‘The poor, poor child' people say as mum reveals the X-rated name given to her daughter without knowing what it means

The Suna day ago
PLENTY of parents opt for more unique names for their little ones, but one young mum has come under fire for the X-rated moniker she gave her daughter.
It turns out the young mum had no idea what the word really meant when she set her heart on it, and people have been. left stunned.

This comes after a Reddit user revealed that her cousin, 20, created her own name by fusing two different names together - except she had no idea the word already means something else.
Taking to the online forum, the concerned family member explained that the name came from her grandparent's names, Harvey and Charlotte.
Despite the sweet sentiment, the name left the family in chaos/
In the viral post, the Reddit user said: "She named her something so horrific I cannot even call the baby it.
"She combined two names and came up with... 'Harlotte'."
It turns out no one had any idea what the name would be until it was too late and all the legal documents had already been signed, so no one had a chance to talk the mum out of it.
"My mom burst out, "YOU NAMED THE BABY W****???" and my cousin started screaming. We are a loud family, but holy hell,' the Reddit user added.
Although spelt differently, the unusual name sounds exactly like the word 'harlot' which, unfortunately for the little one, means 'prostitute'.
The Reddit user said she refused to use the name, so used a nickname when she was born, but doesn't know how long it will last.
After revealing the name people couldn't believe she didn't know what it really meant.
Marnie Simpson reveals first video of newborn baby daughter and very unusual name
"I would immediately and INSISTENTLY start calling that child Lottie and never look back," one person commented on the viral post.
A second wrote: "If she doesn't immediately change it to Charlotte, she's a bad person for not making things right for her child's future."
"It's a shame - I feel this was a lovely gesture that backfired due to ignorance," someone else noted.
And another said: "Oh no! Honestly, it's a cute idea and I see where she was going. I assume a lot of 20 year olds may not be familiar with old timey misogynistic insults.
"It's so easy to change her name right now though."
Meanwhile, others pointed out some other combinations of the name the mum could've picked instead, including Charley, Charvey, Harley, or Harvette.
Are Unique Baby Names Worth The Hassle?
YOU may think having a unique name helps you to stand out, but is it all it's cracked up to be?
Fabulous' Deputy Editor Josie Griffiths reveals the turmoil she faced with her own name while growing up.
When I was a child, all I wanted was one of those personalised keyrings with my name on it.
But no joy, the closest I could find was Rosie, Joseph (not great for a little girl) and Joanne.
Josie is short for Josephine, which is a French name, and I managed to reach my 20s without ever meeting anyone who shared it.
When I try to introduce myself to people, I get all sorts of random things - like Tracey and Stacey - which can be pretty annoying.
Although I have come into contact with a couple of Josies over the last year - there seems to be a few of us around my age - it's still a much rarer name than most of my friends have.
On the whole I don't mind it, at least it's not rude or crazily spelt.
And it means I can get away with 'doing a Cheryl' and just referring to myself as Josie.
I'm getting married this year and some friends are shocked that I'm changing my surname, as it's not seen as very cool or feminist to do so these days, but I explain to them that I'm not that attached to Griffiths as I'd always just say 'hi it's Josie' when ringing a mate up.
I think it's nice to be unique and I'll definitely try and replicate this when naming my own kids.
It's the rude names you've got to watch out for, so after nine years as a lifestyle journalist I'll definitely be avoiding those.

David Beckham larks around with son Cruz in swanky St Tropez restaurant in fun-filled snap... hours after extending olive branch to eldest Brooklyn amid 'feud'

has shared yet another sweet family snap on Instagram, amid his ongoing 'feud' with son Brooklyn. Taking to the photosharing site on Saturday, the family patriatch, 50, larked around with his youngest son Cruz, 20, in Chez Camille restaurant in St Tropez. In the image, Cruz and David were in peals of laughter as the former attempted to put a bib adorned with the restaurant's logo on to the latter. Making a joke about their ages, the accompanying caption read: 'How times have changed , it used to be me putting the Bib on you @cruzbeckham looks like it's my turn to not spill my food @victoriabeckham'. His latest post comes just hours after he appeared to extend a tentative olive branch to son Brooklyn, 26, by 'liking' his latest video on Instagram. The Beckham clan are currently in the South of France, while Brooklyn is sticking his wife Nicola across the pond as their alleged fall-out rages on. While the majority of the Beckhams have been putting on a giddy display packed with in-jokes and relaxation, their eldest son has been sticking by his wife. Earlier this week, Brooklyn and Nicola looked happier than ever across the pond in New York as they marked three years of marriage by reaffirming the promises they made to each other. He looked to be missing out on a fun-filled trip, as the other offspring made the most of their trip together in St Tropez. Brooklyn left the south of France to return to the U.S, where he was spotted looking glum on an outing in New York with his wife and mother-in-law, Claudia, on Tuesday. In another update, Brooklyn embraced his billionaire father-in-law in snaps from the family getaway to St Tropez. He enjoyed a friendly beer with Nelson Peltz, 83, before packing on the PDA with wife Nicola onboard the businessman's superyacht. Amid the trip the couple enjoyed a swanky lunch with Brooklyn's godfather Elton John, who sources revealed planned the dinner in a desperate attempt to calm the family's feud. Nicola shared a slew of final holiday snaps from the couple's lavish trip before heading home to the US.

Wedding guests watch 'screaming match' after bride slams guest's dress

One bride's special day took a turn for the worse when she ended up in an argument over a guest's dress No bride wants to feel upstaged on her wedding day. Yet, that's exactly how one newlywed felt after seeing her cousin's wedding day outfit. According to the wedding guest, the bride confronted her and they ended up in a 'screaming match'. ‌ Despite this, people are siding with the cousin after seeing the dress she wore to the occasion, which she revealed when she shared what happened in a Reddit post. Taking to social media, the cousin claimed: "I wore a sky blue cocktail dress to the wedding because it was a beach wedding so I thought it would be nice to wear that, but my cousin got mad. ‌ "She accused me of trying to one up her in her own wedding and trying to steal the attention. My aunt told her to calm down and said that it's just a dress and it's not like I'm wearing a white dress to the wedding. I'm not even wearing a necklace, earrings and heels either since my cousin would think I'm trying to one up her." ‌ Unfortunately, the family could not resolve the conflict. "It became a screaming match and my aunty, uncle and my cousin's partner had to pull her away because she wouldn't stop yelling at me. I went home to avoid drama." She added: "My parents and siblings asked why I wasn't there and I told them what happened. They were mostly on my side but they didn't want to get involved and I can't blame them." However, she did want to know if anyone else thought she was in the wrong for wearing a 'sky blue dress' and took to Imgur to share a photo of the midi dress, which had an A-line silhouette and thin shoulder straps. Reacting to the post, commenters struggled to see the issue, as many thought the dress looked nothing like a wedding gown. Someone replied: "I can't imagine what other dress would be more perfect or appropriate to wear. Like it's a very decent semi-modest dress with the longer length, cute, blue like the ocean." Another response said: "That dress is literally a basic beach wedding guest dress. If that was enough to set her off, she was looking for a reason to be mad. You didn't wear white, didn't overdress, didn't show up in heels and diamonds. ‌ A different commenter agreed: "If that's the dress, I can't see a single thing wrong with it. It's so obviously not white and it probably was not even part of the bridal party's colors. "I see no harm. It was perfectly appropriate for a beach wedding," while a reader added: "The bride was worried that a pale blue dress would photograph as white. It happens. "Still, she was out of line. No one would confuse you with the bride on the actual day. If the dress does appear white in photos, she can just edit you out. Problem solved."

My hubby's ex lives with us, still wears his wedding ring & even caught us in the shower but we're raising kids together

A MAN has revealed that his husband's ex still lives in the family home, and still wears his wedding ring. Mark, 59 used to be married to Tom, 71 and the pair share a son and a daughter named Coy and Beau. 2 2 The children are twins, and were welcomed by the help of a surrogate, with Mark genetically related to one child, and Tom the other. The twins were born in 2017, and their two dads separated in 2018, but continued to live in the same home to co-parent. "I wanted to be involved with the kids growing up and Mark realised that, and we do get on really well", Tom told Truly. Then Mark met Moke, 62 at the gym, and the pair instantly hit it off. "I finally found the love of my life, and now I have to live with a three-way", Moke said. Mark and Moke got married last year, and Tom said he at first felt "depressed" by the news. "But you know, life goes on, and we get along." Addressing Mark and Moke, Tom said: "You guys are perfect for each other, and I love you both." At the beginning of their relationship, Moke lived in a separate home, as he didn't want to confuse the children. However, the trio then decided to buy a larger house, with Tom living in the pool house out the back. I'm married to a man double my age - now we've become a throuple Beau and Coy love having three dads as "when one says no to something, I have a shot with the next one." However, there has been some tension within the trio, as Tom refuses to take off his wedding ring, despite being divorced from Mark. Moke has also found Tom's lack of boundaries a struggle, as he has walked in on the duo in the shower before. Mark and Moke are now planning on having a child using the same surrogate, so that all three kids have the same birth mother. What is surrogacy? Surrogacy is the name given for a type of pregnancy where a woman carries and gives birth to another person's baby. The surrogate mother is then expected to give up the baby at birth, so it can be raised by the couple who originally wanted the baby. Surrogacy is often an option for those unable to have children themselves, or for same sex couples. According to surrogacy charity Childlessness Overcome Through Surrogacy (COTS), there are two different types of surrogacy. Traditional surrogacy: When the surrogate uses her own egg fertilised with the intended father's sperm. Gestational surrogacy: The surrogate carries the intended parent's genetic child conceived through IVF, for which specialist doctors are needed. How are surrogate babies conceived? In traditional surrogacy procedures, the egg is artificially inseminated using a syringe. Gestational surrogacy is carried out through IVF. During this in vitro fertilisation process, the egg is removed from the woman's ovaries and fertilised with sperm in a laboratory. The embryo is then planted in the surrogate's womb to grow and develop. This procedure must be carried out by specialist doctors and the biological mother is required to still have working ovaries. Tom is still going to be involved in parenting the new baby, despite the fact he won't be biologically related to them. "I'm excited about Tom being a third dad to the new baby", Mark said. Surrogate Ashley, who is the kids' biological mum, is also now heavily involved in Beau and Coy's life, adding another parent to the mix. Moke's family members, such as his cousin Christa, were at first concerned by the family dynamic. "Mark and Moke were getting married and starting this beautiful life together and his ex husband is there? I didn't understand it", she said. However, after spending time with the trio, Christa and other family members can see how well the dynamic works. "It's triple the fun, triple the drama, triple the excitement in this family", Moke said.
