The initiative supports the government's Soft Power policy to position Thailand as a leading global destination while presenting the country's charm through fresh perspectives and unforgettable experiences. Under the concept 'Rhythm of Thailand', the campaign invites travellers to discover their own rhythm of travel in Thailand — a journey rich in colours, flavours, and unique identities. The strategy focuses on content collaboration, pairing 10 renowned international creators with 10 talented Thai influencers to explore 10 must-visit destinations: Khao Yai–Nakhon Nayok, Buriram, Surat Thani, Krabi–Trang, Phetchaburi, Loei–Chiang Khan, Rayong–Chanthaburi, Nan, Sukhothai, and Chiang Rai. Together, they capture and share their experiences from diverse cultural perspectives with audiences worldwide, inspiring travel and promoting confidence in Thailand's sustainable tourism. Mr Nithee Seeprae, TAT Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications, said: 'This is the first time Thailand has truly co-created a tourism experience between Thai and international talents. It is not just about reviews — it is about a mission where people from different cultures, who have never met before, come together to journey, experience, and share the charm of Thailand in their own rhythm. From food, art, Muay Thai, and nature to culture and local lifestyles, the meaningful missions of all 20 creators have now been completed. We invite everyone, both in Thailand and abroad, to follow this collaboration and see how it reflects the beauty, attractiveness, and quality of Thailand's tourism in a deep and distinctive way.' 'Awakening Song Wat' brings art to the street
Song Wat Road, the historic street in Bangkok's Chinatown, is being illuminated with digital light art at night during "Awakening Song Wat 2025" which is running daily from 6pm to 11pm until Sunday. Held for the first time by Friday Originals with the support by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the light and digital art festival brings light to small alleys and hidden corners in the culturally rich Song Wat neighbourhood, offering fresh perspectives on this historic district. On display to revive the stories, spirit and identity of this iconic riverside area under the theme "Culturalight" are 14 installations created by a line-up of both Thai and international artists. They are spread across 12 locations covering alleyways, courtyards and passageways, inviting visitors to discover new dimensions of Song Wat's urban fabric and long-standing commercial legacy. Standing at Baan Rim Naam is Wong Wat by Than-T who captures the spirits of Song Wat through spinning wheels made from layers of colourful acrylic, etched with motifs inspired by the neighbourhood's architecture, calligraphy, cuisine and daily life. When lit, these wheels cast playful overlapping shadows across the walls. Glowing under multicoloured light at Charoen Watana, one of Song Wat's oldest warehouses, is Light Supplies by Pann Singharaj x Supernatures x Yaard. Made from repurposed shipping sacks, the installation transforms this historic hub into a luminous gathering ground of memory. Other highlights include Hand, a projection mapping installation by Ocharnakorn; Pay Respect, My Child – It Brings Blessings by Kamin Phakdurong; Grab Cultural Gate, a light installation designed by Waranyoo Kasurop journeying into the culinary world of the district; and Song Wat Song Dance, an interactive dance floor featuring Chinese lanterns, flowers and food icons. Exclusively on Aug 16, there will be a mini concert by Melodic Corner at 7.30pm and at 8.30pm.
