I cried myself to sleep at pushback over glam car boss vids – but I had last laugh turning down HUGE OnlyFans cash
GLAM car boss Nadia Adan was told she could drive an income of €200,000 a month if she started her own OnlyFans - but she hit the brakes to keep motoring on with her thriving business. Saleswoman Advertisement 9 Nadia Adan is the mastermind behind luxury car dealership Ashford Motors 9 The glam business woman has a large social media following 9 The fashionable boss was able to turn down a whopping sum to start an OnlyFans due to the success of her business The Nadia has racked up 128,000 followers on Instagram, 234,000 fans on TikTok and 37,000 followers on Facebook. Advertisement And the gorgeous entrepreneur has also raised thousands for charity by selling stunning calendars filled with pictures of her posing with luxury cars. And she revealed her business has been doing so well, she was able to turn down the lucrative opportunity to make an extra €150,000 to €200,000 a month on The subscription-based website sees subscribers pay to see content creators' exclusive material - some of it raunchy in nature. Nadia told the Irish Sun: "They approached me. So there's these OnlyFans agencies. "Basically they calculated with my following that I'd be starting off making maybe €150,000 to €200,000 a month, which is serious coinage to be fair. Advertisement "I said, do you know what, I'll have the chat and I'll consider it and all that because, obviously it's a lot of money." Nadia continued: "Obviously with OnlyFans there's extremes to it and then there's people on it who just write "For my type of content, it wouldn't have been extreme stuff. "It would have been stuff that's out there now already, pretty much, but that's just on a subscription-based platform." But Nadia explained: "They contacted me. I sat down with them. I did have the chat and then in the end I weighed everything up and everything that I built and everything that I am. Advertisement "And I just said, you know what? It's just not for me because I've other things in the pipeline." On top of having just opened a new premises and selling luxury cars through social media direct messages, Nadia teased a lingerie collection coming down the line. While having made a name for herself in the business world, Nadia has also become a social media star with fans arriving to her showrooms to snap a selfie with her. 9 Nadia has seen huge success with her sexy calendars 9 The glamourous shoots are in aid of charity Advertisement 9 The calendars have sold worldwide and raised thousands It is that social media following that has helped Nadia build her brand into the successful business it is today. The motor mastermind made the switch to car sales just before the pandemic as she was unhappy with her job as a stockbroker. And breaking into a male-led industry as a woman, she noticed a gap in the market. Nadia noticed videos where she appeared on social media tended to drive better traffic than just ordinary Advertisement 'PUSHBACK' Despite "pushback" at the start, the businesswoman revealed people began to take her more seriously when they realised her business was booming. And with the pandemic just after hitting, Nadia seized the opportunity to keep her business afloat. She explained: "That's when I went on social media and started pushing the business and that's when I started going viral. "Then what made me want to just keep doing better was the pushback I was getting, people in the beginning saying, 'She can't do it, she's not a dealer.'" TEARS AT THE START She told us: "When I started doing the videos, I had pushback from women and men. Yes, it was from men, but it was also women as well. Advertisement "I sort of was scratching my head at the beginning and it did affect me. "There was nights were I was crying myself to sleep saying, 'Am I doing this right? Am I doing it wrong?' "But then I just kept going and I think as I kept building the business and as I kept selling the cars - selling really expensive cars and looking after people, people then eventually went, 'Hang on a second, she's talking the talk, but she's also walking the walk.' "Social media is basically like another shop floor and you have to be creative. You have to find your own way to do it." 'WOMAN IN A MAN'S WORLD' Nadia continued: "And for me, I just was lucky that I did it at the right time. It was the pandemic. Everybody was on the phone. Advertisement "Also the woman being in a man's world, then the bit of cleavage, you're just throwing it all at someone and people couldn't figure it out. But it all just worked, and it went big. "I always kept, fundamentally, a good business behind me, people would have loved the chance for me to do the wrong thing so they could tear me down." Females have traditionally been used in car adverts to appeal to the male gaze over the years. And Nadia explained taking back some of that power and choosing to put herself in front of the camera to sell cars feels empowering. 'DOING IT FOR MYSELF' She explained: "In the 90s, we saw all these car adverts of women in bikinis, and stuff like that, selling cars, but that was the man's choice doing it. Advertisement "They were slapping the women on the bonnet and doing it. Whereas now I'm kind of doing it for myself. "And those videos kind of have toned down because of the way the world's gone but because I'm doing it for myself and it's my business and I'm pushing my brand, it's kind of different. "But it does work. It does work really well. "I was really trying to go against the grain to be really open with people. My personal brand, it's my face out there at the end of the day." CALENDAR GIRL Nadia has been selling sexy calendars for two years now, sourcing one-of-a-kind cars and posing for the camera. Advertisement And Nadia revealed even into the summer months orders are coming through for her 2025 calendar and buyers often ask for a calendar alongside their new set of wheels. The snaps on the calendar pages might be a little bit raunchy, but the intent behind them is inspiring. Nadia said: "I wanted to do something for charity and "Basically they calculated with my following that I'd be starting off making maybe 150k to 200k a month, which is serious coinage to be fair." Nadia Adan "I would have a lot of men buying cars off me, because it's more of a men's buy rather than women, even though that women category is growing. "I would have had a lot of men messaging me and telling me what they're going through at home and domestic abuse. Advertisement "And I always thought Men's Aid was a great charity because it's very undervalued, underfunded and men generally don't talk about what they go through at home in terms of domestic abuse. "So I wanted to come up with a product that I could then sell and with the money, then in turn, donate to Men's Aid. So that's when I got the idea of the calendar. "I've been doing them two years in a row. So the first year we did so well, we ended up being able to donate over €5,000. "And last year we did three times the amount, so €15,000, through the sales of the calendar, we were able to donate to Men's Aid." WHAT YOUR CAR SAYS ABOUT YOU EXPERT dealer Nadia was able to give us some insight into what certain cars say about their owners. EVS: "Owners are typically people that work in tech, very technical people. "They tend to be very tech led and they want everything new. Very black and white type of people." PORSCHE: "You'll have two types of Porsche owners, people that can't afford a Porsche, but come in and like ask you everything about it and take every test drive. In the end, they go, I don't know, I'll have to come back to you. "Then you have the Porsche owners that are very certain type people, very anal, they want everything perfect. VW GOLF: "You'll have young lads that come in, maybe buy a Golf 4 and they might be apprentices. "There might be plumbers, electricians, that type of guy." LAND CRUISER: "The farmers come in and buy their big Land Cruisers and stuff like that. "And they're always haggling, looking for a deal." Nadia's last calendar, which sold almost 1,000 copies, was titled Nadia at the Movies, featuring vehicles famous for movie appearances. Advertisement She explained: "We sold worldwide, literally every state in America. We sold to Australia, I even sold to a Caribbean island that I never heard of. "We sold to a fleet of Ukrainian soldiers as well. I could not believe how worldwide they went though my following on social media." FAILED FRAUDSTER Despite being a smart businesswoman, disaster almost struck when a fraudster attempted to scam Nadia out of thousands. Callum Kearney, 23, was In Nadia's case, Kearney video-called her as she guided him around the two cars at her Ashford Motors dealership in Wicklow, which were worth €89,950 and €54,950. Advertisement Having often sold cars online in similar fashion, the scenario did not strike her as unusual, and the swindler showed her fake bank transfers. But when she searched the address that Kearney requested the cars be delivered to, she found it was a property The caged fraudster stole a car from a Co Cork dealership, prompting 'WOULD HAVE CLOSED ME DOWN' Nadia holds no resentment towards Kearney, but acknowledges her business could have fallen apart at his hands. She told us: "I really do wish him well but yeah, it was a near miss. Advertisement "There's no issue. I forgive and I just hope that he gets the help he needs because clearly he needs it and it's fine. "After that, it's just made me so, so diligent with deals that like we just do not let the cars out of our sight until the deal is done. "It's just something like that shakes you. It definitely would have closed me down. "I would have closed the door straight away if I did lose that stock." "I sort of was scratching my head at the beginning and it did affect me. There was nights were I was crying myself to sleep saying, 'Am I doing this right? Am I doing it wrong?'" Nadia Adan Nadia explained to us the process of selling a car from just one online video. Advertisement She said: "Whether it's on "I think that's one of the great things because everything has gone so online now. People have gotten used to it because of things like the pandemic. "We've all gotten used to messaging a business online, asking them what time they're open, asking about prices." ALWAYS IN CONTACT She added: "There's certainly many people that don't even want to talk to on the phone. They're just happy to text through DMs or whatever. "And a lot of the time they see a video, they'll message and sometimes they'll message at like 11pm at night. Advertisement "I'm on the phones literally from the morning until like 2am. So, a lot of times I'd be replying to someone at 10pm. "When they see a car going up, they'd say, 'Oh, I love that. What would you give me as a trade in?' And then they'd send me the details. "I'd give them a price and I go, 'Yeah, grand, ring me in the morning.' You ring in the morning, get them down, get them into the car. "So it's just basically making you more approachable." 'PEOPLE BUY FROM PEOPLE' Nadia added: "People buy from people. I really, really believe people buy from people. Advertisement "You just have to find that common ground with your customer, you'll always find a common ground. It's just the questions you ask. "Then it's all about the deal. What deal you can give them. They want to feel like they've left with something extra. "And then they want to know they're being looked after and that they're buying from somebody that will look after them if anything goes wrong." 9 A near-miss scam incident has made the business beauty more vigilant Credit: Collect 9 Nadia believes a great saleswoman can find common ground with anyone to help drive a purchase Credit: Collect Advertisement 9 Business is booming for Nadia in Wicklow Credit: Facebook
