The MCU's erstwhile Iron Man beamed into ABC's Good Morning America on Tuesday to show some love to his successor-of-sorts.
Dominique Thorne and Anthony Ramos were on-set with the morning show, to promote Disney+'s next live-action Marvel series, Ironheart, when co-anchor Robin Roberts hit pause to cue up a message from a special guest.

New Ironheart Trailer: To Protect People, Wakanda Forever's Riri Williams Must Think 'Outside the Box'
Appearing on-screen in a pre-taped bit, MCU vet Robert Downy Jr. said, 'Ms. Thorne, I couldn't be happier than to be seeing you bring Riri Williams to life,' as the young actress first did in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
RDJ then attempted a joke about Ramos' Ironheart character, The Hood aka Parker Robbins, supplanting Doctor Doom (whom Downey Jr. will be playing in upcoming MCU films), before wrapping things up by forming a heart with his fingers and saying: 'Long story short, Iron Man loves Ironheart.'
Thorne responded in kind with a handmade heart and saying to the screen, 'Ironheart loves Iron Man, too.'

Thorne went on to tell GMA's Roberts that this was not the first time since booking the series that she's heard from Downey Jr.
'Shortly after we finished filming [Season 1] in Chicago is when I got the first phone call from him,' she shared. 'He's been so sweet, through and through. So, the support, it means so much. It really does.'
Premiering on Disney+ Tuesday, June 24 at 9/8c (with its first three episodes), Ironheart is set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and 'pits technology against magic when Thorne's Riri — determined to make her mark on the world — returns to her hometown of Chicago.
Riri's 'unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka 'The Hood' (played by Anthony Ramos),' the synopsis tells us.
The series also stars Lyric Ross (This Is Us) as Riri's best friend Natalie Washington, Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story) as friend 'Joe McGillicuddy,' Manny Montana (Graceland) as Cousin John, Matthew Elam as Xavier Washington, Anji White as Riri's mother Ronnie, and Regan Aliyah (reportedly as Zelma Stanton).

IRONHEART Will Push Boundaries in the MCU, Says Producer: 'Almost in the Vein of Walter White or Tony Soprano' — GeekTyrant

Marvel Studios is gearing up to release Ironheart on Disney+ later this month, and according to executive producer Sev Ohanian, this won't be your standard origin story. Riri Williams made her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but this solo series promises something deeper, riskier, and more psychologically layered. Ohanian tells SFX Magazine: 'Riri is brilliant yet flawed and finds herself going down a path that I'm not sure we've quite seen in the MCU. She kind of breaks bad in the show, and we go to some uncomfortable places for audiences that I think will be really fun to explore, almost in the vein of Walter White from Breaking Bad or Tony Soprano.' This signals a very different tonal shift for Marvel's young genius, one that could blur moral lines and challenge the usual expectations of what a hero looks like in this universe. It's an interesting direction to take things and I hope they can effectively pull it off. Ironheart picks up after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever , with Riri heading back to her hometown of Chicago. But it's not a warm homecoming. She finds herself crossing paths with Parker Robbins, aka The Hood (Anthony Ramos), a street-level villain dabbling in magic, something that puts him at odds with Riri's tech-driven worldview. The friction between their two approaches, science vs. sorcery, seems to be at the core of the story. Riri's journey will reportedly spiral into dangerous territory, forcing her to confront not just villains, but parts of herself she may not like. Marvel never really draws comparisons to characters like Tony Soprano or Walter White, who were flawed icons who kept audiences hooked precisely because they were so morally complicated. Whether Ironheart fully leans into that antihero lane or simply brushes up against it remains to be seen. But if Ohanian's comments are anything to go by, Marvel may be tapping into something darker and more introspective this time around. Ironheart premieres June 24 on Disney+.

‘Modern Family' child star Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who played Lily, comes out as bisexual

A former 'Modern Family' child star has opened up to fans about her sexuality. Aubrey Anderson-Emmons played Lily Tucker-Pritchett, the adopted daughter of a same-sex couple, on the 22-time Emmy-winning series. And on Sunday, she took to TikTok to announce that she is bisexual. In her post, the 18-year-old lip-syncs to audio of a scene from the hit ABC show. 'No, I'm not, I'm gay! I'm gay!' her character says, while her stepgrandmother, Sofia Vergara's Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, tells her 'You are Vietnamese.' Her father Mitchell Pritchett, played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson, responds, 'You're not gay, you're just confused ... Oh my God, what is wrong with me?' However, the reveal came in the layover text, in which Anderson-Emmons wrote, 'People keep joking so much abt [sic] me being gay when I literally am (I'm bi).' The caption said, 'happy pride month and to all a good night.' Many fans rejoiced in the comments, with one claiming she was 'the sassy princess raised by two queens,' referencing her parents in the show, Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Tucker (Eric Stonestreet). Another simply joked that she was 'half gay, half Vietnamese,' based on the audio. 'Modern Family' has long been celebrated for its LGBTQ+ representation, with a specific highlight being the marriage between Mitch and Cam. Anderson-Emmons' character joined the show in its third season. During its 11-season run, the show earned nomination in the category of Outstanding Comedy Series at the GLAAD Media Awards for 10 consecutive years, winning in both 2011 and 2012. Since the series ended in April 2020, Anderson-Emmons has pivoted toward a music career. She recently released a single, 'Telephones and Traffic,' and teased another single, 'Don't Forget Me,' out on June 27.

Land of the Lost Reboot in the Works at Netflix

It appears that Marshall, Will and Holly will once again be embarking on a routine expedition that instead leads them to the la-annnnd of the lo-o-o-ossst! Netflix in partnership with Legendary TV is in the 'very early stages' of developing a reboot of the cheese-tastic 1970s cult classic Land of the Lost, Deadline and others are reporting. More from TVLine Bill Lawrence: Scrubs Revival 'Looks at How the System Has Changed' - And Who, Potentially, Has Scrubbed Out The Sandman's Final Season Trailer Features Dream's Return to Hell, Warns 'All Good Stories Come to an End' For First Time, Streaming Viewing Topped Broadcast and Cable Combined in May Sid and Marty Krofft, who developed the original series, as well as Marty's daughter Deanna Krofft Pope (the VP of development at their company), reportedly will produce the project. Neither Netflix nor Legendary are commenting on the trade reports. Land of the Lost, produced by '70s TV staples Sid and Marty Krofft, starred Spencer Milligan as Rick Marshall, who during a routine rafting expedition was transported via waterfall/time portal back to prehistoric times along with his son Will (Wesley Eure) and daughter Holly (Kathy Coleman). There, the family of three contended with dinosaurs, hissing lizard men known as Sleestak, and ape-like primates called Pakuni — including one named Cha-Ka (Phillip Paley), who befriended the Marshalls and eventually learned to speak English. Milligan left the series after two seasons after demanding that he and the cast be compensated for the show's various merchandising endeavors, including lunch boxes, coloring books and board games. He was replaced by Ron Harper, who played Will and Holly's uncle Jack in the third and final season. (Harper and Milligan both passed away in spring 2024.) A 2009 film comedy version of Land of the Lost starred Will Ferrell, Danny McBride, Anna Friel and Jorma Taccone. Best of TVLine 'Missing' Shows, Found!
