No longer in the group is Linda Henry, CEO of Boston Globe Media, who has officially sold her minority stake in the team. Henry announced her intention to sell her stake in February and is no longer affiliated with the team.

Amazon to broadcast 17 NBA Cup games, including championship, on Prime Video
Amazon announced its NBA Cup broadcast schedule on Wednesday, with Prime Video slated to show 17 of the games, including the championship. The league also announced the overall NBA Cup schedule on Wednesday, with several matchups already assigned to broadcast networks. Prime will show 10 NBA Cup group games and the knockout rounds. Its NBA on Prime Cup Nights will feature five straight weeks of group play doubleheaders starting Oct. 31. That night, Boston will visit Philadelphia and Memphis will host the Los Angeles Lakers. On Nov. 21, Cleveland will host Indiana and Denver will visit Houston. On Nov. 28, Milwaukee will travel to New York and the Los Angeles Lakers, with LeBron James and Luka Doncic, will host Dallas and No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg. The other 50 group games will be split between ESPN, NBC and NBA League Pass. There will be group play Nov. 25 on NBC, when Philadelphia hosts Orlando and the Los Angeles Clippers visit the Los Angeles Lakers. ESPN will show a trio of group games on Nov. 26. Detroit visits Boston, MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and defending champion Oklahoma City hosts Minnesota in a rematch of the Western Conference Finals, and Golden State hosts Houston. Earlier this week, the opening night, Christmas and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day games were announced. The full schedule — 80 of the 82 games for all teams — will be released Thursday. A look at Venus Williams' tennis career and comeback. She's returning to the US Open at age 45
Venus Williams is back on the professional tennis tour at age 45 and will be returning to the U.S. Open next week for her first Grand Slam competition in two years. She received a wild-card entry for singles from the U.S. Tennis Association on Wednesday — she will be the oldest player in that event in New York since Renee Richards was 47 in 1981 — after earlier getting one for mixed doubles. Here is a look at the career of Williams, who owns seven Grand Slam titles in singles, 14 in women's doubles with her younger sister, Serena, and two in mixed doubles, plus a record five Olympic tennis medals: Venus Williams' pro tennis debut came in 1994 Williams, who was born in Lynwood, California, on June 17, 1980, played her first WTA tournament in Oakland in October 1994, at 14. In the first round, Williams faced Shaun Stafford, the 1988 NCAA singles champion, and won 6-3, 6-4. In the second round, Williams lost to Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, who would retire with four Grand Slam trophies. The first Grand Slam event for Venus Williams was the 1997 French Open Her Grand Slam debut came at Roland-Garros in 1997, eliminating Naoko Sawamatsu in the first round and losing to Nathalie Tauziat in the second. Later that year, Williams played in the U.S. Open for the first time and reached the final before losing to Martina Hingis. The 1998 Australian Open featured the first Venus vs. Serena matchup Venus beat Serena — who is 15 months younger — in the second round of the 1998 Australian Open, the first of 31 meetings as pros. The Detroit Pistons' 2025 NBA Cup schedule was released Wednesday, Aug. 13. The Pistons, one of five teams in East Group B, will visit the Brooklyn Nets on Nov. 7 to start their in-season tournament schedule, host the Philadelphia 76ers on Nov. 14, play in Boston for a nationally-televised game against the Celtics on ESPN on Nov. 26, and then conclude group play with a home game against the Orlando Magic on Nov. 28. The Nets are rebuilding, the Sixers have exciting young guards surrounding injury-riddled veterans Joel Embiid and Paul George, the Celtics won't have Jayson Tatum (Achilles) and traded starters Jrue Holiday (Portland) and Kristaps Porzingis (Atlanta) and the Magic acquired Desmond Bane to form a dynamic top four. Orlando is the betting favorite to win the group, with the Pistons and Sixers with the second-best odds according to BetMGM. The Pistons have three known national games ahead of the full NBA schedule release Thursday. Both are home games, against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Oct. 27 (Peacock) and against the Celtics on Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. (Peacock, NBC).
