
J.P. Vaswani's 107th birth anniversary observed as Global Forgiveness Day
This year's theme was based on the power of 'letting go'.
Dada J.P. Vaswani championed the transformative power of forgiveness, teaching that it is essential for inner peace and healing. In this spirit, Global Forgiveness Day is observed on 2nd August, Dada's birthday, with the Moment of Calm at 2 p.m. as a designated time to forgive, said release today.
The 'Let-it-go' box was unveiled recently by Didi Krishna Kumari, Head of Sadhu Vaswani Mission.
The box is a symbolic tool that encourages individuals to release negative emotions such as anger or fear by writing them down and dropping them in it.
The initiative teaches people not to suppress negativity, but to give it up completely — freeing themselves emotionally and spiritually.
450+ boxes were placed in locations across several countries. Many positive reviews poured in.
The Lion's Club and corporates such as Mastercard and WeWork took part in the practice. Spiritual organisations, including Parmarth Niketan, Brahma Kumaris, and Shrimad Rajchandra Mission, also observed the Moment of Calm.
School principals across India expressed appreciation for the practicality of the 'Let-it-go' box.
Sadhu Vaswani Centres in places such as Singapore, Barcelona, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong also joined in the observances, release added.

TN has 1,303 Nilgiri Tahr
Chennai, Aug 5 (UNI) Tamil Nadu a total population of 1,303 Nilgiri Tahr according to a report released today after the Second Synchronized Survey of Nilgiri Tahr. The Project Nilgiri Tahr is a species specific conservation project to conserve the state animal of Tamil Nadu. The Project Nilgiri Tahr was launched by Chief Minister M K Stalin on October 12, 2023 with an outlay of Rs.25.14 crore. It has nine different components which are focusing on Nilgiri Tahr protection, conservation, management of population, assessing its home range, technological interventions, adoption of different scientific methodologies on par with international standards, involving elite international and national experts in different aspects of projects. One among the activity of Project Nilgiri Tahr is Annual Synchronized Survey of Nilgiri Tahr in Tamil Nadu. Since inception of the project, the first synchronized survey was carried out in 140 survey blocks in the year 2024 for three consecutive days with selected regions of Kerala. Currently the second synchronized survey was conducted in 177 survey blocks of 14 Nilgiri Tahr holding forest divisions in Tamil Nadu for four days from April 24 to 27, 2025. The survey was conducted in the month of April, coinciding with the sightings of both mothers and young within the population. The Nilgiri Tahr young one is born between December and January. Hence, the April month is ideal for sighting of adult female and young, and the environmental conditions is favourable with greater visibility. The second synchronized survey of Nilgiri Tahr report was released at Guindy Children's Park here today. Tamil Nadu Forest Minister R.S. Rajakannappan released the survey report in the presence of Ms Supriya Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Environment, Climate Change and Forest, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden Rakesh Kumar Dogra, Dr. Yash Veer Bhatnagar - IUCN Country Representative, among others. The second synchronized survey report of the Nilgiri Tahr was released in collaboration with the Kerala Forest Department. In this event, A. Measures will be taken to ensure cleanliness for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela at Nashik: Minister
West Nashik, Aug 2 (UNI) State Environment Minister Pankaja Munde today said that preparations will begin for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela to be held at Nashik-Trimbakeshwar, and measures will be taken for ensuring cleanliness for the lakhs expected to converge there. Earlier, the Minister had a spiritual darshan of Lord Trimbakeshwar and performed pooja of Trimbakraja on the occasion of Shravan month. Trimbakeshwar is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in the country. Interacting with the media, she said, 'In the coming time, a Simhastha Kumbh will be held at Nashik-Trimbakeshwar. A lot of people will come here during the Kumbh Mela. Therefore, sustainable measures should be taken for cleanliness. The water where the sadhus and mahants will take a dip should be clean. In 2014, when I was a minister, the Kumbh Mela was also held. Now I have become a minister again and am holding the Kumbh Mela again,' she said. Pankaja Munde performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the Swasamvedya Sadhana Peeth of Tulshiram Gutte Maharaj, the president of Siddhivinayak Manav Kalyan Mission, who has been working in the spiritual field for the past many years, at Trimbakeshwar during her visit to Nashik.
