 'clever' play on words and this stunt the ppl in the room missed what was so blatantly obvious to anyone not white,' wrote another. Ella Yurman, a trans writer, tweeted, 'ohhhh haha like GENES!! i get it! she has good jeans like she has good GENES! hahahaha like in a nazi way!! totally!!!!' Never mind that Sweeney is a natural brunette. This nonsensical discourse — and mocking rejoinders — raged all weekend on social media. 7 Another woman on Tiktok complains that Sweeney's ad was 'Nazi propaganda.' Sweeney, whose greatest sin is being objectively hot and having big jugs, is an unlikely culture war lightening rod. But her second biggest sin is having a sense of humor and not capitulating to the left's demand for purity. It was a little over a year ago when her boobs blew up the internet. After hosting SNL, Sweeney stood on stage in a little black dress that unabashedly showed off her ample cleavage, and the video went mega viral, prompting a flurry of think pieces. In a funny Spectator piece, writer Bridget Phetasy triumphantly declared that boobs were back. Her proclamation prompted writer Ali Barthwell to say that Phetasy's premise was 'fatphobia, misogyny, anti-blackness, transphobia just rolled into one.' In other words, promoting a busty white chick was not only wrong, it's mean to women who are morbidly obese, trans, bearded or has turned her face into a pin cushion. 7 In March of 2024, Sydney Sweeney's busty appearance on 'Saturday Night Live' set the internet on fire and spawned a round of think pieces. NBC In fact, many of women on social media complaining about the denim ad fit that bill. And the Dems wonder why after years of trying to redefine masculinity by smashing it, they now have to commission a $20 million study to simply understand young men. How about ignoring the angry intersectionalist army and let the boys enjoy denim ads with Sweeney without lecturing them about looking at Nazi porn. You'll save $20 million and maybe win an election sometime in this century.

Marvel's X-Men director says the new movie will be ‘recognizably different' from the Hugh Jackman franchise

Following the premiere of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the X-Men are the last major set of characters who have not yet been interested into the Marvel universe. Now that we know Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier will be helming this new version of the X-Men, though, he's offered some detail on what the movie will look like in an interview with The Playlist. When he was asked if Marvel's take on the characters will be 'recognizably different' from the previous franchise, Schreier said 'yeah, I think that's fair to say,' before joking that there was red sniper dot pointed at his chest. Recommended Videos 'But to be able to explore all of the ideas that are inherent to that rich source material, but also at the scale inherent to the source material, that's like a very rare and fortunate opportunity,' the director continued. 'That's very exciting.' Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, said during a previous interview that Marvel's take on the characters would be quite different, explaining that they were 'going to make a youth-focused reboot. That may be reflected in mutant castings, and it'll definitely be felt in the tone and perspective of the film.' We don't yet know what the introduction of the X-Men is going to look like in the MCU. What we do know, though, is that Marvel is bringing back much of the cast of the original X-Men franchise for an appearance in Avengers: Doomsday. Whether any of them will have significant roles remains to be seen.
