Not that we needed yet another reality series based on the lives of influencers, but here we are. "House of Streams" is the latest concoction in the ever-growing crossover between internet fame and reality TV.
This time, the twist is crypto. The Netflix series throws eight popular streamers into a luxury villa, arms them with challenges, and promises a Bitcoin prize currently worth over $108,000 to the last creator standing.
Hosted by sports and entertainment presenter Nicole Holliday, who's no stranger to the digital world, the show aims to shake up the genre by putting livestreaming at its core.
Each moment is broadcast with a live chat feature, giving viewers front-row seats and direct influence over what happens next.

Streaming, once a niche hobby for gamers and tech heads, is now a full-blown industry. The success of platforms like Twitch, Kick, and YouTube Live has made it a legitimate career path and a lucrative one at that.
Millions tune in daily to watch creators play games, cook, chat or simply exist. What makes it work is the immediacy: it's unscripted, unpredictable and feels like you're hanging out with a friend.
"House of Streams" is set to lean heavily into this vibe, banking on the parasocial appeal of letting fans not just watch, but shape the show.
Netflix Sets Interactive Reality Series 'House of Streams,' Where Streamers and Content Creators Battle for Bitcoin (EXCLUSIVE) https://t.co/2GB5gsBjTs — Variety (@Variety) May 22, 2025
The casting process was no small feat. Over two months, creators from around the world applied. Out of dozens, 13 made it to a second-round interview, with eight finally selected to move into the house, plus one on standby.
Their combined social media following exceeds 4 million, with creators representing the UK, US, and Australia. It's a global digital playground with plenty of potential for drama, alliances, and viral moments.
Unlike traditional reality shows, the viewers have a seat at the table, literally. Decisions about challenges, rewards and consequences are voted on in real-time.
It's as much a social experiment as it is entertainment, tapping into the obsession with watching other people live, compete and unravel, one livestream at a time.

In her open and honest conversation with Koetle, the 'Uzalo' actress talks about navigating the 'hardest period' of her life. 'It's hard navigating that alone because it wasn't the plan. That for me was so hard having to go through my divorce with a six-month-old baby," she said. Video Player is loading. Cooking for love: Tom Holland uses his chef brother's recipes to impress fiancée Zendaya

"Spiderman" actor Tom Holland cooks vegetarian meals for his wife-to-be Zendaya. Image: Instagram. Tom Holland is making sure his fiancée, Zendaya, is well fed, and it's all thanks to his brother, Sam Holland. In a recent interview, Sam, who is a chef and will soon be releasing his debut cookbook, said that he sends Tom tailor-made plant-based recipes for him to cook for his busy wife-to-be. "I'm especially proud of the veggie section. Zendaya has a plant-based diet, and I sent those recipes Tom's way as he was on dinner duty while she was making a movie in Boston. "He went through them one by one and really enjoyed them," Sam told the magazine. Sam, who often helms the family's Christmas dinners, insists that his recipes are easy and meant for any level of cook, even the "Spiderman" star. He said his brothers, including his twin Harry, their younger brother, Paddy, and Tom, could manage to make decent versions of these meals, even though "they are all probably a bit worse than beginner cooks". From meal prep tips to speedy dinners and fakeaway favourites, this book is all about making great food without the faff. "No fancy ingredients, no complicated techniques, just good food that fits into real life." However, back in December on the "Dish" podcast, the "Spider-Man" actor shared that he enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, particularly with vegetarian meals. He added that he is a "fine cook". "I'm starting to like, venture into a lot of vegetarian cooking. My girlfriend's vegetarian. I've been in Boston these past few weeks and she's been working, so I've been doing a lot of the dinners,' Tom explained at the time. Still, he admitted that not every dish was a win: "They haven't been great. There's been a few like, 'Let's just order in'." During the interview, Tom was asked about his favourite dish. He shared: "I actually love Zendaya's spicy vodka fusilli thingamajiggy that she does. It's delicious." Tom, who proposed to Zendaya in 2024, also credited his brother Sam for elevating the Holland family's culinary traditions. "My brother Sam is a chef, and each Christmas dinner is getting better and better and better. It's something that I always look forward to ... Bless him, it's a big undertaking, but he's getting great at it." Watch snippets of the podcast below.

South African dad declares 'no more noodles' in viral TikTok family meeting

Father calls a family meeting declaring that he will no longer be buying noodles. Image: Screenshot / TikTok 'No more noodles!' A South African dad is fed up with everyone in his family constantly eating noodles, so he has demanded that no more noodles be bought when they go grocery shopping over the weekend. With over two million views, the clip of the family meeting called by the dad has gone viral on TikTok. The Mzansi's Greatest Family, who have over a million followers, are well known for sharing funny videos. In this instance, the dad shares his frustration about how many noodles everyone in the family eats and the fact that, because of the noodles, they are no longer sitting down as a family to have meals together. What bugs him even more is that no one, including the mom, cooks anymore. After the children protest about this new rule, he admits that he also likes noodles, but remains adamant that he no longer wants them in the house. Video Player is loading. Next Stay Close ✕ He points out that since the children simply make the noodles and eat them in their rooms, they no longer sit down and eat as a family. While he doesn't have a problem with noodles being an in-between meal, he no longer wants them served for dinner. Even though he directs the request for more home-cooked meals to the whole family, he specifically turns to his wife, saying, 'Sometimes, my love, you don't cook.' The family, clearly up in arms about this decision, are told to speak to him one-on-one to discuss the matter further as he concludes the family meeting. Followers of the popular TikTok family were impressed with the father's leadership skills, while others felt the meeting was subtly directed at the mom for not cooking as much as he would like her to. 'The subject of the meeting was the mom, the kids were there for his protection,' said one viewer. Another wrote: 'This was a strategy to address 'my love', so everyone had to get involved.' Noodles have become a winning dish for many, especially when it comes to little ones. They are quick and easy to make, and of course, there's the slurping that kids adore.
