Outrageous moment widow TWERKS against her late husband's open coffin during his funeral

Daily Mail6 days ago
Funerals are traditionally known as places of sorrow and solemn reflections.
But one in Peru took a jaw-dropping turn when a widow was caught on camera twerking against a life-sized cut-out of her late husband leaning against his open coffin.
Dressed in all black, the woman was seen gyrating her behind on the cardboard tribute as funeral guests clapped, whooped and cheered her on.
The gathering turned into a full-on concert as reggaeton singer, El Cangri del Callao, a self-described 'wake entertainer', graced the occasion with party hits.
At one point, the performer even encouraged other guests to stomp the dancefloor and shake off their sorrow.
The bizarre send-off, which took place on July 6, was all caught on camera.
El Cangri later posted the clip on Instagram, where it racked up 4.3 million views and nearly 8,000 comments.
Social media hilariously chimed in with one comment saying: 'Hi bro, I'm going to die on 23 July. Are you available?'
Another added: 'They are very young, but in my time we cried at funerals.'
A third joked, 'Widow finds five new loves… at the wake.'
Others weren't so impressed. One commentator fumed: 'We can see how that stupid music makes people stupid.'
But not everyone was clutching their pearls. Another social media user wrote: 'I've performed funerals and wakes, but always from a very different tone to what this video shows.
'I've never had the opportunity to capture a farewell from such a luminous, vivid perspective.'

Liam Payne's sister Ruth Gibbins shares emotional tribute on 15th anniversary of One Direction - nine months after his tragic death

Liam Payne 's sister Ruth Gibbins has paid an emotional tribute to her late brother as the world marked 15 years since One Direction was formed. The band - made up of Liam, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson - become one of the biggest boy bands in history after being put together on the X Factor in 2010. Now, nine months after Liam's tragic death at the age of 31 - following a fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires - Ruth honoured his memory with a touching Instagram post on Wednesday. She shared family photos taken in the same spot years apart which featured in the band's Story of My Life music video. The snaps showed Liam as a young boy and again as a teenager, posing with his loved ones. Alongside the snaps, Ruth wrote a heartfelt message reflecting on her brother's incredible journey and the legacy he left behind. She penned: 'Liam this one's for you '15 years of the 'I'm in a boyband' text, where Dad ran downstairs to tell us all, absolutely gutted at the time that you'd been sent home again, that you'd been put in a boyband. 'Your love of 1D never stopped, you were so proud of what you'd achieved and part of the love remaining, guiding us through this darkness is the love of your fans who have loved and supported you for 15 years, they are always so proud of you, I hope you can see it.' She continued: 'Your love and support for the other boys never stopped, you were first to congratulate about their successes after the band, you always sang their songs and spoke of them and your memories, they were the brothers you'd always wanted. 'I have my favourite memories of your band, and going through my 20s watching your success with such pride. One of my favourite memories is when we were at an after party and Souts was telling us about the 'story of my life' video idea, and you said 'ask him what photo of us we're using', he told us and I turned to you and said 'but Nicola's got a mullet and I've got black hair in it?!' 'And you laughed and said 'I know' absolutely howling that you'd got us to agree to reenact one of our worst photos. We had the best time filming that video with you. 'Everyday in your company was always tonic for my soul, no matter where in the world we were. 'From our dance shows, to small theatres, arenas to stadiums, incredible memories.' It comes just days after Liam's other sister Nicola paid tribute to the late singer on Instagram after watching him in Netflix's Building The Band. Last week Nicola heartbreakingly admitted 'I hate that this happened' and feels she will 'never be able to process his passing', nine months after his tragic death. In the tear-jerking post, Nicola wrote: '9 months ago today, our lives changed forever. I still find it incredibly hard to process what happened. I'm not sure I ever fully will, or even want to. 'Liam, you are the most incredible person. For those of us lucky enough to know and love you, our lives were truly blessed. 'Today, the world gets to see just a glimpse of your passion and talent and wow, you are amazing in this show. 'You cared so deeply about the people around you. You wanted to make a difference, and you are lighting up that stage like you were born to do. 'You were made to be a judge, to guide, to encourage, and to let your voice be heard. Watching you in this show, I've never been more proud. 'I just wish you got to see it. It's everything we knew it would be when we were at filming. 'This show will forever hold a special place in my heart because it's one of the last times I saw you, and I got to witness you shine so bloody brightly, but it's also allowed me to still feel close to you. 'I love you so much, and I miss you even more. I hate that this happened.' Nicola and Ruth are Liam's two older sisters, making him the youngest of three siblings in the tight-knit family. Backstreet Boys' AJ McLean hosts the programme, with Nicole as the main mentor and judge, being joined by Liam and Kelly Rowland throughout the process. And reflecting on her time working with the late singer, the Pussycat Dolls star Nicole admitted: 'We got pretty close through this whole experience.' She told People: 'Liam is such a kind and beautiful heart, and selfishly I'm glad that I got to spend my time with him. I'm really happy that the world gets to see another one of his gifts, which is helping these blossoming artists, these bands. 'He was amazing. I was really impressed with him. He was just so giving and generous, even when the cameras weren't rolling, spending time with all the fans and singing to them. It was lovely to watch him in his element.' The star said it was 'beautiful' to be able to see Liam 'come full circle' after coming third on the X Factor in 2010 with One Direction. She said: 'I saw the joy it brought to Liam. I felt that this was his happy place. Like myself, AJ and Kelly, we've lived this. We've learned it.' Nicole continued: 'To be able to bestow any inspiration and knowledge and wisdom and experience on any of these contestants and these bands, it brought us all joy. Particularly Liam. 'I felt this really inspired him and this was his happy place. This was his happy place because Liam was such a beautiful heart, and he loved to give back. He loved to help.'

Ozzy Osbourne's quirky funeral requests uncovered

Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic heavy metal pioneer and Black Sabbath frontman, has died at the age of 76 on 22 July. His death was confirmed in a joint statement from his wife Sharon and children Kelly, Jack, and Aimee, who stated he was with his family and surrounded by love. In 2011, Osbourne previously shared his vision for his funeral, desiring it to be a 'celebration' rather than a 'mope-fest', and expressed indifference about the music played. He also wished for pranks at his send-off, suggesting ideas like knocking sounds from inside the coffin or a video of him questioning a doctor's diagnosis of death. Weeks before his passing, Osbourne experienced a global celebration of his legacy during a farewell Black Sabbath show, which reunited the original four members and raised £140m for three different charities.

Ozzy Osbourne's poignant funeral plans revealed after the rock legend's death aged 76

revealed his plans for his funeral before his death aged 76. The metal legend died on Tuesday just weeks after he took to the stage for his final show with Black Sabbath, with his family confirming the sad news in a statement. The music world have been grieving his death and now, Ozzy's past comments discussing his requests for his funeral have reemerged. His funeral plans have not yet been made public by his family, but Ozzy previously revealed he didn't want it to be a sad occasion but a time to say 'thanks'. 'There'll be no harping on the bad times,' he told The Times back in 2011. 'It's worth remembering that a lot of people see nothing but misery their whole lives, so by any measure, most of us in this country — especially rock stars like me — are very lucky. 'That's why I don't want my funeral to be sad, I want it to be a time to say ''thanks''.' Ozzy insisted he wanted it to be a celebration rather than a 'mope-fest' and that he didn't care what music was played as long as it made his loved ones happy. 'I honestly don't care what they play at my funeral; they can put on a medley of Justin Bieber, Susan Boyle and We Are the Diddymen if it makes 'em happy,' he quipped. Known for his humour, Ozzy joked he'd like to play a prank to make people smile, such as a playing a video of him asking a doctor for a second opinion on his death. However, in another interview a few years later, Ozzy narrowed down his song choice to A Day In The Life by The Beatles. Ozzy has previously credited The Beatles for inspiring him to become a musician himself, revealing he became an avid fan after hearing their 1964 hit She Loves You. When asked about his funeral song, Ozzy insisted he would want a Beatles number being played rather than any of his own music on the day. 'I really need a few more years to think this over, but probably something from 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band or Revolver,' he told NME in 2016. 'I definitely don't want my f**king greatest hits album - I never ever play that thing, I'm f**king embarrassed about it. And I definitely don't want a f**king happy song - I'm dead.' The rock star died on Tuesday morning with his family confirming the news in a statement. 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,' they shared. 'He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.' He is survived by his wife Sharon and his six children. He shares three kids - Aimee, 41, Kelly, 41, and Jack, 40, with Sharon. Ozzy also welcomed two children - Jessica and Louis - from his first marriage to Thelma Riley, while he also adopted her son Elliot from her previous relationship. The musician had undergone seven surgeries in the past five years, including a fourth spinal operation in 2023, and had been battling Parkinson's disease since 2003. Ozzy took to the stage for his farewell concert at Villa Park Stadium in his native Birmingham less than three weeks before his death. The rocker reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for the first time since 2005 to bid an emotional farewell to his decades of performing live on stage. After selling out in minutes, over 42,000 fans packed into Villa Park for the aptly-titled Back to the Beginning show, which saw Ozzy and Black Sabbath return to their hometown - 56 years after they formed there. The final photograph of him before his death was taken on stage as he sat on a black throne aptly decorated with a bat to perform his best-known hits for his loyal fans. His final words on stage were: 'It's the last song ever. Your support has enabled us to live an amazing lifestyle, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.' A message on screen then read: 'Thank you for everything, you guys are f***ing amazing. Birmingham Forever,' before the sky lit up with fireworks. Before his final show, Ozzy said he hoped to continue recording music after retiring from live performing, but he heartbreakingly died before he was able to do so. He told Metal Hammer magazine: 'I still enjoy doing my own work, I also enjoy singing on other people's work. 'For the foreseeable future, I will keep on recording if the projects interest me, it's very important.' Ozzy's last solo album, 2022's Patient Number 9, featured a long list of guest artists, including hid Black Sabbath bandmate Tony Iommi, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Zakk Wylde, and Pearl Jam's Mike McCready, among others. Black Sabbath pioneered heavy metal music in the early 1970s with hits such as War Pigs, Paranoid and Iron Man. Ozzy grew up in Aston, Birmingham, and Black Sabbath - though they were known as Earth at the time - held their first ever gig at The Crown pub in Birmingham in 1968. They renamed the band in 1969 in tribute to their favourite horror film, and the move set them on the path to heavy metal royalty. Black Sabbath's impact on music was enormous and they brought a heavy metal genre that had been in its infancy when they began to the attention of millions of fans. His wife Sharon later came up with the idea for the fly-on-the-wall documentary about her family that was filmed at their Beverly Hills home. It proved a major hit for US network MTV, running between 2002 and 2005. Aimee however refused to take part and criticised her parents for their antics, despite the fact that the show won an Emmy for Outstanding Reality Programme. It covered major events including Sharon's 2002 colon cancer diagnosis and Osbourne's quad bike crash in 2003. Sharon survived the cancer battle despite a poor prognosis. Ozzy admitted that he 'fell apart' during his wife's treatment, whilst Jack tried to take his own life due to the impact of his mother's condition on his mental health. Sharon forged her own career as a TV star, most famously as a judge on hit talent show The X Factor. She now also hosts chat show The Talk on Talk TV. In recent years, Ozzy struggled with his health and he had to cancel shows in 2019 after a fall left him needing surgery on his neck. He began to experience numbness which he thought was connected to his 2003 accident but in January 2020, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. The star underwent major spinal surgery in June 2022, which Sharon later said had been a success. To help him recover, the family lodged plans for a rehab wing at their Buckinghamshire mansion. The extension was to feature a self-contained nurse's flat as well as 'discreet grab rails and aids' and 'an abundance of stopping and sitting spaces'. The plans also included a 'health and exercise studio' as well as a 'pool house orangery' and 'garden room'. In September 2023, he had yet another operation, this time on his neck once again. He said afterwards that it was his 'last procedure'.
