Rescue teams to continue into fifth day of searching for missing Jenny Hall
Searches for missing Tow Law woman Jenny Hall are set to continue into their fifth day.
The 23-year-old has been missing since Tuesday (February 18), when she was last seen leaving her County Durham home just after 3pm.
Mountain rescue teams have been scouring remote moorland between Eggleston and Stanhope and running trails over the last few days after her car - a red Ford Focus - was found parked on the B6278 on Wednesday.
Durham Constabulary said teams had covered more than 100 miles of land so far in the search for Jenny, and on Friday turned their focus to regular running trails.
The Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team, which has been involved alongside several other rescue teams, has issued an update on the fourth day of searching this evening (Saturday, February 22).

They say seven mountain rescue drones, 10 mountain rescue dogs, and more than 60 mountain rescue volunteers have been assisting in the search today, confirming that teams will continue tomorrow.
They said: 'The team have spent a fourth day searching for Jenny Hall.
'We have had significant assistance from other mountain rescue teams and in total we have had seven mountain rescue drones, 10 mountain rescue dogs and more than 60 mountain rescue volunteers assisting today.
'We will continue to search tomorrow. Many thanks to Penrith Mountain Rescue Team, Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team, Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team, Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team and Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team for the drones.
'Many thanks to Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team, Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team, Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team and North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team for completing the foot searches and supporting the dog teams.

'And last but not least, many thanks to Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA), Edale Mountain Rescue Team, Calder Valley Search & Rescue Team, Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team (BPMRT), Derby Mountain Rescue Team and North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team for providing search dogs and handlers.'
As previously reported, Chief Inspector Dean Haythornthwaite yesterday confirmed that the force does not, at this stage, believe there is any third party involvement or suspicion around her disappearance.
Digital intelligence officers have checked Ms Hall's mobile phone, smartwatch and running apps, but have found no leads.
Mr Haythornthwaite said: 'We have become increasingly concerned for Jenny since she was reported missing on Tuesday and have been exploring all lines of inquiry.'

Jenny is described as white, 6ft tall and has very long dark hair. She was last seen wearing a blue hoodie with a John Deere logo and dark jogging bottoms.
Jenny's family have now confirmed that she may have been carrying a green jacket and had her hair up in a ponytail.
Anyone who believes they may have seen Jenny or has any relevant information about her whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately on 999.

Coming out in Portland: Support from unexpected places
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Jenny Nguyen remembers ' everything like it was yesterday' the day she came out to her parents when she was 17. 'I remember laying down in bed just sweating and thinking about how I had what felt like I had lived only half my life up until that moment by hiding this other half of myself and how I felt like I needed to come out,' Nguyen, the founder and CEO of told KOIN 6 News. After what felt like the longest 5 minutes of her life, she got up from the bed and went to her parents. 'I just start crying. And my dad said, 'It's OK. What's going on?' And I told them that I was gay. And my mom's reaction was pretty swift, which was something to the effect of, 'How do you know? Are you sure? Maybe it's a phase', all of the lines that we sometimes hear,' she said. 'Dad was emotional. And he goes, 'You know what? We love you. We'll help you figure it out.'' 'And,' she said, 'I got up and I went back downstairs and I just crawled back into bed.' Jenny felt she was finally able to move forward. But her parents had to face their own journeys on how to show support and acceptance for their only child. That adjustment did not happen overnight. 'It was a little tough,' Jenny's dad, Tuong Nguyen, said. 'I kept a straight face at home, but I remember I worked B Shift, which is from 3 to 11pm. I actually drove to work and I cried at work. I had no one to share with. And I actually caught my wife crying at home, by herself, in a room. So it was a tough adjustment.' Tuong, who worked at the City of Portland Wastewater Treatment Plant for 33 years until he retired, continued to support Jenny's love for sports. Sometimes they'd run into Chris Mack — who worked with Tuong — at sporting events. 'When there was an American Basketball League here, Tuong and Jenny were at some of the games and I had season tickets, so I was there all the time,' Mack said. Mack eventually became Tuong's boss and the two worked together daily. 'She became kind of my confidant,' Tuong said of Chris Mack. 'We spoke a lot about Jenny and stuff. It definitely felt a lot like an outlet for me to let it out. All my other coworkers, I don't share that much with them. But her, yeah, I felt comfortable.' Seeing Chris be a strong, no-nonsense professional he greatly respected helped Tuong see how Jenny's life 'out' would not stop her from succeeding. 'I'm so grateful,' Jenny said. 'I'm so grateful for that because it really helped my dad to be more supportive and open and kind.' The unique bond between co-workers grew through the years and The Sports Bra is something else that brought Jenny, Tuong and Chris closer together. 'I brag about it all the time,' Chris said. 'My family lives in Michigan, so when they see anything about The Sports Bra, they call me and tell me or they send me the article. So it's kind of like a family thing now, too.' The is to be a place that 'supports, empowers and promotes girls and women in sports and in the community.' The 4th annual Pride Block Party will take place in July at The Sports Bra. Chris loves 'coming here because when you look at the TV screens, there's women playing ice hockey and it's like, wow, that is so cool. And the roller derby over here.' Each coming out experience is different. But Tuong and Chris want others to know they don't have to go through it alone. 'What I would say to somebody who's questioning or find somebody to talk to, it doesn't matter who it is, but just get some support and be able to talk stuff out a little bit,' Chris said. 'It's a personal story,' Tuong said, 'but you know that there are people just like you in the same boat as you and can help you cope.' As for Jenny Nguyen, she's found her way and is comfortable where she is. 'I used to feel like I never belonged in any spaces. I was always the odd one out,' Jenny said. Nevada County Sheriff's Office K9 helps seize narcotics and a firearm in Grass Valley
( —A K9 search led to an arrest and seizure of narcotics and a firearm on Tuesday afternoon. According to the Nevada County Sheriff's Office, with the help of the Grass Valley Police Department, two individuals were arrested for multiple serious drug offenses at around 4:30 p.m. following an investigative stop in the parking lot of a business on Hughes Road. NCSO stated that the suspects have been identified as Kalen Turner, 34, of Nevada City, and Katriena Mulligan, 24, of Grass Valley. NCSO Deputy Ramos and her K9 partner Riggs were on patrol going down East Main Street in Grass Valley, where she saw a suspicious vehicle backing into a car wash but not utilizing the facility. The deputy recognized the vehicle from a prior criminal investigation of drug and property crimes in Nevada County, according to officials. Deputy Ramos conducted a visual surveillance of the vehicle at the business and contacted GVPD since it was within their jurisdiction. Rep. Josh Harder announces legislation to stop invasion of 'stinky' golden mussels NCSO stated that GVPD officers and investigators arrived in the area and assisted Deputy Ramos with observation of the vehicle, which was a 2013 gray Ford Focus. After 20 minutes, the NCSO deputy and GVPD officers saw Mulligan arrive driving a 2007 white Scion and contact Turner, the driver of the Ford Focus, according to NCSO. Both of them drove to a convenience store on Hughes Road, where they parked together behind the businesses and away from the view of the road. NCSO said, 'Detectives were able to position themselves to continue to watch Turner and Mulligan, who then proceeded to complete a 'hand-to-hand' transaction witnessed by the officers.' NCSO Deputy Ramos and GVPD officers conducted a stop on the suspects' vehicles in the parking lot, where narcotics and drug paraphernalia were seen in plain view, according to authorities. At this time, both of the vehicles were searched, yielding the discovery and seizure of fentanyl and paraphernalia from each of the cars and in addition to indicia commonly used in illicit drug sales. This also included a scale and packaging materials in Turner's car, according to NCSO. K9 Riggs is trained and POST certified in narcotics detection and was deployed to search the vehicles, where he detected narcotics in both of the vehicles, NCSO stated. Riggs also alerted to the engine compartment of Turner's vehicle, where crews found 90 rounds of ammunition and a handgun under the hood. Both of the drivers, Mulligan and Turner, were booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on multiple drug charges, NCSO stated. Authorities said that Turner is being charged with being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as possession of a controlled substance with two or more prior convictions. At this time, there was no mention of what Mulligan is being charged with. Austin woman injured in crash with semi
Jun. 4—A 69-year-old Austin woman was injured Tuesday afternoon after her vehicle and a semi collided on Interstate 90 one mile east of Albert Lea. Titian Elizabeth Butash was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin for injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The report stated Butash was driving a 2007 Ford Focus eastbound on I-90 near milepost 158, along with a 2020 Peterbilt semi truck driven by Spencer John Theis, 33, of Belle Plaine, when the two vehicles collided at 3:26 p.m. Theis was not injured. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor, the report stated. The Clarks Grove Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance assisted at the scene.
