After a very busy weather week, we will be rewarded significantly with perfect July Fourth weather in the Philadelphia region on Friday.
There will be low humidity, sunny skies, light winds and seasonably mild temps — get out and enjoy! It will be great conditions for fireworks! High pressure will linger through the weekend over the region, with mostly sunny skies, highs in the 80s, and comfortable dew points in the low to mid 60s.
The holiday weekend is shaping up to be a nice one, with no weather issues expected to impact your plans the entire weekend. Incredible!
Next week looks to be unsettled again with highs near 90, humidity climbing back up, and pop-up storms blanketing the Delaware Valley — pretty typical summertime conditions. There aren't any weather alerts at this time, but your NEXT Weather team will be monitoring the situation and update you as conditions warrant.

Peak temperatures next week could be reached on Saturday, according to A maximum heat of 37C has been forecast for the counties of Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. In its long-range forecast from July 8 to 17, the Met Office advised that temperatures could become "warm or very warm once again" in some parts. A spokesperson said: "Likely a fairly cool start to the period with a few showers still to clear from the east, but for most it should become fine and dry, although some chilly mornings are possible. The National Weather Service predicts a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday, with a temperature high of 89 degrees. There has not been a stormy Fourth of July since 2019, according to the NWS historical climate data. But just because the weather is gray, does not mean we can't still celebrate the red, white and blue — it just may need to be an indoor party. The National Weather Service warns against swimming during a thunderstorm because of the risk of lightning. The general rule of thumb is, 'if thunder roars, go indoors.' It's best to get out of any body of water and stay inside until 30 minutes after the last thunder clap. Here's a few ideas on how you can celebrate Fourth of July safely inside.
